The Best Era of the Modern WWE

I voted for Era 3 because I just loved it and that is the only real answer I can give, I loved all of the old eras but during this time Hogan was feuding with Slaughter and Macho feuded with Flair (with Mr. Perfect) but during that time you could tell the WWF was branching into the new generation meaning that guys like Hogan and Savage only had so much time to be on top before guys like Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels took over.

I really do not understand why there had to be so many eras on the poll when there should have only been maybe five or six.

The reason why there are so many eras is for general story line purposes. You can tell a shift in top guys and story telling in these eras. They are actually probably more of sub-eras. You could really break these up into two eras if you wanted to, and then these 9 sub-eras. The first Era would be the Hogan era, ending in 96. Yes Hogan was gone for a couple years, but the residual effect of his leaving was felt for those years.

And then you would have the Austin era. You can say that we are still in the latter years of the Austin era. Austin is gone, but we have yet to have that guy grab the brass ring and run with it. Some will argue that we are in the Cena era, but I'll make the arguement that in the long run, Cena is going to be seen as a transitional champion. Vince isn't going to put up with his champ being booed at every wrestlemania. I think Kennedy will be the next Hogan/Austin, and that's a big load to put on a person. If the WWE does him right, and that's not rushing him into this position, it'll be gold.

It'll always be taht touchy subject. Triple H doesn't move up into that Hogan/Austin field, because the fans hated him. I would make the arguement that Brock was going to be the guy to run this company for the next 10 years and that Cena would have been his Warrior or Rock. I'll listen to the arguement though that we are in the Cena era and that Kennedy is his Rock/Warrior.

Attitude ERA.... There was DX, Stone Cold pissing off Mr. McMahon, there was the People's Champ, The Rock... There was the great feud between Kane and The Undertaker. There was Mike Tyson right-hooking HBK, there was the Montreal Screwjob, Mankind falling off the Hell in a Cell... What an Era. Ive been watching wrestling since 1995. And this is the best of the Eras.
