The End of Taker's WM Streak

taker already won a wrestlemania by d.q. vs giant gonzales('93)(i think)

a guy on another thread said they could have taker lose at 'mania by having him in a 2 out of 3 falls match an he could win the first an third match. so he wins the match, but he would have actually been pinned or whatever at wrestlemania.

on a related note can anyone tell me if chickens have large talons?

Yeah so, that has nothing to do with this, I was saying he could LOSE by DQ

Umm...yeah, and your opnion on this would be....what?

IDK, nor do I know what this has to do with this thread, unless you are thinking a chicken should beat Taker at WM by using it's lethal taolns

YOUR JOKING RIGHT!

Ok you don't build a streak like that (16 wins) only to decimate at the end Vince wake the F up dude. Second if you do I think I already know your decision and it's not a staple, or up and comer its your buddy..yea that's right I said it. Personally I like Cena but anyone ending the streak would be gay. Also you had a great chance to end the streak and it should of been Edge...both going into Mania were undefeated (i know wm23 inncident aside)....Edge could of skyrocketed the heel barometer if this happened. In fact I remember the emotion going through the ENTIRE sports bar I was at when second spear connected. Honestly vince stop screwing up the few shreads of good enertainement you have left:undertaker2:

Dude, did you not read the report, it clearly says Vince is not in favor of ending the streak, but is open to ideas, and if he hears a good enough one then he'd consider it

to me i think it should be hbk because this will be his 2nd year that he had won and the loser got a great appaluse and i think if this does happen it will undertakers and hbks last match.and at the end they both shake hands.

I honestly don't care if the WWE decides to end Taker's streak, but there would be one scenario that I would take offense to. If it is HHH I would honestly be pissed. He has nothing to gain for beating Undertaker.

If HHH retains the title until Wrestlemania (Although I seriously think he may lose it at this upcoming PPV.) and the match Undertaker vs. HHH for the title is announced, I hope that this isn't true.

If anyone finally beats the Undertaker, it has to be an over, fresh, talented, and devoted HEEL superstar. Looking at the current Smackdown roster, there is really no one that could do it. I like Edge, but he has already lost to Taker at Wrestlemania, and he is also an established star. It could possibly be a returning Umaga (I remember at one point there being an article talking about an Undertaker/Umaga fued.) or if they really want to make a star out of Kozlov they could have him go over. (Although I wouldn't like this outcome because I haven't seen anything but squashes from Kozlov yet.) One outcome I would like would be to have Shelton Benjamin beat him. He has been bouncing back and forth between jobber and star, and I know that he has the talent to carry this through.

:headscratch: isnt that the point of winning straks? take umaga for instance unstoppable for ages until cena pinned him and go over.
Vince wake the F up dude.
If he wants to sleep let him its late out.

yeah you said it but you didnt say who it was...

Czena suxs he only knoz 5 movez.

Uou just said it right here...

Edge dont need it.

I actually, sadly, hope that Undertaker loses at Wrestlemania this year. I hope he loses in a clean pinfall to an up and coming superstar. One guy that comes to mind to me would be Ezekiel Jackson. The creative team likes his look and I think he could make a great singles competitor. I think a scenario with him turning on THE Brian Kendrick, beating him and start building a good winning streak then, have him say something about beating Undertaker at Wrestlemania and you have a classic Undertaker battle at Wrestlemania. The only difference this time would be Undertaker losing.

:flair:

No No it wasnt. him losing it will not hurt him at all. I am all for a young up and comer to win it. it will put the young guy over and it wont hurt the undertaker.

I personally don't want it to ever happen, but if they should do it, I think the honors should go to an up-and-coming star. Someone like MVP.

Ending Taker's undefeated streak would put him over as a heel for life. Everyone would hate him, hell, even the mark in me would. MVP can work a good match with the best of them, and this is a match I'd really like to see.

I'd also like to suggest Mr. Kennedy, but quite frankly I don't see that as being as likely to happen as MVP, due to KK being injury prone as hell. The casket match (or was it Last Ride match?) with Kennedy was one of the premiere bouts of 2006, and really shows what these two guys can do together.

that was me, i'm glad someone brought it up before i did again, but what do you think of that idea? Also i maintain that's how it should go down. Opponent gets the same rub for being the only guy to gain a fall over Taker, but Taker still wins.

Yes he did win by DQ but the point was that Taker should never lose by DQ at WM because it would be uber-******ed.

Taker should never lose at WM. It isn't just because he's 16-0, it's the fact that his streak is 16 years long. It just seems like such a waste to throw it all away for a rising star that may not even be in the WWE as long as Taker has.

Who ever this rising star is could pull a Lesnar and ditch the WWE after a huge push. Then what? Undertaker's streak was just wasted for a guy who didn't even care about the business. Taker has been here for 18 years. That shows his devotion to the company. I highly doubt that any newer stars will be around as long as Taker has been so there is no one that should end the streak.
