I've been watching this Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex lately. It seems decent. I haven't been into anime in many years, my knowledge extends to Akira, GITS, and Ninja Scroll, and that's about it. Watched Cowboy Bebop a good bit years ago as well. Shit, is Dragonball Z considered anime?

It is. I think it was the longest running one. Naruto the manga is actually okay. Bleach is a lot better.

Hell yes you need to see Akira. That's the first anime film I saw when I was like 11 or 12, and it's still my favorite. Such an epically AWESOME movie, I won't pretend to be an anime expert, but Akira is generally seen as like the Bible of anime. Definitely track that one down man.

Ninja Scroll is very good as well.

It's basically about a guy that can see spirits. Some spirits are evil(formed by tortured souls) and become hollows, which eat human souls and kind souls. He runs into a 'death god', which is a soul that hunts down hollows. Shit goes down and he takes her place as a 'death god'. It's good stuff. I recommend the manga and can show you a site that has the whole thing for free.

I just finished the first issue, and I REALLY dug it. I felt like such an idiot after reading the first few pages from left-to-right, not understanding what the FUCK was going on, and then remember that the Japanese read from right-to-left.

I really like it, I'm going to have to read some more of them. I've set the DVR up to record the two episodes that will air this Saturday night (they say they're new episodes). I think I'm kind of starting to get into anime, any other suggestions? You know my style.

Umm, if you can get your hands on it(I assume you have netflix) get yourself some Yu Yu Hakusho.

My two best suggestions are Outlaw Star(one season, twenty six episodes, and possibly my favorite anime ever) and Big O(think anime plus giant robots plus james bond plus NOIR styling).

If you like Bleach after reading the first few chapters, you'll probably grow to love it. I hated the first few chapters, but it gets pretty good later. Mostly for the fact of how overpowered the main hero's are, which makes it kinda funny since it makes the villains look silly. Poor Espada.

I've indifferent to DBZ. Hakusho is a show that you have to get used to, I'll admit to that. I watched the whole series, and I loved it.

Tenchi Muyo and Samurai X(that's the one with Reuna Kenshin, right?) are other ones to watch out for

I'm fuckin bitter how he killed Ulquiorra. I was expecting Ulquiorra to rape Ichigo, and blitz him. Then let him live or something, but nooo. Ichigo gets some random power up and rapes him. Hated it. Then they fuckin break my heart when he reaches his hand out to Orihime.

Well until said otherwise, I don't think any of the 9-0 espada's are actually Vasto Lorde's. It would explain why they get their asses handed to them, but even if they aren't Vasto Lorde's, I would still think being the final 3 espada they would have a better showing. I think Wonderweiss is the only Vasto Lorde shown to date, even though they haven't confirmed if he is. They're suppose to be appear almost completely human, and well Wonderweiss barely has a mask, and is apparently damn strong.

I consider most main characters better then Naruto. I just don't find Ichigo likable. I can't get behind reckless characters who throw everything on the line just to protect something. It's too overdone. Better then Naruto though when he does it.

Exactly. Even though it was short, he had the best character to date in Bleach with so much potential. Through out reading you see subtle hints that he might care for Orihime, and that she might care back, but your never sure. Then it all culminates to that scene where she cries for him, even after all the shit he's done, and beating the shit out of Ichigo, she shed tears for him, meaning I assume she had feelings for him. Which he had also which is shown when he reaches out his hand to her. There was so much potential there, what a twist and great character building they had, and could have kept having with Ulquiorra/Orihime, but they just blow it away and kill him off.
