Suggest me songs.!

ShinChan

Gone. For. Good.
So I've rarely listened English songs. Mostly Hindi and a bit of Punjabi. Suggest me some of your favorite songs.

I care very much about the lyrics. In fact, the most about lyrics so take that into consideration. Thanks in advance!

"Symphony of the Night" by Dragonforce

This has been one of my favorites in the past couple of years.

"Bye Bye Beautiful" by Nightwish

My favorite band. This song would be a great place to start with them.

So far everyone here is just suggesting personal favorite songs (except for Jeff, solid pick with Comfortably Numb). I'm not knocking it, it's a good way to discover new music, but I'm going to throw you some songs that not only do I love, but they have mass appeal as well.

And then here's my personal choice...

I chose 'Suture Up Your Future' for the lyrics, which was something that was asked for.

On a related note, I recently found a nice little plug-in for my media player called 'Lyrics' which does exactly what you might think it does for each of the songs in your library as it plays.

Guns N Roses-November Rain

Metallica-One

Phill Collins- Another day in paradise

Seal-Kiss From a Rose

Immortal Technique -Dance with the devil

Tech N9Ne-Fragile

Kendrick Lamar - All of his songs

I missed that part of his post. Probably could have done better than Nirvana in that case.

Faith No More-Evidence
Guns N' Roses-Rocket Queen
Suicidal Tendencies-I Saw Your Mommy
Too $hort-The Ghetto
The Black Crowes-Remedy

Drops of Jupiter - Train
Just a great song. Instruments and vocals with great lyrics.

Kick, Push - Lupe Fiasco
A Hip Hop song but with a great calm beat. Lupe at his best and gives you a great picture

Gives you hell - The All American Rejects
Not much to it, just a favourite of mine

I don't want to be - Gavin DeGraw
Again just a great song from the rock genre. Definitely awesome lyrics as wel

I'm Yours - Jason Mraz
Mellow beat with basically just a ukelele. Definitely give it a listen.

Wavin Flag- Knaan
You might like this one the best, awesome lyrics and possibly the most relatable song to India from my list.

I just gave you a bit of everything that I think you'll like/could like. Really depends on what lyrics you like. Like do you like love songs or someone who can paint a picture or even someone that can just use any word and rhyme it? Personally Eminem will always be the best lyracist to me but you might not like rap. I think it's hard to get into if you weren't born into it. Nickel back have some great lyrics for a rock band but aren't very popular. Not sure why because I think they're sick if you just listen to their message.
