The Knicks are 4 games back for the 5 seed with only 21 games left for them to go. They're too inconsistent and that's probably too big of a hill to overtake the Hawks for #5. Hell, the Sixers are only 1 loss behind the Knicks for 7th. They have a higher chance of going down then up, even with their big 3.
You're right. They CAN fall back, and they might not be able to jump up. However, they could very well move up. We're talking about the Atlanta Hawks here, not the Boston Celtics. The Hawks aren't this model of amazing consistency, and they very well could drop back a bit, and couple that with the Knicks improving, and they COULD overtake them.
And does that 4 games include the whoopin the Knicks put on the very Hawks we're talking about here? Not sure. Either way, I'd put more faith in the Knicks moving UP, then down. They're a much better team then Philly, and I can't see them losing ground.
Of course the way the top half of the conference is going, they'd rather be at 6 and play the Heat, then jump to 5 and play Orlando.
I hate to break it to you Trooper, but Chauncey Billups has been one of the most inconsistent players in the league these past few years. Some nights he looks unstoppable, and other nights he looks God awful. Right now he's on a bit of a hot streak; you just better hope he doesn't cool down by the time the playoffs roll around.
and I hate to break it to you, jmt, but Chauncey Billups is still an ELITE Point Guard. Even if he's been inconsistent. He's also still a much better option at Point Guard then what a shitload of other teams have, including the Miami Heat. No, he isn't the best PG in the league, but he's still top 10, or even better, especially now that he's playing with 2 elite talents like Melo and Amar'e.
Also, his defense is atrocious. I mean, ATROCIOUS.
What's defense? Who cares if his D is "
ATROCIOUS?" I'll tell you one guy that doesn't give a damn, and that's Mike D'Antoni, he of the run-and-gun Phoenix Suns fame, now the Head Coach of the NEW YORK KNICKS, the very team that Chauncey Billups plays for. And his "
ATROCIOUS" D didn't stop the Knicks from holding the Miami Heat and their great offensive talent to only 86 fucking points. Look, maybe he isn't a good defender, but the Knicks get by fairly well without great (or even good) defense.
Trooper...why the fuck did you have to irritate me with this? We all know about the Yankees success. Nobody but Yankee fans and baseball historians care. We don't need you to remind us. Now please, anytime I mention Heat, pressure, and Yankees like I did, just agree and shut up!
You know what, man, fuck you. Seriously, what the fuck, man? You make a comparison, I show that there is a big difference between the 2 teams you are comparing, and you shit on me? I like you man, but what the fuck. And yeah, the Yankees having vastly better Regular Season success is a valid point to fucking make, asshole. I don't give a shit if you don't like it, when I'm correct, I'll fucking say something, and if you don't like it, then you can just shut the fuck up.
