The FCW thread

Clay is awful. No two ways about it.

If you take Lucky Cannon, remove what skills he has in the ring and put him in tighty whities you've got Jacob Novak

I know shit all about O'Brian. As I haven't seen him wrestle.

Saxton is one charismatic motherfucker

Bateman's decent in the ring and good on the mic

Curtis is going to win. He's the best of a not great bunch. He's probably the best guy down in FCW too.

And there are a few guys I'd have called up in this batch. There are the obvious ones like Steamboat, Rollins and Woods (Consiquences Creed) but there's also Brad Maddox (take Cody Rhodes, make him ugly and turn up the crazy to 11) and Abe Washington among others who'd make better callups than Clay and Novak.

He's greener as a seasick hornswoggle on a cruiseship made entirely from grass which has been dipped in green paint just to emphasise how truely green it is.

According to a new report, the reason why WWE has chosen to keep its top developmental talent off the debuting fourth season of NXT is because it plans to run a fifth season and hopes to find a spot on U.S. TV to air the show. If that happens, you can expect to see the best of WWE's FCW talent called up for the season.

This makes sense and also gives us the reason as to why NXT 4's roster is so weak.

It would. It's Johnny Curtis, David Otunga 2.0, Lucky Cannon's untallented brother, G-Rilla and a bunch of guys I've forgotten. Guess who's winning this season.

And yes there are some new videos on youtube. I'll probably get them up tomorrow. It's too late in the day to trawl youtube for FCW episodes.

I genuinely think Johnny Curtis could be a huge (like cover-of-video-game huge) star in WWE. I was previously on the fence about him but he has everything.

On a side note, here is Seth Rollins' first promo. It's typical Tyler Black to be honest.

Poor Donny Marlow. He's been in FCW for so long and has never been called up. I bet he's just waiting for his contract to expire.

Remixie...tell me EVERYTHING you know about Wade Barrett/Lawrence Knight/Stu Sanders that we probably don't know about him already, stuff that would be in FCW that hasn't been common knowledge about him yet. Or where you get your info about him from...lol. A girl is DYING to know...hehe. :p

Curtis has been down there longer.
Oh I know but he's finally getting his chance with NXT. Marlow got left off the roster. Poor kid.

This is fucking WEIRD.

Thoghts on The South Beach Boyz Remixie?

Watson's all charisma and no tallent, and Young is all tallent and no charisma. I guess they balanced out somewhat, but I'm not a fan of either guy.

and as promised, the FCW episodes.

Haven't seen the 28/11 episode but Abraham Washington is pretty fucking good in the ring, I love that elbow drop he did.

Does Abe remind anyone else of another certain former WWE superstar who had a signature elbow drop? Just sayin...

Hypothetically here if Richie Steamboat was in for an NXT season then who would you want to be his pro?

It doesn't really matter. Paring him with Smith or Morrison would make me jizz, obviously. But the best for him would be someone who could teach him how to cut promos and work the crowd in his matches. Barrett could teach him that as well as providing a decent storyline about him being mentored by the guy who sent his dad to hospital (mixing kayfabe with the truth)

In FCW, Curt Hawkins and Jackson Andrews teamed up as the basic start of the Gatecrashers gimmick. WWE called Curt Hawkins up but paired him with Vance Archer as he had more experience. Do you Andrews would've been more fitting for the Gatecrasher team?

I would've picked Chris Jericho if he were still around for the same reason you picked Barrett.

He was also injured I believe, which was also a key factor in why Archer was picked over him. Personally I'm not fond of Jackson as of now. He'll help Tyson (and by extension Smith) get over but I'm unsure of how good he is in the ring. I'll judge him once Smith gets him in the ring. If the match is OK he gets a pass. If he doesn't bump at all and/or the match is awful he doesn't.

He'd have been another awesome choice and better than Barrett for Steamboat (his wrestling style is closer, so he can help with that more) but alas he is busy with Fozzy.

I've really been liking the Washington/Saxton fued as of late. Both guys have been growing on me.

I don't think either are great in the ring, but sweet fuck they are charismatic. I'm very happy that Washington's off commentary for the most part too. He just wasn't very good on it.

What are your top three FCW matches?

Good question. At the moment I'll have to go with:

Justin Gabriel vs Kaval

Because it's just a damn good match.

Bryan Danielson vs Kaval

For the same reason as above. Just a great match, but not ad good as the former in my opinion.

DH Smith vs Drew McIntyre

Yeah, I was shocked at how good the match involving D-Mc was too. Plus, you know I'm a mark for Smith, which helps.
