The "Sam's Failed Threads" Collection, Vol. 1

Uncle Sam

Rear Naked Bloke
Well, Shockmaster's, sorry, Conspicuous Asparagus' Annual WrestleZone Tournament has returned for a second outing, and things are going to bigger and better than before. With this in mind, it would seem that I'm also going to have to fight my corner harder than ever. Well, harder than I did in the tag team tournament, considering I was completely oblivious to the original singles tournament. The only way to do this without pitching a tent in the main thread and scaring everyone else off is to create the Kurt Angle WrestleZone Tournament Campaign. And this thread is campaign headquarters. If it can be paralleled with anything it'd be the Santino Fan-a-Club thread, only this is contained entirely within the realms of the tournament. With that out of the way, I'll explain...

Why should I vote for Kurt Angle?
The real question is: why shouldn't you? You'll come up with very few reasons, if any at all. Kurt Angle is, simply put, one of the best, if not the best professional - and amateur - wrestlers ever to enter the squared - or hexagonal - circle. He's incredibly popular with all fans and is effective as either a heel or a face, not to mention he's one of the most extensively decorated wrestlers ever, having won numerous world, tag team and midcard championships worldwide - from WWE to TNA to IWGP. Totalling 18 incredible title reigns, 10 of which are world titles, as well as numerous awards such as King of the Mountain 2007 winner and 10 PWI awards, including wrestler of the year, most inspirational wrestler of the year, feud of the year and match of the year. After doing everything he could in WWE, he moved onto a new promotion; TNA, where he currently dominates as a two-time world champion, giving the company its largest audiences ever. You'd have to be a fool not to vote for him.

You just want to be Jake, Cola. The only ones that measure up to Angle are the Hogans, the Rocks, the Austins and Michaelses. In other words, the truly exceptional main eventers, of which there are but a small handful. And of which, Angle is one of them.

A video detailing the recent exploits of the wrestling machine, Kurt Angle:

Kurt Angle is my personal choice at this moment. Kurt Angle is not only the wrestler of the year for 2007, but he is my pick for wrestler of this decade, barring major injury, and quite possibly, the greatest wrestler of all time. Kurt Angle is a Wrestling God.

Oh, it's true, it's damn true.

I'd also like to point out, although it's hardly been kept a secret, that Kurt is the number three seed overall, only trailing the man he inexplicably lost to last edition, Bret Hart, and the winner last edition, Shawn Michaels. He's also the number one TNA seed.

Like I said in the main thread, HBK better watch out, because Kurt is coming to break his 100% record and his freakin' ankle!

Sorry, it just sounds so cool.

Oh please, give me a break, if it weren't for Triple H Angle would be nothing, It was trips that put Angle over and got him in the main event, with a little help from the Rock, but without the Triple H/Angle feud in 2000 Angle would just be another jobber in WWE, and would have never got the exposure needed to be successful Triple H>Kurt Angle and that's the Damn truth!!!!

LAWLZ, this is hysterical. Kurt Angle = the Truth, and I am not talking about Ron Killings. Kurt Angle is the greatest thing to step inside the squared circle or that six sided ring. It's tue, it's true, its damn true.

Everybody had to be put over at some point. If Triple H hadn't done it, somebody else would have. Hell, Kurt's so good he could have probably put himself over.

Tournament Update: It's official. Kurt Angle's first competitor, not directly, in the TNA Region is none other than Stone Cold Steve Austin. This is very stiff competition indeed, and Angle will probably have to face Austin eventually. If there's anyone he'll prove himself undisputedly against, it's Stone Cold.

I'm in this til the end, if Angle's going down, I'm going down with him.

He's my second favorite wrestler right now, but Christian Cage doesn't stand a chance in this.

Did you know? Kurt Angle debuted and won his first world title - the WWF World Heavyweight Championship - as well as the "Eurocontinental" Title and the King of the Ring in the same year - 2000.

Did You Know? That in his first year Kurt Angle was squashed by the Big Show in a minute and a half, this happened only one month after losing two titles in one match at WM 16

No I didn't. Thanks for the info. He also won the PWI awards for Rookie of the Year, Feud of the Year and Most Hated Wrestler of the Year that very year.

Truer words have never been spoken

I train in two different martial arts and wrestled in high school so I couldnt even jokingly say that HHH is better than kurt angle. I have infinite respect for anyone of that athletic caliber. HHH is a cocky bodybuilder, hes everything i hate to see in the gym. A guy who benches 375 but cant run 3 miles.

Angle is a drug addict, nuff said

Triple H's size and tone changed greatly after drug use was brought to the front of wrestling topics.

Has anything ever been released saying Trips has failed a drug test or anything like that yet, no, therefore you have no proof that Trips has ever taken anything, at this point all you have is speculation, it is a well known fact that Trips works out like a machine, and is a fitness freak

Ya, but trusting the WWE Steroid program in the 90's probably isn't the best thing to do. A guy in 1997 weighing it at close to 240-245 then miraculously comes back from injury in late 98 early 99 pushing 270 is an eye opener. And then he comes back this year at summerslam looking about 20-30 pounds slimmer. It's speculation of course, but who cares.

And honestly, who gives a shit what people are doing in their personal life. If they die, that's on them, as cruel as it sounds. In ring performance is what I care about, and Kurt Angle is above everyone else.

Except AJ Styles, Christian Cage, HBK, Taker, and when he was wrestling The Rock
