The Best...Line of a Movie

Mac Attack

I'm neat.
These best threads are picking up steam so here comes the next one the best line from an movie. My personal favorite comes from the movie Dodgeball and believe me this one has some goodies. So without further ado the favorite line.

You made me bleed my own blood.

I don't know what it is about this line however it is absolutely hilarious. It truly is a line that I will use whether on the rugby field or in normal day life. I think it is absolutely hilarious and it is quite the obvious line. I think without a doubt that it deserves a mention in a thread and I personally find it very hilarious. I think that it is so obvious that it makes it even more interesting.

But what is your favorite line?

"Does he look like a Bitch?!??

This piece of random hilarity comes from Pulp Fiction, one of my favorite movies of all time. Jules Winnfield (Samuel L. Jackson) is the one saying it, and when he says it it practically comes out of nowhere. He is asking Bret (an average joe kinda guy) what his boss, Mr. Marcellus looks like. That within itself was random enough, especially when Bret asks quizzically "What?" which infuriates Winnfield enough to shoot him after he asks the above bolded quote. After Bret answers said quote Winnfield sets up the punchline:

"Then why'd you try to fuck him like a bitch, Bret? Yes you did, YES YOU DID BRET. And Mr. Wallace doesn't like to be fucked by anyone other than Mrs. Wallace."

And for anyone else who knows the movie as well as I do, after that Winnfield gives his infamous "Ezekiel 25:17 Speech". Golden stuff man.

I was going to go with a classic like, "Are you crazy? The fall will kill you!" from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, or maybe something hilarious like "I didnt know they gave out rings at the Holocaust" from The Hangover. But I decided to go with the final line in one of the greatest movies ever made, The Boondock Saints, Connor asks his father "How far are we gonna take this Da?" and he responds with The question is not how far. The question is, do you possess the constitution, the depth of faith, to go as far is as needed?

I still can't get over: "Go ahead......make my day" from the fourth Dirty Harry movie; "Sudden Impact."

It was such a powerful line because it summed up everything about the Dirty Harry persona in just five words. In fact, the line became so identified with Clint Eastwood's most famous character that it was attributed to the first Harry movie, although it actually was spoken in the next to last film.

The famous line from the first movie was the "Feel lucky.....punk?" Harry spoke twice. That was great but lacked the punch of his most famous line, delivered with the sneering, disgusted attitude toward criminals that Eastwood was able to convey better than anyone else.

Assumption is the mother of all Fuck-ups. Under Siege 2. How true this line is. Far from my favorite movie but definately one of if not the best line i have ever heard, and I only say that because I use it, at minimum, once a week.

'Take your stinking paws off me, you damn dirty ape!' This one quote perfectly sums up just what Charlton Heston's character feels in Planet of the Apes. He's been thrown onto a strange new world ruled by creatures he and the audience consider to be below the human race. He's stuck in a place where he is now a minority and greatly outmatched by a race he believes he should be above. He's is also showing that he's not one to messed with as he's prepared to insult not just one or two of the apes, but the entire population.

"Casey fuckin' Ryback!?" Under Siege 2. Love me some Seagal and this film, as Stuntz has already shown, contains a number of classics!

A close second was "What am I doing? Oh yeh, I'm making a bomb"

Mine is from Will Smith movie:

Hitch

"Life is not the amount of breaths you take, it's the moments that take your breath away."

It is an awesome line, i just love it!! Romantic and really beautiful!
Best romantic line ever made :worship:

One of my personal favourites is from the movie "Independence Day", when Russell Case flies his jet up into the underbelly of the Alien Ship just before it launches its main weapon which would destroy the landscape below.

Case had claimed throughout the movie that he had been previously abducted by aliens and noone had believed him, and he now had the opportunity to save the day and be a hero.

As the alien's weapon shines above him, he rips off his mask and looks up and yells:

"All right you alien assholes.....In the words of my generation......UP YOUUUUUUURS!!!

Mines from The Silence of the Lambs, when Hannibal Lecter tells Clarice "A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti". But what really makes this line to me is the noise he makes afterwards, almost like a hiss. So well done and so creepy. Especially when I was 11 and watching it for the first time, gave me nightmares at the time. Infact I haven't watched TSOTL for about a year, I may wack it out tonight.

I'm more into speeches than one liners but if I have to pick one, well that's hard for me but it would definitely be out of Scarface. There's so many classic one-liners from that movie, how can you pick one? Tony's delivery & accent make em so cool to listen to. Best accent I ever heard.

I have a couple...

"I made him an offer he couldn't refuse"

Epic gangster line, and when Don Vito Corleone says it, you know EXACTLY what he meant, without explanation. Not only that, but doesn't that one, simple line, pretty much sum up the tone of the entire Godfather series?

But, for as great a line as that is, I have to say its only my second favorite line ever. My all time favorite line is from one of the most iconic scenes in cinema history. Hell, I am not even going to bother mentioning the film, no need to, because chances are good that pretty much everyone reading this post has seen it at least once, if not multiple times.

"No. I am your father."

From my favorite film, Jaws.

Chief Brody has all of his eggs in one basket, and has to make an impossible shot to avoid a terrifying death. As he utters, "Smile you son of a bitch," almost instantly the shark blows up. The music in the background help sets a perfect mood. But the line captures the moment.

All this reminds me of what might be the most famous one-liner ever.

Robert DeNiro as Travis Bickle in "Taxi Driver."

"You talkin' to me?"

Didn't WWE do a vignette of this, with Undertaker breaking kayfabe to participate?

South Park cuts right through the nonsense and points out the hypocrisy behind current censorship status.
"Horrific, Deplorable violence is okay, as long as people don't say any naughty words!"

I could also take 4 or 5 lines from The Black Knight's last battle in Monty Python Holy Grail.

"Tis but a scratch."

"Ahh scratch? Your arms off!"

"no it isn't"

"whats that then." pointing at the black nights arm

black night looking down and then at the king "Ah I've had worse."

"you liar"

"Come on you pansie!"

After loosing the other arm comes "its only a flesh wound"

Thats just the begining of great lines from this movie period.

My favorite movie line of all time actually has two parts to it.

It's from the movie Independence Day and it goes like this:

"Welcome to Earth!" Then Will Smith's character punches the Alien. He then sits down, puts a cigar in his mouth and says: "Now that's what I call a close encounter."

From Groundhog Day, which has so many lines that I could really name any of them and be set:

I was in the Virgin Islands once. I met a girl. We ate lobster, drank piña coladas. At sunset, we made love like sea otters. That was a pretty good day. Why couldn't I get that day over, and over, and over?

That whole scene with the drunk guys in the bar maybe my favorite comedy scene in the movies.

Tenacious D- The Pick of Destiny

"Whats it gonna be Kyle, Tits or Destiny?"

Superbad-

"Well Jules, the funny thing about my back is that its located on my cock"

Snatch-

"Do you know what "nemesis" means? A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent. Personified in this case by an 'orrible cunt... me. "

"Your the dumb blonde, with the big tits, we'll have some fun with you!"

This one is from the movie Scream 4.. haha The movie was actually funny and different in some other ways I mean it was also scary and thrilling as it was supposed to be haha It was worth watching for me.. I love the movie! hahaha I'm sure to buy a copy and watch it again!
