The NXT Thread Is Like Ring of Honor's Bay-Bay!

- WWE NXT Diva Becky Lynch debuted new ring gear and a new theme song at this weekend’s NXT live events. She has been getting more ring time lately and picking up some live event wins. One fan noted that it appears they are moving away from the typical Irish gimmick for Lynch.

Thank fucking god.

And NXT again shows why they're awesome. Something didn't work and it's gone almost instantly. If this was WWE, you can imagine the comedy bits her character would have had.

Does that mean she gets the Kofi treatment & is now pushed as Scottish because most people fail to know the difference?

Nah. I kid, I kid. NXT has a solid formula & has no problem making those adjustments. I wish the main roster team would take some notes because clearly NXT is leaps ahead in certain areas. They evaluate and adjust much faster than expected & that is a good sign for future talent coming in.

We have a new big bad coming out of last week as Tyson Kidd allowed his wife to be shoved off the apron in order to finally get a big win in NXT. Kidd thriving is another problem for NXT Champion Adrian Neville to deal with as he now has Kidd and Gabriel coming after him as well as #1 contender Tyler Breeze looming. Let’s get to it.

I'm glad that the next set of NXT tapings are only 3 weeks worth of shows instead of the regular 4. This is the second time in a row that the crowd has been completely drained for the final show. Last thing NXT wants is to drain their hot crowds.

Im just going to rename it the "Blue Balls Bomb" because despite great efforts, he never gets to finish with it.

Getting sort of stupid. Though the flatliner into the koji clutch is pretty damn cool

If Jason Jordan is given the right direction and gimmick, he could be a big deal.

Yeah - we talked about it earlier in thread, the blue thunder bomb thing.

What I've taken away from the show so far: The Vaudevillain's use of the titantron is great and Kalisto is absolutely fucking tiny.

Between NXT and the indies, I've seen him use that Blue Thunder Bomb spot as a near fall probably a hundred times, but it still gets me pretty much every time.

Tyson Kidd seems to have broken through some sort of barrier. For years, he's been considered absolutely solid in the ring - and he is - but has been utterly devoid of character. In just a month or so, he's grown a personality. It's not going to shatter anyone's mind but is a significant improvement and enough to make you go, "Yeah, this guy belongs on TV." Fact.

Sami Zayn, obviously, could have been on TV a year ago.

Renee Young and William Regal need to be on one of WWE's major broadcast teams yesterday.

Edit: While we're here:

Do you think Sami Zayn would agree to be my husband?

An interesting theory by the interviewer, alas, the mystery of El Generico's true identity remains unsolved.

I love Sami. He's like the anti-CM Punk.

Ascension made their biweekly jobber squash match more entertaining than usual this week.

Good lads.

As usual with NXT, there are a few matches already set for this week. Tonight we’re getting Summer Rae vs. Charlotte for the Women’s Title to likely blow off the BFFs once and for all as well as Kalisto finding a partner to help him fight off the Vaudevillains. That’s one of the things I like best about NXT: they don’t have to start from scratch every week and it saves them so much time. Let’s get to it.

Charlotte is actually pretty good, but I really don't like Summer Rae. Also, her forehead is massive. The match itself was weird because Charlotte seemed to be playing the face, with Summer dominating the entire thing. I dunno, it just didn't work for me.

The match was fine. I've seen people sit through worse and not start a Mexican wave.

Rusev's still great. A beast whose gimmick is based on Rocky IV - how can you not think that's great?
