The Current State of Batman (comic books)

So let me get this straight, Bruce is back, and he's publicly announced that he's been the one funding Batman the whole time and that now they are going to take the Batman brand global, and from what I also understand Nightwing has taken over as Batman, Tim Drake has handed reigns of Robin over to Damian, Bruces son, and has become Red Robin, and there is a new Batgirl, the old Batgirl Barbra Gordon is now the Oracle, and Batman is also aligned with Batwoman, and The Huntress...Do I have all this right, last time I read Batman was the Batman RIP graphic novel, so I'm just trying to understand wtf is going on with everyone favorite caped crime fighter

EDIT: Oh and apparently Tim Drake was adopted by Bruce Wayne as well (when the fuck did this happen?!)

From what I understand he wasn't really dead just transported back in time, which I thought was ******ed when I found this out AFTER reading Batman:RIP, I thought Bruce was suppose to be a normal mortal human being, yet he can not only recover from being paralyzed by Bane, but then years later "killed" and then sent back in time, and somehow he returns and it's like nothing happened, he's perfectly healthy and has seemingly not lost a step?

And was does Batman need to "go global", where the fuck are the rest of the DC universe superheros, are Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Green Arrow, Martian Manhunter, & Aquaman, and so on, to busy to fight crime these days?

This was all in the resolution of Final Crisis and the build up to Grant Morrison's "Batman & Robin" series debut.

I thought Bats had already had a semi-decent working relationship with The Huntress? Anyway, the new Batwoman's been around since after Infinite Crisis, I think.

Yuppp that sounds about right. If I remember correctly, Joker shot Ms. Gordon and paralyzed her so he could get Bruce's attention. That Joker is some guy. Definitely one of the best villains ever created.

And I'm perplexed with the whole going global with Batman as well. Makes me think that there's going to be a interesting plot twist somewhere. Perhaps this isn't the REAL Bruce Wayne and Wayne did in fact die. I don't know. I'm intrigued though.

EDIT: Oh Justin, I watched Red Hood on Netflix a few weeks back after you (or someone else- not too sure) recommended it. Any other Batman or Superman or any other Superhero movies worth watching?

So far I've liked pretty much all the DC Universe originals, I know you can watch Justice League: The New Frontier on Netflix Instant Queue, that one is defiantly worth checking out, others I would recommend are Green Lantern: First Flight, & Batman/Superman: Apocalypse

Is it me or has the Batman story gone the same route as Buffy Season 8? Basically decided there's little more to do with him generally so turned him into a leader of other Batmans and run a head of operations, kinda going against the whole, there can be only one policy?

I know the feeling, there's nothing better than holding a book when reading it. Reading online is irritating but there is no way I'm gettin these comic books where I live so...

Also Under the Red Hood is a gem, Amazing story-telling.
