The Sonics can move to OKC starting next season if they are able to get out the final 2 years of their lease at Key arena in Seattle. Now if they move to OKC they will leave the Sonic name and all accomplishments the Sonics had in Seattle so if they ever get an expansion team they will be the new Seattle Sonics like what the NFL did with the Browns.

Now if they do get held to their lease the city of Seattle can still find a way to get a new Arena and if they do, Sonics must stay in Seattle then and thats only if the sonics get held to the final 2 years left in their lease.

So next season we might see the Oklahoma City Twisters
