There's two things all barflies need to figure out: #1 is the concept that Norcal is one of the most extremely sarcastic people around here, and they need to figure out when he's not being serious and is just messing with you.

That last one if sometimes very hard to do. But that applies with many others too.

Because some people just have very silly interpretations of things and don't understand the line between 'serious' and 'joking'. Honestly one of the worst infractions ever given on this board, but I'm pretty sure Jake wouldn't have cared anyway.

In HBK-aholic's defense, she did feel insulted by that thread, even if it was in sarcasm.

Now, I don't personally think that it should have been deleted, but the Bar Room is moderated at the discretion of a moderator, and HBK-aholic felt that thread crossed the line. And, while I felt she was wrong (and told her so), the rules certainly say that she could. And since she felt that she had to close it for breaking the rules, she had no choice but to infract it, because it broke the rules.

Even if it was Jake. Hell, it's my belief that Jake did it so he COULD be infracted.

which is even worse, seeming as how this is in the bar room. he never said she wouldnt do anything about it. He said if was against the rules, as she claimed, then WHY DIDNT she do anything about it. SO she infracted him to try and save face, becuase she looked like an ass.

I thought that there was a motion to prevent any infractions being handed out to Jake and Jonny...and flaming infractions for xfear.

If there was, I would never abide by such motion. That'd be silly.

It depends on what you say, really. Personally, I have noticed you doing so, but that's not to say you haven't.

Example:

"You're not allowed to say *insert comment here* because it is against the rules and considered flaming*

^ That's bad.

"You can flame me all you want, but it doesn't change the fact that *insert comment here*"

^ That's acceptable.

It's never been like that. I have infraction to prove it.
