The NXT Thread Is Like Ring of Honor's Bay-Bay!

I am on the other end of the commentary thing. I think they can enhance the show by one thousand. Then again, I grew up on Ventura/Monsoon and Heenan/Monsoon

I agree with this 100%, but the problem is that we've gotten a ton of Heenan/Ventura wannabes over the years and outside of a prime Jerry Lawler, they've all sucked. Even Heenan in WCW sucked. Prime Heenan and Ventura were very rare commodities that I'm afraid just don't exist anymore. I can't even think of a "closest we can get to him is..." scenario.

Our best bet is getting guys who just simply don't make the show worse. I know that sounds pathetic, lol, but I really feel it's true.

Still not seeing any of it from metsfan

So all these places are exactly like WWE in every single way? They get some stuff right and other stuff wrong? Wow, never would have thunk that.

Well you hardly ever seem to think ROH or NJPW do anything wrong. You fucking equated Jay Briscoe winning the title to the Streak ending. As if it were a shock that ROH quickly took the title off Elgin after his absolute failure of a reign and the way he was being booked in places like PWG. You only criticize WWE and TNA because it's cool to do that. You admit they do things wrong? Below me you literally just showed how much of an NJPW apologist you are.

And also the booking on Wrestle Kingdom is far from "stupid", what's stupid about putting your two biggest draws who have mainstream appeal, larger than that of John Cena in the US, in your main event in-front of a stadium of 40,000+ people when you know they'll have a great match

You're right. It's not like they've done that feud several times already, including at the same event 2 years ago. Gosh i hope Orton and Cena feud again.

If that's stupid, I'd like you to tell me what's smart. And no, AJ Styles main eventing it wouldn't have been smart.

I would've watched Styles v Okada again. Good job not referencing my other criticisms. Also here's another - Gallows and Anderson are sure making good of those tag belts defending them all the time right?

Well... it is.

No it isn't.

Until about two months ago had I mentioned how good Kevin Steen is, the majority of you would shit on it.

People knew how good Steen was. Knowing you, it was probably more the case of you heavily promoting him as the next big thing and the guy bringing back the territories or some shit because he made the Mount Rushmore of wrestling.

There is a great thread somewhere about how Bryan was going to fail in the WWE from around the time he started. Yet everyone loved him from the minute he debuted and there were very few and rare apologies

Dear God you expect an apology from wrestling fans? The ficklest people on the planet? Fuck off. You're just as fickle as the rest of us. Should i list off everytime you were wrong?

Out of the 18 guys who appeared on NXT Takeover, 10 had previously had success outside WWE, most of whom came from the American independent circuit.

Yeah all indy guys are great. Hows that Chris Hero guy doing? Or Willie Mack? I could say the same for the main roster and former football players. It's irrelevant unless you have the dedication and work rate.

I will shove it down all your throats until you choke on it. Why? Because then maybe some of you will start getting the picture that WWE isn't the be all end all of wrestling.

Who thinks that? There are people that only have time for WWE yes but they don't think its' the best by any stretch.

It's what makes this forum so fun for me sometimes. I keep telling you all these things before they ever happen.

When people argue with you it's not because they love WWE, its your own damn fault for being a stubborn, elitist, know-it-all asshole. Not because of the WWE fanboys and the "keyboard warriors," but because of you.

Here's something else you need to know, it's guys like you that give wrestling fans a bad name. Not the so-called neckbeard who needs a shower but cheers his enlarged heart out in the front row for guys like Cena or Miz. But the kind of guy who thinks because he wakes up at 5am to watch a PPV several times a year, that gives him the right to screw up his nose at other fans that don't. The kind of guy who desperately tries to act like he knows what they think and want because he watches shoot interviews thinking he's part of some inner circle. The kind of guy who feels justified calling people morons and marks because they didn't know something he did.

Go to MLWRadio.com, listen to Talk n' Shop with AJ Styles. If you like Gallows, Anderson and others making fun of Lionheart and how he couldn't tuck his chin you'll get a blast out of it. Styles won't stop using it, Lionheart's neck is still broken because he took the move wrong, that really is the end of it.

Wow you are a cunt about this. What about Roderick Strong? What about Yoshitatsu? What about Kojima? What about Stevie Richards (Remember that)? They must all be rank amateurs. It must be fun to watch a bunch of wrestlers mock another for breaking his neck.

Now it just needs to be coupled with some vingettes of them destroying fools. And pump them up as the most dominant, longest reigning tag champs in NXT history

Give them a blood feud with the Uso's. Have them scare the shit out of Naomi or something. Those two teams pretty much are tag team wrestling or the closest thing to it.

While this is happening give the New Day (Or some face team) the tag titles and tease issues with Miz and Mizdow.

Feed them the New Day.

Man, Jim Ross could make a knitting contest seem monumental and historic.

It's a shame that Regal's exclusively in the general manager role now, I enjoyed him on commentary. Even his dad jokes were of better quality than than Lawler's and his ilk (e.g. the patter of Tiny Pete).

That and I LOVE the direction they are going. Very old school intense, very Road Warriors.

I was worried they were going to smooth them down, round them out and make them really bland; instead it looks like they've turned it up to 11. They're wearing shoulder pads and eye make-up! It's great.

WWE Euroshop charges £5 for postage, which is a bit rich since they use Amazon, but it is rather quick:

Was that Sami shirt at full price Sam?

Waiting for that Finn shirt to become available via Euroshop. Y'know, got to reinforce the celtic connection stereotype.

We’re past R-Evolution and it was one of the best shows of the year with some outstanding matches and a great ending. The main surprise was Kevin Owens turning on his best friend Sami Zayn after Zayn won the title. Owens ended the show by powerbombing the new champ on the apron and establishing himself as the next challenger for the belt. Let’s get to it.

This Is Falling Back To Earth For NXT

Next live special is gonna feature these imo

Zayn v Owens for the Nxt Championships
Cass v Enzo (Shouldnt be and i hope they wont be split but seems like their going to be)
Bull v Corbin
Nxt Tag team championship match
Charlotte(unless she's already on the main roster) v ??? for the Nxt Women's championship

Dont know whats next for Neville, there was talk he'd be bought up to the main roster with a new gimmick(which would be the worst thing possible and hopefully HHH cuts that out). Dont know what the tag title match will be, maybe Baylor & Itami are heading that way, a tag triple threat between them, dragons and Vaudevillians could be good. Might be Becky Lynch's turn to challenge Charlotte, or maybe Bayley finally takes it off her as Charlotte heads off to the main roster.

Owens will beat Neville clean before the next live special. Whether he then beats Zayn at the live special is another question. I certainly hope not.

I miss Sami.

Speaking of Graves on commentary...

After KO got a two count off that standing senton on Neville, there was a comment that really made me laugh. Graves said he couldn't believe Neville kicked out, because that was "300 and some pounds" that landed on top of him.

Really? I mean Jesus, how big does Graves think Kevin is?
