The Complete Royal Rumble Anthology

is that the one Hogan won?
Well, he won 1990 and 1991. 1990 was just a fantastic PPV. The crowd was incredibly hot all night, the matches throughout were solid, and the Royal Rumble match is probably the best of all. From DiBiase staying in for what seemed like an eternity (back before such thing was common) at the number 1 spot, to the incredible eruption that Warrior got, to the bigger reaction Hogan got, to the even bigger reaction when Warrior finally eliminated DiBiase, and to the moment it nearly blew the roof off when Warrior and Hogan finally matched up one-on-one with each other.

There was a fantastic story told in this RR match, more so than I think I've seen in any other match, and it set the main-event of Wrestlemania up beautifully.

1990 is the best.

I was curious, I might have to watch it, because when it actually happened I wasn't even 3 yet.

I've heard about it, I think this is the one where he eliminated Mr Perfect.

Yeah...he eliminated Perfect to win the Royal Rumble. You should watch it. It is really an astounding Royal Rumble.

The reason it doesn't get its just due is because so many of todays fans weren't alive or watching wrestling back then. And so, they think because it's old, it must be boring. And, that's just not true.

Ah, the true question is why am I intrigued by the fact that you're intrigued by the idea of a stalker?

By the way, if that post box moves... you didn't see anything.

:lmao:
Why am I intrigued about you being intrigued about me being intrigued about having a stalker?!

Yeah, I did look past this rumble because of my age. I probably have this rumble on a tape around my house somewhere. Just don't know where. Anyways Hogan won, it had to be a tremendous royal rumble.

I can vouch for this. Currently watching the 1989 event, and there was a kick ass 2-out-of-3 falls, 6-man tag match which saw The Rougeau Brothers and Dino Bravo take on Jim Duggan and the Hart Foundation, and despite the fact that the match is nearly 3 years older than I am, it was superb. Harley Race/King Haku is good as well.

I have that Rumble on tape. Those matches were pretty good. So i agree with you on that one. I dont remember the rumble itself, but i do remember the matches. Well, some of them.

I just bought the anthology, and I'm so glad. I taped over all of my old pay per views and to this day it urks me that I did that. Plus, Demolitions theme music is back, sweet ass. The Mania anthology sucked. Seriously, Demolitions theme music was the best music ever.

I have to agree with Sly, 1990's Rumble was bad ass beyond bad ass, for all the reasons that he said. If you haven't watched it, you need to. It's a toss up for me between 1990, 1992 (Flair's win was amazing and shocking), 1997, and 2007. The 97 one was insanely good with all of the controversy surrounding the finish. It solidified Austin as a legit bad ass/opportunist. And the 2007 Rumble with the finish between Michaels and Taker was amazing. Probably the best wrestling in the last 3 years in the WWE, but amazed by how the WWE refused to capitalize on the interest created by those two.

That's true, I just watched the 90 rumble. That theme is fucking hilarious. I need to update my music damn it.
