Dixie Carter
Brooke Hogan to join @IMPACTWRESTLING as the Executive in Charge of the Knockouts!

A Second Generation Wrestling/Reality Star Hybrid ... oh my!

Eh, at least it's not that fuck Nick Hogan(yet.) She's no Stephanie McMahon, but if she marries Robert Roode or some shit, I'm outta here heh.

Big Poppa Pump, what do you think of Hogan's daughter joining TNA?

Big Poppa Pump
And maybe that P.R. firm can help your daughter too! Bcuz she admitted she could be a great
****e,when she tweeted that she could make more money on her back than I did in my wrestling career

What do you guys think of Brooke Hogan being signed by Impact?

I just don't understand this move AT ALL.

What is the purpose other than Hogan giving his daughter publicity and/ or TV-time.

What does it do for the company short term-long term?

What will Brooke's role be like? will she manage the Knockouts or will she be a manager.

This seems like such a shit move. It almost reminds me of Garret Biscoff, except that Brooke will be shoved down our throats outside of the ring.

I expect from Brooke a lot of botches, a lot of non-wrestling related nonsense and just no simple value. The only way and I mean ONLY way Brooke will be of any use is if she were to debut as a heel and join forces with the heels against her father. Some sort of power struggle angle. I just hope her mic skills aren't horrible and that she at LEAST knows the names of every wrestler on the roster. Do you guys think she might have watched some of her dads old wrestling videos?

By the way I wonder if Hogan told her to eat her vitamins and say her prayers...

What I love about TNA at the moment is the top guys. Just take a look at the main event. Its so versatile, vibrant and energetic. This past year Impact has done an amazing job of building guys up slowly but steadily. You probably know who I'm talking about but just for reference's sake. Styles, RVD, Sting , Angle, Roode, Aries, Storm etc etc hell even those Jersey shore dudes got build up. Everyone can challenge anyone and it makes for fun TV. Just look at the champion Roode. How many guys has be beat and think about it like this. Isn't it amazing that the he has defeated so much challengers. I think Hogan said it best that before Bobby Roode became the IT-factor of pro wrestling, Impact was a mess. People stabbing eachother, different champions but now everyone has a common enemy. Bobby Roode.

Man, I reaaaaally hope that his King Mo guy does something for the company. I mean as a WWE fan I really find TNA entertaining and talented. So now I'm a WWE and TNA fan. They really deserve the 2.0 rating. But knowing Vince he won't even let a .1 slip his iron fist of steel. But that TNA has been hitting a 1.# for a couple of years also says something about the company.

So my questions to the TNA hardcore insiders:

I heard in an interview that Dixie is over a 100 milion in the red is this true?

Will this company ever grow to the point it can LEGIT challenge the Mcmahon empire?

What was the highest rating ever in the company history?

Are the ratings IMPACT now has a good thing or a bad thing?

It's her last shot at not having to do real work and being a celebrity. I'm pretty sure Bischoff/Hogan and Flair all joined TNA with the idea that they could get their kids in at some point or another - knowing WWE would never take them and needing money themselves. Before we even knew about Garrett, Reid Flair was actually signed too a contract but I think he's having all sorts of problems with arrests and drugs (he's been arrested and found with Heroine before.)

To me the Knockouts don't really matter and as long as they look good (which is all I really care about) then I don't mind and Brooke is decent, I guess. Better then Karen Angle at least. I don't think she is going to wrestle so while I don't like the idea of all this nepotism by these guys, at least it's a female who can't really impact the show all that much.

I don't believe this, that would be insane and they wouldn't be signing an MMA fighter and going Live this summer if that were the case. I heard not too long ago that TNA was in the black and while I can't even say that, I doubt TNA would go too 100 Mil in the red. I don't think they are making much profit atm, but they definitely in that kind of debt either

Will this company ever grow to the point it can LEGIT challenge the Mcmahon empire?

Well depends by challenge. I think TNA could start having similar tv ratings as Smackdown but anything more then that isn't going to happen anytime soon. They won't have a higher rating then Raw, they won't have the same attendances or PPV buys, but I think they will grow and gain more viewers, while WWE continues to lose viewers and attendance numbers fall.

What was the highest rating ever in the company history? 1.5. The show Hogan debuted on a Monday night. The second highest was on a Thursday Night when James Storm beat Kurt Angle to become World Champ, which was like 1.4. Both shows had over 2 millions viewers.

Are the ratings IMPACT now has a good thing or a bad thing? The rating had been consistently over 1.2 not too long ago, but have dropped as of late and back around that 1.0 water mark. One way to look at it, is that Impact is out doing UFC's Ultimate Fighter show. Impact is Spike's highest rated show and if Impact were on a channel with more viewers in general (as USA which Raw is Broadcast on has about a 3.0 rating for every show) the rating would probably be higher as well. TNA isn't blowing the roof of the place ratings wise, but they seem to have a hardcore fan base of 1.4-1.5 million viewers who always tune into the show.

I believe TNA will hit a 1.5 again this summer at some point.

Amidst their recent signings, I'm happy to say I've also re-signed with TNA. I'm excited for this next year, and see #GREAT things ahead...

And all was right in the world.

According to several sources close to the situation, Ric Flair has indeed quit Impact Wrestling, and he basically just stopped showing up to events. The assumption at this point is that he's going to sign a WWE Legends deal and help fill time on the new TV network. Flair has energy drink and lottery endorsements to fall back on, too.

Additionally, WZ has learned that Alex Shelley quit TNA as well. Apparently WWE will fill extra TV time with, among other things, a Cruiserweight division and/or tag teams, and are looking for smaller wrestlers by way of stocking either, or both. While it has not been confirmed, Shelley will likely go to WWE. There has also been talk of WWE running a Cruiserweight show on the new Network, which could also be a possibility for Shelley.

Alright, I liked having Flair but he cost too much and was too much trouble. I can live with him leaving, but Shelley??? Why??????? :icon_sad:

I don't know what happened! Why wasn't Shelley used all this time?

I mean it's not a huge loss because Shelley hasn't been a great character as of late and I think Sabin is the better wrestler of the two, but I think like everyone else, I was just waiting for this guy to break out. Things would of definitely been different if he had been face.

Another thing is, this continues the trend of WWE taking advantage of things TNA is not and should be. The X Division should look like the WCW Cruiserweight Div and we should be seeing cheap talent from indys/mexico/ etc competing in 3-4way matches, gimmick/hardcore matches etc.

Now WWE is bringing back the Cruiserweight Div (which I knew for a while) and that in of itself can work as an enjoyable 1 hour show. And they also have signed indy stars Moxley, Hero, Castagnoli, Brodie Lee, Rollins, as well as having guys like Sin Cara, Hunico in place to go along with other indy skilled talent like Bryan, Tyson Kidd. And they still have their bodybuilder/underwear model/second generation stars who they have developed well.

This bothers me not so much that WWE is going to get much better then TNA, but that WWE has a lot of talent that they won't and just can't spotlight appropriately who we could of seen in TNA, but instead we'll see them like fetching Cena a water bottle in a backstage segment. Though, the type of talent they have stock piled might succeed in spite of WWE and if we see 2006 Alex Shelley debut in WWE, the prophesy of him being the next Jericho might actually come true.

When I first read two stars leaving TNA, I figured it was Matt Morgan. And I would of been ok with that, that guy just constantly gets in the way and I can't stand when he opens his mouth.

As for Shelley, if he is indeed gone from TNA, I do hope he shows up in WWE and they use him to his full potential. He's a good heel and I'd like to see him on some type of programming. If he goes to ROH, I'll never watch him. The Papparazzi gimmick would be good for him too as he already has a gimmick which so many in WWE lack. While MCMG wrestling was good, I think Shelley lost a lot of his entertainment value with it, so I hope he goes back to how he was when he was hanging out with Kevin Nash.

I'm glad Flair is gone. Lets look at some facts.

He's expensive.
Who has he been teaching and building up recently? Garret fucking Bischoff.
He's talking about his 2 hall of fame rings of the WWE on TNA!!? on SPIKE!? tell me there is nothing wrong this?
He hasn't contributed to ratings one damn bit.
What do most people remember Flair for? Wooooooo~~

Yeah I'm glad he's gone. Don't get me wrong I really like Flair, but just not in TNA. He's out of place. I'm liking the idea that he's signing a legends contract and all but thats just spitting in the face of TNA. I mean isn't there some loyalty left to a company who pays you a night about 20000? for a guy who has no relevance left to the younger fans. Its a shame and Flair should be ashamed. But hey I guess he needed the money right?

I just hope this guy goes out to Vince and convinces him to acquire some of the TNA talent. Thats the only positive thing that could come out of him with his experience in TNA.

Crush, what are your thoughts on James Storm? Or who of some of the other talent you like or dislike?

Crush, what are your thoughts on James Storm? Or who of some of the other talent you like or dislike?

I like James Storm, but I don't see the big fuss made about him. I certainly see that he's TNA's top babyface at the moment. I've enjoyed his matches with Bobby Roode but I find his promo's to be really.. how should I put this, lackluster and cheesy. At first I thought it was his accent but then again so many people have had accents in the wrestling industry and worked a promo very well. I like his matches, but I'm not a big fan of his look. His long hair and beard make him look like a lord of the rings character. He should cut his beard to a scrubble or leave it very long and pointy. But he's a great character with in my personal view some small flaws. But I'm for Roode vs Storm. Because despite of the details I've mentioned, I really like Storm.

I dislike the Jersey Shore boys. I mean come on.. really?

So... yeah, looks like Jeff Hardy is the new TV title champion.

My pick would of been Mr. Anderson as I think he has the mic skills to really carry feuds well. One thing people don't give Anderson credit for is how well he's able to have feuds with people which eventually leads to his opponent getting over, win or lose. He did it for the Pope before he faced AJ for the title, he did it with Bully Ray and his feuds with Angle/Hardy are some of the best in TNA.

With Jeff Hardy/RVD as champ, you get name recognition and interesting matches, but the rest of the work is left up too the opponent (i.e. Daniels vs RVD.) Anderson is able of having more psychological battles.

I think the TV title match has run-in written all over it.

Yea. I don't see the BIG Three winning because I think they all have some so many appearances on their contracts and cementing them on the show each and every week would conflict with their house show schedule and such.

Thought I'd post some twitter comments after tonights show for all my lil Jenksta's out their.

Don't feel bad @JoeyRyanOnline, people who actually have talent scare us. Then all the blames on us when things go south. #ImpactTonight

Joey Ryan Tweets
Somebody tell Johnny Ace he can reach me at [email protected] - I know he's not stupid enough to turn down money.

Pritchard, @TheRealAlSnow & @OfficialTazz know that a NO is ridiculous. They know I'm money. I dare Tazz to say something to my face now.

Don't bring me in just for your NO agenda. It's not my fault that Flair went into business for himself so why am I being punished?!

What a joke. @IMPACTWRESTLING is pathetic. I'm not good enough for your company? C'mon @TNADixie really? You make me laugh! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Also Samoa Joe
@HeymanHustle good piece of mind. (CM Punk replied to this with "Gospel")

Currently being escorted from the premesis to avoid a incident on the companies "big night".. Riiight, enjoy the show

Wtf?

Samoa Joe has got himself a title match at SV so I'm interested to see what happens with him. I hope this isn't the last we've seen of Joey Ryan.

Darn, the rating for last night ain't looking so good.
1.29 million viewers with .4 rating in 18-49

Usually when TNA gets around a 1.0 rating, they have 1.4+ million viewers and a .5 in 18-49.

I wanted Joey Ryan to get a contract, but really it all depends on who TNA is planning to bring into the company and how much money they are willing to spend.

Joey Ryan wouldn't be my first choice, as I don't know much about him, but I liked the idea of adding that personality to the roster, as well as he is a competent in-ring performer and 12 year vet. I'm sort of conflicted though since Ryan isn't an elite X Division style wrestler(from what I've seen) but I just think there is so much you can do with his character.

For me, I'd like to see TNA bring in a ton of cheap wrestlers and have a fast paced gimmick match every other show or so. Like having someone like Jack Evans on once a month and rotating guys like Evans, other AAA talent, Tony Neese, and other indy stars. So the X Division would have 20-50 contestants, but it'd be basically a ton of guys being paid per appearance (some would have contracts and most would be working towards a contract.)

The problem with the X Division is that it's not a sustainable career, which is why I think it always needs fresh blood flowing through it.

Btw, I was not happy to hear that TNA hired an apparent sex offender in Dave Lagana(if it's true.) That shit about asking wrestlers for sexual favors in return for pushes turns my stomach and is the things I hate the most about the wrestling business (rumors or not.)

Um, what does Dixie Carter means when she says "Christian4Peeps is joining us for the ppv?" I guess WWE got Flair so they decided to give TNA Christian and I'd assume he's the first inductee? :icon_neutral:

TNA should try and work a deal to get the IC title since I think combining the US and IC is complete bullshit :banghead:.
