I honestly believe that if there's a Cena complaint thread that gets stamped to the top where people can rant and rave about what they hate about Cena, then there should definitely be a thread where the people who appreciate Cena can come and chat about what they like about Cena.

Like for example, in the past two years, John Cena has put over more superstars on WWE programming than ANYBODY has. Sheamus, Wade Barrett, The Miz, R-Truth, CM Punk, Alberto Del Rio, and Batista were ALL put over by John Cena and given great heel runs while doing it. Alberto Del Rio is in the process of continuously being put over, and is still a main event player. Sure, the people he feuds with may not win the feuds, but to say that he doesn't put people over is a bullshit lie. Winning feuds and put overs are NOT the same thing. If people would understand that, then maybe more people would grasp that Cena's actually the best all around guy in WWE.

Another thing, if Cena's such a terrible wrestler then why has WWE continuously stuck him with all of the all time greats? He's been put over by Austin, Bret, HBK, Triple H, and most recently The Rock. If he's such a terrible person, why did THE ROCK hand pick Cena to co-Main Event WM 28? Why did Stone Cold agree to having put over Cena and calling him Stone Cold 2.0? Why did Bret Hart agree to have the on-camera friendship with John Cena? I'll tell you why, because they all know that John Cena is a 100% proven workhorse and can draw crowds, sell t-shirts, and always be the guy who does what needs to be done for good business.

Not to mention, his acting skills are really amazing. Legendary, The Marine, 12 Rounds, and his Psych guest appearance was hysterical. He's always out in the mainstream promoting WWE and he's really doing a great job.

Now let's take a guy like CM Punk. Yes, he's over in the wrestling world and he's a great guy... but do you really think that CM Punk would hold well at the Kids Choice Awards? Or even on a sitcom show? Probably not. This is a quality that Cena, and right now The Miz, both have. That's why Cena's being used as a big time person... because he's the most marketable one of the entire roster.

Anyway, if you want to show appreciation for Cena, feel free to reply.

People who say Cena can't wrestle are people who don't understand wrestling, plain and simple. Everyone talks about the "5 moves of doom" and often forget Cena has been in plenty of great matches with a wide variety of opponents because he understands 1 important thing about wrestling. Wrestling is about storytelling not technical prowess. Cena is a GREAT storyteller in the ring and does a very good job almost every time he is put out there.

Lets see, he has had great matches with Edge, RVD, HHH, HBK, Khali, Rey Mysterio, CM Punk to name a few and is one of the few wrestlers that has literally had a great match with Khali, there aren't too many other wrestlers on the roster that are even capable of that.

Cena doesn't always have to be on top and has put over tons of wrestlers like you said earlier OP. He has been in quite a few intriguing storylines over the years and has held his own against anyone he was put up against, no matter how good or bad they were.

Lastly, Cena has drawing power, character and charisma, probably the 3 most important attributes to be a success in this business.

Wrestling isn't about great matches and amazing skill, its about telling a story and making the audience feel and care about what you are doing. Whether the audience loves or hates Cena they always feel him and he always gets a reaction, as long as you have that you are worth your weight in gold.

This is destined to just turn into a Cena debate just like the negative one, but I might as well extol Cena's endless virtues before it does.

This will sound corny, but Cena's values are ones I believe can be applied to any person's life, and I feel like fans can live vicariously through him in that way. If you never give up, work hard, and respect everyone, you'll get where you want to be. Cena does a great job conveying that message to his fans, and getting them to believe in everything he does. You can't just stick the hero character on anyone and expect it to work. Cena has a special type of charisma that, to me, makes him among the greatest stars in wrestling history.

He's also an excellent in ring performer, despite what his haters might think. Just look at the list of people he's put on really good, or even GREAT matches with. Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Rey Mysterio, Edge, Orton, Batista, RVD, CM Punk, Miz (Raw, not WM), hell, even his I Quit match with JBL was excellent. Every one of those matches had something special in it that differentiated it from any old main event, and showed a progression of his character from his initial rise to now. He knows how to sell when appropriate, how to tell a story, and how to inject an incredible amount of charisma into every bout.

His mic talents barely even needs to be stated. He talks on a personal level with his fans when he's out there, never being afraid to make corny jokes or say what's really on his mind. He's proven time and time again that he can hang with the best of them (Rock, Punk, etc.) on the stick, and he excels in high profile storylines. Overall, Cena is just everything you could possibly want from the face of your company, and unlike a lot of people here, I hope he stays on top for a long, long time.

I appreciate the effort, but this is just going to be another thread for Cena debates and we already have like 4 of those going right now. Just make your post in one of those.
