Wrestler of the week is Marty Jannetty? Damn, we're scraping the bottom of the barrel now. Who next, The Bastion Booger? Mantaur? John Cena?

The hell?! Marty Jannetty was awesome. He just got the short end of the stick, because when teams break up normally one makes it & the other doesn't.

Edge has seen more success than Christian (minus his TNA rebirth)
Jeff Hardy has seen more success than Matt Hardy (minus his real life situation that brought him back into the light)
JBL has seen more success than Faarooq (not counting the fact that Ron Simmons is actually a legend)

I have to disagree. I think Christian is a great wrestler, and has had just as much success as Edge. Multi-time world champ, amazing charisma, one of the top guys in his company, and even a man who at one point appeared to be the saviour of TNA, much as Edge was the Saviour of SmackDown.

Again, Matt has seen as much exposure as Jeff, if not more. Jeff took 3 years off to be beaten around a TNA ring. He never won one title belt, in 3 years. He was nothing more than a spot monkey and a punching bag rolled into one. Whereas Matt was enjoying success in WWE, winning the crusierweight title, having some kick ass matches with Kane and then, yes, the Edge/Lita/Matt triangle, which included a geat cage match at Unforgiven '05.

I will admit, however, that you have me beat with Ron Simmons.

Well, you have to take into concept on the differences between T.N.A. to the W.W.E.

Christian was barely winning mid-card matches in the W.W.E., especially upon his exit. Whereas Edge was at one time the Main guy on Raw, as well as Smackdown. And to me, when you're the main guy, as a W.W.E. Champion over especially John Cena (whom he's defeated twice to win the Championship from) that means you're a powerful person in the company.

Christian was the savior in T.N.A. because they didn't have anyone bigger. Which isn't bad or good. Christian IS an amazing talent, & full of charisma, I can almost guarantee W.W.E. regrets losing him.. but it doesn't remove the fact that Edge has seem better overall success.

As much as it pains me to think Jeff Hardy is anything special, once again the only reason Matt Hardy even still has a job with the W.W.E. is because of a real life situation. Matt Hardy was released originally, because they didn't see him as a money making, or profit capping talent.

Jeff Hardy was picked up by T.N.A. because they wanted him to be the face of the X-Division, along with Daniels & A.J.. & he had an incredible run with matches against Styles, but got lost in the spot monkey routine when feuding with Abyss. (which was a good feud, but incredibly lop sided)

Overall again, I look at the W.W.E. portion of things. Matt hasn't EVER had the ability to become a World Champion. Jeff has. He had the ladder match in 02 with Taker, which he "almost" won. And he's gaining a shot at the Rumble. The closest Matt's come, is what..?

I will admit, however, that you have me beat with Ron Simmons.

Ron Simmons had tremendous success as the first ever african american World Champion.. but as we discussed off WZ, its always gonna be mirrored by questioning if it was a simple ploy so the company wouldn't be seen as "racist." And I hate that something so stupid would shadow that.

To me, I loved the Nation of Domination, & that was a far greater group than the Cabinet J.B.L. had. However, those two things aside.. J.B.L. simply has had more overall success in the company, I'd say, when being compared to Faarooq.

Thats good, teams like the patriots don't get cheap and only get good for a short period, just means the steelers like building via the draft and young talent. Works great if they are good judges of it, and this year they are though team to beat. Sleeper to take anyone out.

the Steelers have always built via the draft. they have been doing it ever since FA came into play. the Steelers nation knows that, they are lucky to pick up a decent free agent, let alone a very good one. The Steelers have always been able to draft, not great but they always seem to fulfill their needs. I will use the last few years as instance, they draft Polamalu in 2003, which was a surprise because they rarely ever trade up, actually i think it was their first time in years. 04, the draft Ben Roethlisberger. Those picks have panned out and they have helped fulfill needs on both sides of the ball. 05 they draft Miller, he solidifies needs on the line, and he has exceptional hands. 06 they draft a deep threat in Holmes, he is starting to come into a zone.

They draft needs, and they never go the extra yds, they have the tendency of finding solid players from smaller schools, and they have been able to do that since the 70's. The annoying part is knowing they wont go out and spend in FA, and if they do, the World must be coming to an end...

Exactly! And since spam isn't logical, it's a gurantee in the Pointless thread.

How can you guarantee something pointless though?

And me no vote for Will. Hah! :D
