Super Street Fighter 4

My girlfriend once told me she woke up in the middle of the night because I was reciting combos in my sleep. I kid you not.....Now I dont know about you guys but I love me some street fighter 4. ever since last february I have been a drone. Now with the announcement of super street fighter 4, you can imagine how I am jizzing in my pants daily. for a couple of months now they have been advertising the new characters. up until a few days ago the newbies for sf4 were T-Hawk, DeeJay and Kuri a completely new character. BUT NOW...they've announced Cody, Guy and Adon. I loved SF alpha 3 so I'm very familiar with these characters. I saw the clip trailer displaying their basic moves and ultra combos. and it looks amazing. I cannot wait. Am I the only person who is excited like this. I know they're some street fighter fans out there who can agree.

I have never been a Street Fighter fan and I don't think I ever will be.

The problem is that I saw the movie first and I never really liked it. Since then, when I have attempted to play the games, I can only think of how bad Kylie Minogue was in that movie. Oh well, that is another story for another time. One of my friends got Street Fighter 4 for his birthday a few months ago and I played a couple of games with him and didn't really enjoy it all that much. Street Fighter has never appealed to me and I have no idea as to why. I have always been more of a Tekken fan and a Mortal Kombat fan than Street Fighter and I don't think that additional material will be the cure for it.

My first question is why it has taken so long to get some additional material out there. You mentioned February, is that when the game was released? If so, why has it it taken 10 months to get some new characters? That is unacceptable and really shows how lax it has been at Capcom. Although hopefully, this means good things foe DeadRising 2.I know that a lot of people love Street Fighter but I don't think that I will ever be. The graphics are not very good and I like Tekken a lot more because they are at least trying to make the game look more realistic. I dunno but I am completely underwhelmed by the additional material.

I love differences of opinion. It makes for awesome conversation. Now sf4 released in feb....but there have been issues with the game. some characters are completely unbalanced. ask anyone who plays the game and they'll tell you that sagat and ryu are just unfair sometimes. aside from that...the online lags a bit...matches drop outta nowhere. kinks that needed...unkinking. its taking capcom a while because they are overhauling damn near the whole game. now the online will be better than ever, they added new ultra moves for the already existing characters which is a big deal for me. they are re-balancing everyone...so a 6 hit combo from sagat wont take 3/4's of your life anymore. they added a spectator-like winner keeps playing type of mode. and of course 8 new characters. its a BIG change coming to the game itself. i can see why you dont like it though. your reasoning is understandable. if you like the more realistic type of fighting games then tekken is the way to go. street fighter is a combo game. i dont play it for the graphics or the thrill of a hadoken. i play it for combo possibilities. at first glance you see someone playing street fighter and its like ok....hadoken here...uppercut there. but those who are reallly skilled can bang out 6 or 7 hits into an ultra move. pretty sick stuff. btw....the street fighter movie absolutely sucked... cant argue with that one. lol

You are not the only one who is excited at all. I don't have a PS3 or a 360, but can't wait for the release of Super Street Fighter 4. Too bad there will not be a Wii version since that's the only modern console I have (although if there was, the controlls would probably use the stupid wiimotes).... I loved Super Street Fighter 2 on the SNES and this game has my attention because the playable cast that I grew up with has finally returned in its entirety! I will be playing my friends' copies when they get them for sure. This game will live up to the hype and be better than "regular" Street Fighter 4 in every way.... I'm sure of it.
