The best there is

ABS

Occasional Pre-Show
I know Its have been disscussed before and if there any other thread about this topic feel free to merge.

I know its been disscussed alot but you do you think the best ever to step into Pro Wreslting. See I was thinking about it the other day and I realized theres no best because everyone who did awsome had his bad parts.

Some may say Hogan , but Hogan Sucked balls in the ring. He didnt put anyone over.

Some may say Flair , but hes couldnt and didnt Draw as much as Hogan and Austin.

Some may say of legends from the 70's and 80's but could these put on a show other than in the ring like the AE superstars ?

Some may say The Rock but the fact of the matter is he wasn't that good in the ring and to some and alot hes a traitor , Yes he is the best on the mike and the best entertainer but he didnt stay in the WWE for long enough.

Some may say Taker , but as I read someone post the other day Taker hasnt done much for the WWE that can beat hogan and Austin.

So whos your pick and list the reason and compare them to other wrestlers. My conclusion comes to 2 wresltlers :

The Hearbreak kid , the showstopper Shawn Michaels. :

Hes Charasmatic , hes skillfull , hes passionate , he is pretty much the Superstar. He's probably the best over all wreslter , the guy can put on any kidn of match all the way from Matt skills to highflying matches

The guy could carry ANYONE in the ring and he always steals the show at Mania.

The guy has put over many Wreslers.

He could talk the talk and walk the walk.

He was the reason WCW didnt eat WWE alive in 1997 and he is defentlay the most FRIKING Passionate Wresler I EVER SAW. The guy was it , he was and still is evertything. At his 40's he still put on matches better than anyone in the WWE. Yes he wasnt as big as a draw as Hogan , but he def beats Hogan in many other aspects.

Then We get to the Rattle Snake Stone cold Steave Austin.

As Micheals hes skillfull , hes passtionate and hes Charasmatic and he def is the 2nd biggest Draw.

Some may say he was jsut a brawler , but go watch his RingMaster days and tell me if hes just a Brawler.

One of the best on the mike.

Has the most memroable moments in Wreslting history.

The one that put WCW out of buisness and saved WWE ass.

And to me the most entetainign with the greatest character of all time.

He broke his neck in a match and almost got paralized but continued the match and came back from the injury were many would have quit , gave it his all until his neck and both Knees died on him.

But if someone asked me Whats Pro Wrestlign all bout , Ill tell him go watch Shawn Micheals.

The best ever was Hulk Hogan. End of story, end of thread.

Was Hogan a better wreslter than Micheals and Flair ? Was Hogan a better entertainer than the The rock and austin ? See thats my point compare them to other wreslters as well.

The best ever has to go the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels. I mean the guy put the company on his back when everyone was leaving. He is by far one of the best ever to step into that ring. He could wrestle big men, agile guys, powerhouses, hardcore. He could do it all and make it look awesome.

There is a reason why HBK has been in more "first time ever" matches then anyone else has and thats because he is that damn good. You can put him in any match and it is guarenteed to be a match to remember. He trully is The Icon, The Showstopper!

So the discussion ends there! Period!

Depends on personal taste, or if you're being objective. If you're being objective, it's pretty much unquestionably Hogan.

Hulk hogan had a total of 2 things he could do in the ring, what about Triple H? Also, even though i hate his guts, Randy Orton could be talked about as one of the greatest at some point to.

Thats laughable, HHH and Orton do not belong in the discussion as the greatest of all time at this point. No matter how good Orton could seem in 10 years, at this piont he does not deserve to be in this discussion, not even mentioned, even though he is the man. And HHH, well I won get started on that again, not the best ever, never will be considered the best ever.

Looking at it objectively it has to be Hogan, he brought wrestling to the forefront, he is immortal, he is Hulk Hogan.

Personally, I think The Rock could have been the greatest of all time if he hadn't left. The Rock had the best charisma in the history of the WWE, he was amazing on the mic, such great charisma and he was pretty good in the ring. The reason I would put Hogan ahead of him in the all time category is simply due to the fact that Hogan was around much longer than The Rock, did not leave in his prime and gave much more to the business.

walk around the ring and wave his hand behind his ear and flex, the rest was just good acting on the other wrestlers part. He shouldn't even be mentioned as the greatest wrestler, cause he never did it.

What I dont get is how people can really defend the fact that HBK isnt the greatest of all time. I mean look how much he has done for the business. People still go nuts when he walks through the curtain and he by far has the best matches.

He has put over countless people and still maintains his greatness in the ring. Will somebody please explain to me how that doesnt classify him as great?

Hogan sucked! Terrible in-ring performer, and you can't even deny that.

I agree with the fact that HBK could be considered the best of all time. There isn't many people with as much passion as HBK.

The in ring performance isn't anything, I am sick of people calling guys horrible because they aren't the IWF kind of wrestler in which you are a great technicle and mat wrestler, there is more than just that to wrestling!

Hogan is the greatest of all time becuase he is the biggest draw of all time, the biggest star in the history of WWF/WWE, his in ring skills dont tell the story on how great he was.

Yea, because people dont go crazy whenever Hogan walks through the door ....and HBK has done more for the buisness for Hulk?? Think not???? And Hogan has put over ridiculous amounts of people as well.

Dont make me bust out the list.

And HBK is classified as great. just not the greatest of all time, or better than Hulkster.

And im not sure how he was short on in ring skills. He was a bralwer. What else is a dude whowas 6' 8" and over 300 pouns supposed to do??? 450 splash??

HBK isn't in the top five greatest of all time. He never carried the company on his back as you claimed. He always had Hart, Austin, and/or Taker along with numerous others with him. Shawn does many things great, but for everything great he does you can name someone who does it better.

Sam said it best, if you're being objective, its definately Hogan.

Hulk Hogan was the best overall professional wrestler of all time. (Huge draw, huge impact, great legacy, great champion, great charisma, etc).

Randy Savage was the best total package of all time. (Charisma, psychology, selling, workrate, athleticism, etc).

Bret Hart was the best "wrestler", in terms of quality of matches.

How did HBK not put the company on his back? He was the World Champ and having great matches with Sid, Diesel, Mankind etc....

He was and still is a pretty damn good draw. Granted people will say Hogan is the greatest of all time and he did bring Wrestling mainstream. There is no doubt about that. But people have been just as popular as Hogan and have had better matches. So logically that would move them up the list. People like HBK, Rock, Austin cant help when they got into wrestling and who knows if they had been around when Hogan began breaking out into his own they could have been the ones who revolutionized Wrestling.

So HBK imo is the greatest of all time because he has had AWESOME matches and has done countless things for the business

make money and get people to cheer wildly for him???

Were not just talking about who was a bigger draw and who made more money , were talking about who is the ''Superstar'' and in the that theres alot of thing that Hogan doesnt have.

Agreed.

Laughable. That would be The Rock.

Bret Hart was the best "wrestler", in terms of quality of matches.

Not even close, Shawn Michaels takes that easily.

LOL!!!! Hogan is THE definition of "superstar"

Wrestling is about making money. Hogan made the most. and improved the game's ability to get it. So he wins. Period.

If thats your argument then Hart, Hogan, Savage, Sid, Diesel, Foley, Rock, Austin, HHH, and so many others can make that claim. Being a World Champion doesn't automatically make you one of the best of all time.

HBK was a never what I would call a damn good draw. His first title reign was horrendous and ratings didn't get better until Hart came back and fueded with Austin. The next huge ratings boost came without HBK, so there is really no evidence that shows him as a top draw. HBK has been a major player in WWF/E for a long time, but he is not in the top five best ever, top ten is more like it.
