The NXT Thread Is Like Ring of Honor's Bay-Bay!

It’s a big week here on NXT as we have a non-title match between NXT Champion Finn Balor and Apollo Crews, who had a shot at the title late last year which was interrupted with the match pretty much even. In addition to that we should be getting some updates on the ending to last week’s triple threat match which ended in a double submission. Let’s get to it.

It's Like Being A Proud Parent

The only people who should ever attempt Russian leg sweeps are long-legged females.

Thanks for the revelation, NXT.

Not sure if it was on purpose, but that was a near flawless old signature bret hart spot, the leg sweep float over into the cover.

Good job by Garrett. Asuka remains highly underwhelming. Im sure someone is set to run in here and scream about HOW SHE IS THE GREATEST FEMALE TALENT NORTH AMERICA HAS EVER BEEN GRACED WITH

well, ok, if you say so.

I have to say, Asuka vs. Emma was possibly my favourite match from Takeover London. That and her kicking the dogfuck out of everyone in the battle royal a few weeks ago totally sold her to me.

Consider me thoroughly whelmed by Asuka.

Still wanting NXT to refer to her by the nickname "Empress of Tomorrow" like they put on her t-shirts.

They did refer to her as "The Empress" last night, so there is that

Real talk: Garrett was part of the classic Rob Terry-Orlando Jordan feud, and she was the woman with the lesbian crush on Madison Rayne.

If Sting and AJ can skip developmental, why not her?

Well all of you mean men got your wish, Bull Dempsey is gone from NXT.

PM Stormtrooper for parade details, as he will be heading that up.

Joining him in leaving are Sylvester Lefort and Marcus Louis.

I always enjoyed Lefort, and I was intruiged by the way they were using Louis. Oh well.

I'll miss the French Riviera money man.

I also had a soft spot for Bull, who had many soft spots.

The other guy pulled some weird faces. Wrestling always needs those.

Viva la Legionnaires.

The timing with LeFort is a bit odd since he had been doing some sort of gimmick at house shows with Billie Kay. Although, managing a female talent isn't too high up on the WWE totom pole unless your are a woman yourself. Looking at you, Tamina

One one hand it makes sense given the level of talent that has come through/set to debut. On the other, Lefort and Bull could have been useful. Bull became more than just a fat guy brawler & was entertaining. Lefort was solid and a good heel with a different look to stand out from the crowd.

The others I could care less. Out of all released I am sure the above two will be back eventually & wont have trouble finding work in the meantime. Both are sure as hell better than Mojo, so how he escaped the cut is beyond me.

Remember when Mojo came out with the Stars and Stripes and was all, "What's this hype 'bout Russia!?" before Rusev beat the absolute piss out of him? Oh, how I laughed.

I'll forever be a fan of Marcus Louis after he did his "Golden Shower" promo he performed during promo class that managed to get out on the internet... managed to keep up with (possibly best) Enzo & Cass. Out of the three, I think he'll do the best.

I thought Bull made an effective face jobber, seeing him go is a disappointing. How in the holy fuck A-Ry & fucking Mojo didn't get the axe I will never fucking understand.

Why would I head the parade for Bull being cut? I don't recall ever having a strong opinion either way on him.

All 3 did their time and didn't get far enough to merit sticking around. Good bye and good luck.

Umm... you did go off on this little rant about him like a year ago...

He had the most disgusting botch in the history of the universe at Rival.

He couldn't take a damn clothesline over the ropes. Corbin clotheslined him and both were supposed to go over. Corbin went over, Dempsey failed, and 2 seconds later (after Corbin was on the floor) dempsey just took a pointless bump over the ropes to the floor. It looked like shit, and the NXT crowd shit all over him.

It literally made me want to never see that piece of shit ever again.

Mojo will stick around because of the energy he and Ryder bring. They will never be a top level tag team, but they are useful warm bodies on both rosters. They may even get a thank you tag reign or two on the main roster.

A bit gutted to see Bull cut. Like Justin said, he made an effective face jobber. His little run of segments where he was always eating and disgusting Regal were funny.
