The Pointless Thread

Yup. Last year was a rarity that it actually worked out. But still would have been better too see those 4 go at it.

And the BCS is all about the money, why don't they understand that a playoff WOULD DRAW MORE MONEY!

Fucks sake, now the Cotton Bowl is going to be added and it's bullshit.

yes. the almighty Uconn who lost their bowl game to WAKE FUCKING FOREST.

while O state won theirs. And just choose to bypass a Dixon-less Oregon utterly destroying USF

The Big East is far more stacked and competitive.

WVU could take USC.

Pitt is going to be godly this year. Therefore Pitt > Zona St.

Louisville > Cal.

South Florida > Oregon.

Rutgers > UCLA

UConn, Cincy and Cuse > Pac 10 Bottom Dwellers.

Need I go on?

wes....why would you provoke this....ok.....

Those numbers mean nothing Norcal when the Big East only recently became competent. That's like saying Cedric Benson is a better running back then Adrian Peterson because he has more yards in his career.

Those are all decent stats Norcal, but I'm looking into next year and what just happened this past season. The Big East is becoming a powerhouse right before our eyes. Next season it will be wickedly good, right behind the SEC.

All of the teams will continue to improve although Rutgers will drop a bit, UConn maybe but if you also look at the Pac 10.

Oregon and Arizona St will also drop a bit.

SEC > Big East > Pac 10

Plus, last season in the Big East, what more could you ask for? Every game was a battle for your BCS lives.

Big East > Pac 10.

The Big East is far more stacked and competitive.

WVU could take USC.

:lmao: You mean the almighty Pat White and Steve Slayton could take on whatever 5-star recruits the Trojans have? You make me laugh, Wes. Really.

Pitt is going to be godly this year. Therefore Pitt > Zona St.

I doubt that.

Louisville > Cal.

:lmao: You seriously believe a Brian Brohm-less Louisville is better then Cal? Another joke.

South Florida > Oregon.

This year: Yes. Last Year: no.

Rutgers > UCLA

Both are mediocre. I won't argue that.

UConn, Cincy and Cuse > Pac 10 Bottom Dwellers.

Need I go on?

Like I said, they're all mediocre. That's like saying Tommy Dreamer is better then Balls Mahoney.

The Big East is far more stacked and competitive.

their bowl record from last season against far inferior talent certainley proves that

WVU could take USC.

A brian like statement Wes. I am immensely dissappointed right now.

Never. In a million fucking years. Lets break this down....

Fast defense = domination of WVUs offense. Ask USF and Pitt.

USC's D > both of those defenses best players combined. AND faster. AT LEAST 4 guys off that D become NFL players in the first 3 rounds of the draft saturday.

Pitt is going to be godly this year. Therefore Pitt > Zona St.

Brian?? Is that you?? Wes...generally when u agree with Brian its a bad thing. especially since Zona St will probably be a top ten team this year.

Louisville > Cal.

do you even WATCH college football??? lets see here

Cal = ranked in the top 5 of the nation for a month, topping off at number 2. Won their bowl game

Louisville = one of the worst teams in the nation last year, looked as if they had absolutely no comprehension on how to play defense at times. One of the worst teams of the nation, and THE biggest dissappointment of the year.

South Florida > Oregon.

:lmao: this is the best one

you do know Oregon beat South Florida by 34 points in a bowl game with their best player and the centerpeice of their offense watching from the sideline no???

Rutgers > UCLA

You are aware that rutgers 2006 season was so magical because they are one of the absolute worst programs in college football history right?? UCLA has loads of talent, just had a lame ass coach. And Rutgers would pull up at number two in the most dissappointing teams in the nation last year.

UConn, Cincy and Cuse > Pac 10 Bottom Dwellers.

Cincy and Cuse are two of the most historically bad football programs in college football history. dont belive me?? look it up.

Washington and Stanford both have great legacies on the other hand. And Washington is a fine up and coming program.

Need I go on?

please dont. I almost feel bad for what I just had to do.

I'd rep you again. But I have to spread it around. More detail then what I brought. And it's all true.

You mean the almighty Pat White and Steve Slayton could take on whatever 5-star recruits the Trojans have? You make me laugh, Wes. Really.

Of course. WVU has been dominate for a few years now. If they went one on one with USC. They could give them a game. Did I say they could beat them? No. Read the fucking post.

I doubt that.

:lmao:

Yeah, returning almost every offensive and defensive starter and one of the best rushers in the nation, with all but one on the O Line back, plus add a top 20 recruiting class and the best in the Big East is doubtful

Zona St was overrated as fuck, they played a schedule full of cupcakes to get that undefeated streak.

You seriously believe a Brian Brohm-less Louisville is better then Cal? Another joke.

:lmao:

The have fucking Hunter Cantwell who will be a pro prospect probably more so than Brohm.

This year: Yes. Last Year: no.

The whole point of the previous goddamn post was the outlook of next season.

Both are mediocre. I won't argue that.

Agreed, UCLA totally flopped, that one's a toss up and was just used to piss Norcal off, and it worked :lmao:

Like I said, they're all mediocre. That's like saying Tommy Dreamer is better then Balls Mahoney.

Like I said, the Big East is far more stacked and competitive. Therefore making it better.

Also, for FUCKS SAKE GODDAMN WZ, LOSE THE FUCKING 4 IMG RULE!!!!!!!!

Syracuses football team has blown for the past several years, but during the days in which McNabb, Harrison and Freeny romed the field, they weren't notorious for being horrible, that has been a trend for the past 5 seasons or so.

Norcal, your completely basing everything in your post off last year, which isn't my argument. Last year the Pac 10 was better, not by much. This upcoming year, no.

Oh, by the way Norcal. I don't watch bowl games outside of the BCS and NYD bowls. They are completely mediocre and pointless, if Oregon beat them then ROFLMAO.

WVU is going to be mad good this year, I mean all you need is White and Devine and you are dangerous. As long as Stewart doesn't change there style, there defense will be better because they are returning basically every player, there offense will be just as good, they are only losing Slayton, they will be contending for a National Title again this year.

I am sick of this USC shit, they are the favorite to win every year and the last couple years they have dissappointed. Until Sanchez proves that he is good enough, I wont believe in them.

please dont. I almost feel bad for what I just had to do.

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Yeah, you got more off point than DIAR, I couldn't even reply to the full post. Norcal, we aren't talking about past history and JUST last year.

What I was merely stating is that, based on last year, up until now. The Big East is better, more competitive, more stacked and will probably be the nations #2 conference going into the preseason, and ending it.

Ok Wes, so we can assume one conference is better than another based upon games that havent happened yet :lmao:

as of right now. Pac 10 > Big East. to say anything else is utterly outlandish. let the results go down differently next year, and then you can say the big east is better. but as of right now, they arent.

And Bowl games are pretty much the definitive argument makers when arguing conferences. and the only Big East Vs Pac 10 match up saw Oregon go over USF 56-21. Without Dennis Dixon, whom the entire offense went through

so by off point you mean statistical, numerical, and historical facts??

I guess im just stupid off point then

Pac 10 just owned the big east in every single way one conference could possibly be superior to another. Thats all.

But yes, the big east is just magically better now, based upon nothing LOL.

Stats, history, wins, domination in one on one competiton, domination in the feilds that every person on earth uses to classify one thing as better than another > just because wes says so

Ok Wes, so we can assume one conference is better than another based upon games that havent happened yet

:lmao:

No. We can assume one conference is better than the other based on what happened the previous season, the talent returning, and the competitiveness and power of the conference as a whole.

as of right now. Pac 10 > Big East.

:lmao:

Half of it's teams will be on the decline coming into 08. While the Big East will just get stronger with Pitt being a BCS probable team.

to say anything else is utterly outlandish. let the results go down differently next year, and then you can say the big east is better. but as of right now, they arent.

Coming into 08, yes they are. Anything else said is utterly stupid.

And Bowl games are pretty much the definitive argument makers when arguing conferences. and the only Big East Vs Pac 10 match up saw Oregon go over USF 56-21. Without Dennis Dixon, whom the entire offense went through

Yeah, means nothing now that the Bulls are ascending more than any team in the Big East outside of Pittsburgh, who they arguably will be better than.

Where is Oregon going? Enlighten me. Oh thats right, they'll have to go to big games on the road, quiet a bit next season while losing 2 key weapons on Offense.
