I'm watching it too, very surprising.
Not surprising, just history making.
What would you, as a coach, do to try to mount a comeback right now?
Really, you just try to play your game. You try to disrupt the Stanford offense with some different defensive looks, but you just have to play your game. There is no such thing as a 8 point play. There's plenty of time, you just have to work your way back in.
It's not crashing the boards that's hurting them, it's block off on the boards. Since I started watching with 10 minutes to go, Stanford has 4 or 5 offensive rebounds. And UConn has taken numerous ill-advised shots.Well said. I'm thinking maybe crash the boards a little harder and play defense more aggressively (don't foul them).
Also, they can't get too comfortable out on the perimeter. Sure, they just got a three, but they need to get to the rim.
Not a coach but back when I was in middle school the coach there was also my math teacher. He didn't really like talking about math so we'd wind up talking about basketball. His theory was that you consider each play like a game/competition. You win more of those than the other team does and you win the game eventually. Take each one individually and try to get a single win at a time.

You can play defense more aggressively, but that would make a person wonder why they haven't been all along.
They need a good look, no matter where it is. I don't know anything about UConn, but it is an elite level college program, so I would assume they have players who can shoot anywhere on the floor. Run your offense and get good shots, don't settle for poor shots like Moore just took that barely caught iron.
Hard to crash the boards with some of the shots UConn has had though.Yes, that too, I just think that they're not being aggressive enough on the offensive boards either.
That's how a player should look at it. A coach has to approach the game differently though.

Do you rank this streak above UCLA? I know they had more wins, but I can't...
