you have more important things to do, such as drunk driving and worrying if you knocked that girl up at the party last night?

That's not really a fair comparison...Proust's genius would be considered something altogether different from that of Tesla and Edison.

Tesla was pretty badass, I'll give you that.

I consider "In Search of Lost Time" to be, however, a more valuable contribution to humanity than any scientific work of Tesla.

It's true. In Search of Lost Time is easily the most complex, advanced, and thorough dive into the human soul ever created. I'm not saying Tesla didn't do anything worthwhile, I just consider In Search of Lost Time a more important contribution to society in general.
