We’re back to normal now after Takeover: Dallas but we’ll be seeing some the action from Wrestlemania Axxess where about four weeks of shows were taped. This is going to include some TV debuts and potentially the fallout from the big show, though there’s a good chance a lot of that will be included in backstage segments. Let’s get to it.

They've Still Got It

They've Still Got It
Tonight is why Shinsuke Nakamura is such an endearing and gifted professional wrestler. For every bit of passion, emotion and physicality we saw in the Zayn match, this match against Dillinger portrayed the "softer side" of Nakamura.
The playful taunts, the interactions with the crowd and the ref during the opening portion of the match, even the signature shaking foot choke in the corner, all served as prime examples of Nakamura's showmanship.
Even if you've never seen him wrestle, the King of Strong Style moniker suggests, very aptly, that his in-ring style is physical, crisp and made to look like it hurts like hell. But tonight's match against Dillinger, while still incorporating aspects of strong style, revealed Nakamura's ability to shine in a variety of match types, something that can't be said for alot of the top talent in today's wrestling world.

NXT's atmosphere felt really odd this week, likely because of it being post-Takeover but still-Dallas. That said, god, Nakamura. Nakamura, guys. I love this man.
"He's 11" chants got me. A solid show top to bottom, such a fresh roster, and Nakamura's playfulness made for a really different kind of fun main event. It's also nice to see Tye Dillinger just kind of exist. I enjoy his presence on my TV screen.
Also, special shoutouts to Bayley's post-match promo. It felt very emotional and real and I dug it a lot.

It was filled at Axcess so I imagine that was probably why?
Yeah, that's what I figured. It's not that I expect everything to be RAW, but it was weirdly quiet and the editing was super strange. Lots of cut-off themes and the curtain tron looked weird.
Yeah it wasn't one of their best produced shows, but the wrestling was solid. American Alpha is fantastic and Nakamura sure looks like a solid replacement for Sami.
I thought that Dillinger was a good choice for Nakamura's second match. Sami Zayn is not a gimmick heavy wrestler, Tye Dillinger is, and Nakamura is somewhere in the middle. Now obviously Nakamura/Dillinger wasn't nearly as good as the Zayn match, but it was still damn good and let Nakamura show off a little bit of what his gimmick is all about.

That's an interesting observation. They do both have that sort of "I don't know where I am right now, but we're gonna fight anyway" look to them.
