Stormtrooper, just wanted to let you know that if Mark Sanchez looks better than ever next season, you will have one person to thank for that... Drew Brees. Brees has been working with Sanchez this off-season apparently.

He did the same for Josh Freeman last year.
Well, Brees would get some thanks, but I think most of the credit would be for Sanchez himself, and the coaching staff, etc. But I know what you mean. Learn from some of the best. Nothing wrong with that.

It actually kind of bothers me he does this. I mean, I respect and appreciate how classy the guy is, but damn it... these guys could end up killing us in the future, especially Freeman.
You're reading too much into that stuff. All these guys are tight nowadays (they know each other from league functions, having the same agents, working out at the same facilities, etc). Plus the Saints won't play the Jets again until either a Super Bowl or 2013 season (at the earliest), so it's not like Sanchez is a big deal. Freeman, yeah, but again, just because he is working with a guy doesn't mean he's gonna be the only reason the guy would be successful. I would bet money that Brees isn't the only guy that would do stuff like this.

I've always liked Drew Brees. Good QB, and a good guy too. Glad he won a Super Bowl.

Bree's isn't the only guy who does this, in baseball I know A-Rod has been (or was) working with Valencia in the off-season, Valencia told us this at a fan fest thing I went to, at first it got boo's but his justification was that he felt what better why to become one of the best 3B men in the league than to work with "the best 3B man in the league", the crowd had no problem with that especially after the next fan suggested that at the end of their final work out together before training camp Valencia should just happen to accidentally smash A-Rods ankle with the bat:lmao:

And Bree's is prolly my second favorite QB in the NFL right now, right behind Rodgers

According to ESPN, Sidney Rice is going to test the free agent market before/instead of resigning with Minnesota.

I'm torn by this, I know how good Rice can be, but at the same time he's had one healthy season out of 4 in his career so far. I'm leery giving him a big contract and then continue to be injury plagued during that contract. I'm thinking Minny puts the transition tag on him so they have the opportunity to match whatever contract he gets, and at the very least get some picks out of it.

Test what free agency market?, unless the CBA gets worked out real quick their isn't going to be much of a free agency market this year, assuming we have one at all. I think this is a bad decision on Rice's part, I would try and get a decent sized short term deal out of Minny, like 1-2 yr. deal, and then work toward getting a bigger deal sometime down the road, Rice is still young and has plenty of good seasons ahead of them, if he has another good season or 2 with the Vikes he'll be worth more on the FA market down the road, like say when there is a full off season for him to test it

Rice is going to regret letting Rosenhaus talk him into this. Hell Minnesota offered him a long term deal already, and depending on the new CBA, he might be an RFA anyway.

I still think we should have franchised him and gave Greenway the long term deal. Greenway has been healthy (minus his first season) and has developed into one of, if not the best 4-3 OLB in football. Plus Greenway has expressed interest in never leaving Minnesota and I think it would have been easier it hook him up. Though I have faith our front office will get everything done when we are capable of doing so.

Sticking with the NFC North, I just saw the Bears cut Tommie Harris. Dude use to be one of the top DT in football and it seems injuries have really damaged his play. That said I'd still take the risk and sign him.

Redskins cut Clinton Portis. Definitely saw that move coming, with him having the injury problems and due to make 8 mill. this upcoming season. He'll be 30 by the time the season starts (if there is one to be played), I see a team picking him up for some depth. Possibly the 49ers.

The Wizards bought out Mike Bibby and the Heat are going to sign him. Great move by Miami as point guard is their biggest position of need.

Yeah Arroyo sucks, Bibby would be a real nice pick up, his shooting went to shit, but when it's on he is a 3pt threat, still a pretty solid defender though. Heat are also interested in Troy Murphy. It would take him right up until playoffs to get back in the swing of things since he hasn't played since early January.

NHL trade deadline passed today. Seems like the big deals were the Kings getting Penner, and my Devils practically giving Arnott to the Caps for Dave Steckel and a 2nd round pick. I was really hoping the Devils would just stay put and see what happens. At least we freed up some cap space and got a 2nd round pick out of it.

by cracky!

he reminds me a bit of Zach Galifinakis, on that note Ill add that I feel bad for Zach Galifinakis he was a really funny comedian but now I feel like hes locked into the same character his whole career

I'm liking the Sabres getting Boyes, dude has 4 pts in 3 games. They still needed to make some more moves than just him to go deep into the playoffs, If they do make it in, I think we'll be bounced out first round.

Kevin Love is a rebounding machine dude just recorded his 4th 20/20 game out of 5 games. That's like 11 for the season, he also had a 20 rebound game but only scored like 12 points in that one. Only one game away from tying Moses Malone's record of 51 straight double/doubles. Of course if he was on a better team he probably wouldn't be as much of a force, but would still be putting up the double/doubles.

Amen, CH. I didn't watch all of the game, but the parts I did watch pissed me off beyond belief. Why? The refs. It was like a 5 on 8 game out there.

With the limited amount of games they've had together, there was no way they could just get together and play perfectly.

However, I would be worried that nobody can make a clutch play late for them.
