Steroids and the WWE

I'm pretty sure Umaga and Big Show don't take steroids, but that's not why I posted on this thread. Anybody know about HGH ? I admit not knowing a lot about it, but it's supposed to be the new deal in bodybuilding. I don't know if HGH shows up on a steroids test, but let's say it doesn't, Cena could be honest about not taking steroids but he could be doing HGH by the tons.

HGH is pretty much indetectable. I very much believe that Cena has used or uses HGH. He has all the features of an HGH user, and seeing as he was a natural bodybuilder, this is highly likely to mean he took HGH at some point, it's no secret that all the top natty BBers are on HGH because it's so difficult to detect

This is naive. Just because Batista said he didnt take roids, doesnt mean he didnt. There is no way anyone can get to 290lbs of pure muscle, ripped abs etc without taking steroids. 250lb is probably the absolute maximum you could get to clean without taking steroids whilst maintaining abs, and even 250lb is a push. To get to Batista's size without takin roids is physically impossible. Even the most genetically gifted bodybuilders e.g. Arnie, couldnt get to his size clean. At 6'5 and 290lb batistas BMI is 34.4. At 6'2 and 235lb Arnold Schwarzenegger had a BMI of 30.2. Arnold is one of the most if not the most decorated bodybuilder of all time and he took a shit load of steroids and was genetically gifted, and Batista's BMI is 4.2 more than his WITHOUT STEROIDS?! i dont think so.

Wrong. there are plenty of NFL defensive linemen and a few Tight Ends who are around 300 pounds, and ripped to the gills. 6 packs and all. its possible, especially if working out is ALL you do (the reason the NFL guys are so ripped is they play a game for a profession....body builders are ripped for a profession)

oh and to answer the thread question, probably about 99% of all wrestlers and on air personalities besides the girls (Chyna not included)

check that...

Used in order to get as big as he is. Not sure about for recovery purposes. It's way more difficult to gauge with the naked eye that kind of thing.

its just almost nearly physically impossible to maintain the sorts of physiques these dudes have with all the travel and schedules they have to keep. the amount of times you have to eat, the types of foods you have to eat, the amount of working out you need to do, the amount of sleep you need to have. its just not possible.

The point i was trying to make is even the top end bodybuilders who do nothing but build muscle only just reach 300lb and thats with lots of steroid help. back to the arnold scwahznegger reference - i find it hard to beleive that Batista could have a BMI of 4 higher than his without steroids. steroids wash out of your system reasonably fast and so as for the american football players they could have taken them when they were younger and by time they make it big they are clean and HUAGE. i come from england so i dont kno a lot about american football at all; but The Rock used to play for the Miami Hurracanes right? in his autobiography he admitted to taking steroids for a period of about 6 weeks - 2 months; and he never failed a drug test whilst playing college football because he took them in high school and they had washed out of his system by college and therefore he was clean.

search for natural body builders; they are about the limit of the size you can get to. one of the biggest ones is about 6'2 and 16stone. Thats 3 1/2 stone behind batista

That is something i hadnt thought about. With all the travelling and with their busy schedules, they wont have chance to eat all the meals required to sustain their size. Especially considering they excersise a lot in terms of wrestling, you would expect them to lose weight not maintain it. but they dont....

batista is married to steroids
he shags steroids
his babies will probably be steroids

So do I, the doctor tells me too. Actually, I just keep them in my kitchen cupboard. I don't want to stick anything up my bottom.

why is it shocking?

the following seem to make me think so...

"steroids wash out of your system reasonably fast". total nonsense. low end of the scale detection wise is 2-3 weeks, top end can be up to 8-10 months

"legal protein". WTF is "illegal" protein?

"Scott Steiner has never taken steroids". hahaha come on now

the general consensus that steroids are some sort of big evil, when really they're not as bad as people make out :undertaker2:

There are many reasons why a wrestler may take steroids beyond bulk, rehabilitating from muscle injuries etc, but that's also can be a reason why a wrestler claims "I've never taken steroids" meaning non-medical, when in fact while they're medically told to take them but they ten times the therapeutic amount. Then there's always the take roids, stop taking them, go to a doctor, "you've got low testosterone levels" (caused by stopping taking roids), I prescribe testosterone to counteract that, I've got a prescription for roids, I can pass a WWE drug test.

I'd say close to 90% of the WWF wrestlers in the 80's/early 90's were taking steroids no question. You just gotta look at the stupid bulk ups like Brutus Beefcake.

Looking at photos overtime can be quite surprising. Just compare Justin Credible to his Aldo Montoya WWF days. That jellyfish way on roids.

edit: when HHH suddenly bulked up, that was so freaking obvious, a friend of mine missed RAW for a few a months in the late 90s, then watched it again and went "my god, HHH is suddenly a massive guy, what happened?"

When i said steroids wash out of your system reasonably fast; i knew full well it takes up to 12 months. For me; this seems reasonably fast.

For example - Batista could take steroids between the ages of 18-26, stop taking them; two years later he could pass a drugs test. Considering in this example (just an example) Batista took steroids for 8 years; 1 year for them to wash out of your system is NOTHING!

And i agree with your comment about Scott Steiner - he has definatly used steroids.

On a side note - i take nothing away from guys like Batista for taking steroids. He has still worked phenomenally hard to get his physique and no amount of steroids takes away from his hard work and effort - you still need to train hard and eat well to make steroids as usefull as Batista has

ok well if it was before his WWE life, who cares? WWE performers are supposedly not allowed to take drugs for their health, not because it gives some sort of advantage over other competitors as it does with genuine sports such a sfootball, baseball etc

like any substance if abused steroids could hurt your system

i have taken steroids once as a remedy to bells pausey which caused my face to look like i had a stroke it has left me with a slight subsidance in my left eye (not noticable).

steroids actually saved my face from loking like jim ross

Gotta stay away from that Illegal protein Cap :lmao:

and yea steroids are fine if they are just used, and not abused. Unfortunately, the effects of them are so awesome, and plapable, that people dont want to ween off of them, and end up abusing.

Some protein would be illegal depending on what else it is laced with. And it would also depend on what you were using it for...not the case w/ WWE obviously.

lulz what do people lace their protein with? I'm missing out on some good shit, gimme some!!!!!

haha by that logic you can have illegal pop tarts, or tootsie rolls or illegal french fries.

Protein powder is a bi-product of cheese, almost literally the shit they scrape off the top of milk bottles.

All sorts of drugs can be damaging when abused, alcohol, cocaine, vitamin C, painkillers, steroids, in fact it's been proven that the former are all more dangerous than the latter.
