The Miz made us eat our words...

To the guy who compared Miz and MVP

I think the difference between Miz and MVP is that Miz is getting this bump at somewhat of a young age, he's still on 29 while MVP got his actual start at 32. So WWE i think still has a long time to develop Miz, especially with HHH and the others in their 40's so the inevitable change in roster with retirements will favor the Miz.

As for the original topic, yes I thought Miz when he originally got here had a real chance to be the WWE version of David Arquette but he has evolved incredibly well. Alot of credit should be given to John Morrison. I actually can't wait to see what's next for Miz, but I do agree that the Skull-crushing finale needs to be changed

I'll agree, I didnt think he'd make it when he started out, but he has definately improved 1000% and is a very credible talent right now. I really got behind him when he was teaming with Morrison, as I thought they had tremendous chemistry, and their Dirt Sheet segment was classic. I had my doubts when he went on his own, but he has proven time and time again, that he can get it done, and I dont think its unreasonable to believe that somewhere down the line, he'll be a main eventer, if not world champion.

When he debuted I did not think he would last months let alone years. After a weak run on smackdown, he was drafted to ECW where I thought after feuding with Balls Mahoney, he would fade into obscurity but no ,he got some ecw title shots and won the tag titles in a team that is tag team of 2008. Then the team broke up and Miz was drafted to Raw while Morrison was drafted to smackdown and I thought this was the beginning of the end for him. But again no he is the best heel on Raw right now and the person that said he is going to take the path of MVP, you are dead wrong. Raw is lacking main event heels at the momment only Orton who seems to be turning face and Sheamus can be compared to him. I can see him in the WWE title picture after he drops the us and tag titles.

Boy did I shit all over this guy when he first came in. I watched his season of the Real World and I laughed my ass off at him thinking "aww how cute, he wants to play wrestler". Now however, boy have I have eaten a big hot plate of crow. The guy has really become one of my favorites to watch on Mondays and is in the only 5 reasons I still watch RAW. I became more and more a fan as he got better but his promo a few months back where he tore into JBL and the rest of the locker room had me eating out of the palm of his hand. I'm very impressed with his skills both in and out of the ring. Hell the guy even has JBL hoping the best for him now.

Wanted to address two things that were said here. First, someone earlier had mentioned that it was a mistake to make him a double champion and it is done way too often. I think it is a HUGE compliment to Miz now that he holds two (wait, technically three?) championships. Back in the old days, someone was given a championship when a company had faith that the talent could draw money. I know that isn't necessarily the case today, but, and this brings me into my second point on the subject, having one person carry two belts is usually only reserved for those that the company has ABSOLUTE faith in. In contrary to what was said, it is not done all that often, and it is usually the main eventers who pull it off. The last double champion I can remember? John Cena as WWE Champion and World Tag team champion. Before that? I may be off here, but the last double champions I can remember are Triple H and Stone Cold during the two man power trip when they held all of the belts. Moving away from main eventers, who was the last mid-carder I can remember who had multiple championships at once? How about Kurt Angle. Granted, they were both mid card singles titles, but the premise is the same, and look how far his career skyrocketed after that time. As far as I can tell, in my opinion, the second championship for the Miz is a tribute to how far he truly has come and is well deserved.

The other main point I read earlier was something about him drawing bad heat. There is no such thing as bad heat. Actually, there is. It is called no heat at all. Lately, The Miz ALWAYS gets a reaction when he is out there, and it is usually strong. Hell, he gets a stronger heel reaction then Sheamus. Now that I think about it, Orton is starting to play the role of a tweener and Jericho is now exclusively on Smackdown, Miz may be the most effective heel on Raw at this moment.... And I can't believe I actually said that.

I don't think anyone would've predicted that the Miz from the past would become the superstar he is today. He was largely unsuccessful, with the fans loathing him for his reality show past, and now today he is a bona fide top tier heel on RAW. It's amazing how much the Miz has improved. Now he receives legit heat, from him being a good heel. A lot of heat, at that. It rivals the heat from any main eventer today.

I believe the Miz will become great. Maybe not quite a main eventer, but I think he'll remain an intricate part of the mid card. I wouldn't be surprised if sometime down the road the Miz became a main eventer.

He did make me eat my words. I used to think they were just using him as a comedy jobber like when he got eliminated by the Great Khali in 2007 Royal Rumble. None the less he has been impresive lately and has made me into a fan of him. His skull crushing finale doesn't convince me I don't know if he has changed it but it doesnt really look like a finisher to me. He is the future of wwe IMO.

I'm keeping this short and sweet... When The Miz came into the WWE, he was simply known as the Reality Show star that was there but nobody remembered. And when we came in, we hated for the simple fact that he was in the reality show realm. We all wanted him to go, and we all said he couldn't make it from actor to wrestler...

Here we are in 2010, and this double champion has made us ALL eat our words. He's become the man every IWC fan has grown to love and can't wait to see more from. He's the man of Raw right now, and in total control. If you ask me, he is the best in WWE right now when it comes to the younger generation followed only by John Morrison.

JR once said that the Dolph Ziggler stock would be the one to invest in because he rises so much, but I do believe he was wrong wrong wrong! The Miz is the man to invest in and he's the man that WWE should put hopes on to carry them for a while.

What's your opinion?

The Miz is CLASS, I really like him and he has made me eat my own words (I was one of his biggest critics to begin with). Mark my words, if WWE have any sense, Miz will be WWE or World Champion within a year. He is a great champion, a great heel and he's entertaining. I'm glad that they've put him with the Big Show for now and that he's tag team champion, but that won't last too long.

I like Morrison, but I will go so far as to say that the Miz is a league up from Morrison right now. He oozes class and potential.

Around 2006 when Smackdown arrived in an international tour from where I'm from one of the matches in the card was The Miz vs. Vito (the guy in a dress). Long story short Vito won. However I was slightly impressed by The Miz's in ring ability and his ability to draw heat. At the time I saw that he had potential.

The only gap at that point was that his background of being a reality TV star and it was still hard to sell him as a legitimate star. However he has proved his critics wrong in that department and really showed him as a promising rising star.

I wouldnt say he made us eat our words (hehe :P) since I already did see some potential in him back in 2006. But I am still amazed on the obstacles he overcame.

Meh miz didnt make me eat any of my words, i still think of him as i didnt when he first debuted, i just dont like the guy. i really really cant stand the sight of him. I loath the guy with the utmost of passions. Im sorry to all you mizfanatics but i just dont see anything special about him, granted i will give him credit where it is due, he is actually pretty decent on the mic. I do enjoy some of his promos but other than that i just cant stand him. i hope to god he dosent start main eventing anytime soon. Im not against him in the main event. To me, i just think he has some more work to do.

WOW, i am continually suprised by people who months ago were saying that they were sick of the same ME but now are saying that miz needs more time to improve and grow despite him being in the WWE for 7+ years.

anyway... I was not the biggest miz fan a while back but man has he grown on me. he truly is awesome. his promos are fantastic, his matches are very watchable and he draws more heat than sheamus or mcintyre ore any of the other "up and coming" heels. i see him as a future main eventer, and not too far into the future either. i can see "the miz v John morrison for the WWE title" not too far down the track.

He certainly made me eat my word and look forward to more miz in the future.

You cant honestly come in here and say... I knew he had it in him the whole way round! And why is everyone trying to get the miz to main event status.... He alreadys has like uhhhh..... 3 TITLES!! United states championship, World tag team championship and WWE Tag team championship. I really dont think he needs to be rushed anymore then he already is, Don't get me wrong, Since the miz has his new look, I aswell think he is the miz and he is AWESOME!!
