This year they are in Umagaland, to spice it up, as we haven't seen a south Pacific island featured in at least a year. So far this season, there were 20 contestants, and they were broken into their two tribes. We had one tribe which was not much fun, and one tribe which was fun, due to one man. American Hero Russell H., who described his tale of Hurricane Katrina, losing his dog, and being a firefighter during the ordeal. At the same time, however, I have photographic proof that he was in a pool in Texas. Maybe he is lying. We shall see!

Well I am a little behind, just trying to catch up now with Survivor. As many of you know, the island of Samoa was just rocked with a tsunami. Luckily the show is pretaped, and they were gone, however, not lucky for the citizens of Samoa.

Week two was a huge week in Survivor. We will start with the challenge, where we had a rough and tough survivor. a first happened as Ben was taken out of the challenge for a trip on Russell. I didn't think much of it, a lot less than other things that were going on in the game. So again the tribe would have to vote someone off. However, they would lose yet another person as Mick had to leave after having suffered an injury. As part of the reward, Yasmin would observe the other tribe, and even got into a fight with Ben, which i thought was not deserved.

The big news is Russell from Foa Foa, who found the hidden immunity necklace before ever seeing a clue. This guy is the most enjoyable part of Survivor this season. He also led to Betsy, the cop, getting voted off.

Another episode and another member of Foa Foa gone. This tribe just does not have what it takes to win, and after going 0-3 so far look to be one of the worst teams of all time. The other tribe did a foolish move in not taking the FUCKING tarp. Seriously, blanket and some mats, or fishing gear and a tarp?

Russell was vetoed for the first time tonight, as Ben was taken out. Russell wanted Ashley, but went along in taking out Ben, who was apparently racist. Again, I take Ben's side in this, and calling someone ghetto trash isn't racist. she was a trashy person from the ghetto. White people can come from the ghetto too. I dislike her, and hope she is the first gone when they have to vote someone off. Shambo was a pleasant surprise, and did the right thing, becoming equiped to be with another team if needed.

Russell is basically a smart asshole, he is playing the game right. Im glad to see Ben gone he was a prick I couldn't stand him. I do however hate how Russell always seems to pick on the hot girls lol.

The entire episode pretty much foreshadowed this, but as we saw last night, Galu lost the immunity idol for the first time. We saw how there were many different lines in their tribe, with many people on the chopping block, including Shambo, Monica, and eventually the first person eliminated, Yasmin. Yasmin was a cunt, and I hated her. So that was good. They lost the immunity, but they won the reward, which did not feature Jeff for some reason. They were given three chickens, but Shambo, who claimed to be a chicken expert, lost one the first day.

Well I haven't updated this in a while, so I thought it was time. There are now 9 people left in Samoa. How at the merge, one tribe went from 8 members, to now being the minority, I have no idea. Russell has probably cemented himself as the greatest player in the game. He has now, went three shows of finding hidden immunity idols. He has played them twice now, causing the elimination of a member. And the shocking elimination of Erik to start the chain of events, to John turning on his tribe, after they tried to use him as bait, to rid the show of Laura, the venomous snake that she is.

I hope Russell wins, because there is not ONE person who has played that game as well as he has.

On the other hand, everyone is starting to see through Russell's bullshit and he'd have to go to the final two with Sham or someone to take the money home. Even then, he may still need to make a strong case for himself. AGAINST FUCKING SHAM!

A big part of the game is getting people to like you. Russell doesn't do it as well as he pretends to formulate big plans (Read: Follows the tide of least resistance 95% of the time and talks big; Eg: Taking out Laura, etc. Not his plan. Shambo's. But he'll sure talk tough). I'm not sure who our winner is, but I don't think it's Russ. I also hope it's not Russ.

As for how Galu lost the advantage? Stupidity. Not as much of a do or die need to stick together that you saw in Foa Foa. It wouldn't shock me to see the new majority eat itself alive just as dumbly.

My picks? Hmm. I'll give you a final four:
-Natalie. Kinda hot? I'd give her the money.
-Dave. He seems like a pretty cool guy. My favorite.
-John. Smart enough to know the score and nice enough to win.
-Mick. My mom seems to like him.

I have watched survivor for many years now, since I was a tm. And winners are not usually who you liked, but who played the best game. Russell has done that. He has shown passion for the game, he doesn't whine, even though he has had much to whine about. he works hard in rewards and immunity, and he has been strategic. How the three people he brought along with him will not vote for him, is crazy. John will probably vote for him, Sham would, and Erik would. Monica, Dave, Brett, and Laura might not, but the first 3 can be won over.

With the way Russell gets those hidden idols and lies to everyone, I'm not so sure that the new majority won't start eating itself by deciding Russ is too much of a threat. I could even see the three he brought with him turning on him when the survival of the minority isn't dependent on that dire loyalty. Russ has played a fine game. But I can't see him anywhere but the jury come the end of this thing.

If it comes down to Jaison (SNOB!!), Natalie, and Mick on the jury, yeah... They'll vote for Russ. But before then, I could see them making a power play of some sort.

They really seem too dumb to work that out. If they eliminate Brett, Dave, and Monica over the next three, then they get rid of John, Which they will do, becuase there is no reason to do otherwise. then it'll be Shambo, Jaison, Russell, Dumb blond with long hair, and Mick. Only Mick and Russell have chances to win immunity really. The second it goes against Russell, then he uses his hidden one. Game over.

Okay. That's plenty easy to say right now. But look how things were stacked against Foa Foa when things came into the merge. Idiocy won out with the group that had comfortable numbers. We've witnessed it for weeks. To assume it won't happen just because Russell can't be out-thought is giving him and his merry band of coattail riders too much (premature) credit.

In your history of watching Survivor, has there ever been a guy who got so strong that his allies thought it in their best interest to cut their losses? I could see Russell getting that treatment.

No, not because it's a good idea. Just because.

Sheesh TM another topic that I can actually relate to. I've been a fan of Survivor since it's first season and have loved it ever since. (Though I do miss the good old days of the castaways literally starting with a machette and a bag o rice) So far this season I have been impressed with the performance of the Galu tribe up until the merge. Now it is Foa Foa that I am really impressed by. They went in at a 4-7 disadvantage, convinced Galu to vote out Eric, got Shambo on their side, then booted Kelly thanks to Russel, then got another Galu member to flop and boot Laura. Great job on mainly Russel's part. The issue I see though is that soon everyone is going to realize just how much of a threat the guy is. Russell is probably one of the best players I've ever seen. He's manages to get everyone to listen to him all while most of the time lying. It will be an interesting reunion show. Lets not forget finding now 3 idols...

Wow. This show is still on? I remember when it first came on. First couple seasons I remember watching it every once and a while. It came on the same time as Smackdown though, so I skipped it mostly. I remember watching an episode once where the guy fell in the fire. Does anybody else remember that? Nice to see the show is still alive and kicking. You'd think they would have set it back with the tsunami.

The tsunami happened after the show was filmed, so they gave a tribute to the victims a few weeks ago the same time that it happened, but it did not effect the show. Yes, Michael feel in season two into the fire, and became the first person to not be voted to leave. Two people left the show this season, 1 from heart condition, and one from dehydration. And yes it is still going, and I beleive next season (20) is an All Star season, with hopefully Russell.

Well that was not such a great episode, and I think it was an unwise move. John gets voted off after his betrayal from his team. I really dont know why Dave or Brett were not targets. The preview for next weeks episode showed that Russell was a target for next week, which usually means he will be on the chopping block, but will not be voted off.

I guess I am glad a Foa Foa won in a Survivor that came down to two tribes battling it out. Natalie won, but probably shouldn't have. If Russell had only taken out her instead of Jaison, I think it would have gone the other way. Mick got no love, and that played well for Nat, as her and his games were so closely linked.

I really wish Russel would have won. He played by far the best game in Survivor history. He had both the physical and mental aspects down and used everything to HIS adavantage. He definitely need to be back for Survivor: Hero vs. Villain.
