Chad should be fun up there in Boston. He's a frustrating guy for sure, but if anyone deserves a chance to win something, he's one of them.

Jonathan Josepeh to Houston.

Hopefully this doesn't mean Nnamdi goes to the Jets. He should take a look at staying in the bay area, or hitting the beaches of Florida, or even joining up with Joseph. No Jets though, please.

And with JJ being gone, the Lions more then likely have to go resign Houston and get a guy like Richard Marshall (which I wouldn't complain about). They got another starting spot filled with Durant, so get 2 CBs, and let the guys already signed fight out for the other LB spot.

Been hearing rumors that the Vikes might be going after Braylon Edwards.

As well as a Vikes fan, I'm also a Browns fan, and I cannot stand Braylon. But damn it the Vikings need receivers.

Braylons a good receiver. He had a hell of a year last year, and has been great in Cleveland. He would be excellent in Minny. And if you want to bring up the Drops thing, well, he led the Jets in targets last year, and had the least amount of drops of the regular receivers.

Ocho going to New England fucking sucks. Love Ocho, and I'm worried his personality will be stifled by Bill Boring Belichick. Haynesworth is a good move since it costs them nothing, but again, I don't know how he'll magically transform into a non-locker room cancer.

Yeah I know Braylon is a good receiver, I just didn't care for how he left Cleveland is the main sticking point. If he joins the Vikes I'll welcome him no problem because he is excellent player.

Unrelated note, I now have two jerseys to burn at some point. My Black and White Sidney Rice Jersey, and my throwback Darren Sharper jersey. I think it's a sign, buy the regular fucking jerseys and shit like this won't happen. I bout the Sharper jersey right before the Eagles playoff game. He got hurt a few plays in and was gone from the Vikings afterwards.

Braylon is a number one receiver plain and simple. His "drops" are a ridiculously overrated stat and every time he has had at least a competent qb he has put up some good numbers. Pair him with McNabb and the Vikings will win 8 games.

You didn't like how cleveland forced themselves to trade him because he got into a bar fight with a friend of LeBron James? If that happened now, they'd probably root for Braylon.

So you burn jerseys of players that are no longer on the team? Isn't that a bit of overkill, Ty? 75% of the jerseys I own are of people no longer on the Jets, but I don't burn them (hell, I still wear them sometimes).

I don't drop money on jerseys anymore for that reason. My Moss and Jason Bay jerseys are collecting dust.

::Ignoring that I spent $150 on a Lucic jersey a couple of months ago...::

Nah, just give em to me

Still didn't like him.

Don't worry, the Sharper jersey was a $30 investment (on clearance at Scheels). The Rice Jersey I shipped in from Taiwan at $20. So really I"m not sad about it, I can go and reup jerseys from the site I used on the cheap. And they're the stitched on numbers, not the cheap printed on numbers. High quality. Reason why is I'm superstitious as fuck. When we played the Saints in the 09 Championship game, I was going to burn the Sharper jersey then because I perceive bad luck from it. Like I said, my regular jerseys, there's no problem. My throwback/special design jerseys, bad luck.

Braylon Edwards has never been given the opportunity to play with a great, or even that good of a quarterback. He has been in the league for 6 seasons, 4.25 of them were with shit qb's in Cleveland, the last 1.75 were with a solid young quarterback but it was in an offense that focuses on the running game and doesn't pass all that much. Plus Sanchez has only been in the league two years and still relies heavily on his tight ends and short passes to backs out of the backfield.

The one year in Cleveland where the qb play was actually solid Braylon had 80 catches for 1289 yards and 16 tds. Braylon's 904 yards and 7 tds this past year with Sanchez is the highest yard total and td total a receiver has gotten with the young qb.

The whole stone hands thing is also blown out of proportion. Yes he has had some trouble with drops in the past but a lot of great receivers do. You want to know who led the league in drops last year? Wes Welker. The same Wes Welker who gets praised for how sound of a receiver he is fundamentally. Terrell Owens has been just as bad if not worse then Braylon throughout his career when it comes to drops yet that is rarely discussed about him.

Nnamdi, Samuels, and Rogers Cromartie?

Yikes. When Samuels or DRC is essentially your Nickel corner, who you throwing against?

If Vick stays healthy, and that's a big if, the Eagles are my favorites to win the NFC. Nnamdi and DRC are possibly the best corner combo in the league which will improve the defense and their offense is explosive.

Not really.

He barely (26 targets for Leon Washington, 18 for TJ, 0 for Greene; 11% of his passes) threw to his backfield in year one (not having a check-down was part of the reason he threw 20 picks in year 1), and in year 2 he had LT who is pretty good at it (74 targets in 2011,; 15% of his passes), but Sanchez hardly relied of him, only throwing to his backs approximately 19% of the time.

And do you know who led the Jets in targets this past season? I'll give you a hint, it's Braylon Edwards. Not a Tight End, the very Wide Receiver in question. And Holmes was at 94 targets and only played 12 games, so he would have easily surpassed Keller (100 targets) had he not had the 4 game suspension.

You're dead right about this. Drops are entirely overrated, as every receiver drops it, especially when they are targeted as much as the top guys are. Braylon only dropping 2 is damn impressive, considering his 102 targets.

HOWEVER, I can't not talk about braylon without posting this...

And when looking for that again, I found this....

I want to end this on a positive note, so lets look at a good Braylon gifs. Like this one after the Pats playoff game:

He's still a good QB

In two years he has an average of a 54.4 completion%, 29 tds to 33 picks, and a qb rating of 70.2. Good isn't the word I'd use to describe him at this point in his career.

19% is about 1 out of every 5 throws. Considering running backs are never your main target unless it's a screen or swing pass that is a fairly high percentage. He didn't use the backs that much as a rookie but like you said that was more because of a lack of talent on their part.

I would fucking hope that the top receiver on your team has the most targets. Keller was still targeted a ton and led the team in receptions. LT was tied for third in receptions. Keller was second on the team in receptions last year. By saying he relied on tight ends and backs I'm not saying he threw to them every play just that he used them more then usual, especially this last year. A lot of quarterbacks do that, it's not a knock on him at all.

First Hunter Pence and now Michael Bourn. What little Astro fans had to cheer for is now gone. I hope their prospects work out for them. Could be a long next few seasons in Houston.

The Phillies seem to love picking up Astros.

I really like the aggressive way the Bears are going at the free-agent market. I just wish they would budge on a deal for Olin Kreutz. Even if he is old, he is still the cornerstone of that offensive-line. If he doesn't sign, the line will be even worse this year than it was last year.

That Tigers game was one of the best I've seen all season from an entertainment standpoint. Just a shame a few errors possibly cost Verlander his 3rd ever no-no.
