Steriods and the HoF

Getting Noticed By Management
Now i know everyone has heard bout how baseball is pretty much banning people from there Hall of Fame for using steriods...well just people arent voting them in....Now what im saying is should WWE and wrestling period do the same? Granted i bet many wrestlers have used but WWE is trying to distance itself from steriods scandels and wouldnt banning wrestlers from the HoF that used help WWE's image? Or will it hurt it? kinda like its doing to baseball now

This is essentially an irrelevant question. The reason is that the WWE HOF is not like the HOF of other sports, particularly baseball. The baseball HOF bases its inductions on votes from the Baseball Writers Association of America, a public body that casts ballots every year; that has clearly defined criteria to consider when casting said ballots; and a process by which the actual vote totals for each candidate are released publicly. The WWE HOF is none of those things. Only Vince and his inner circle know what the criteria for induction is and nothing about the process is made public in the way other sports do. So, there's no way for anyone to "make a statement," so to speak, by not voting for an alleged steroid user, i.e. Mark McGwire in baseball.

This question is also kind of silly for this reason alone: this is wrestling, EVERYONE has used steroids. Please don't go trying to claim this guy didn't or that guy didn't, I've watched wrestling long enough to believe that everyone who has ever set foot in a ring has taken something that can be considered a steroid at some point in their career, even if it was just one time. Even Bret Hart admitted he took steroids, and otherwise, I wouldn't have thought him to be a user. So if you go excluding steroid users from the WWE HOF, there won't be a HOF left.

Silly irrelevant point really... Wrestling isn't a sport so using steroids isn't giving you any real advantage over the next guy. Would you really like to see a HOF without the likes of Hogan, Bret, Austin, Hennig? Although many see the WWE HOF as a farce anyway, it's there to honour those who have entertained us over their career, not specifically for physical attributes or real personal achievements. As the person above said, it is dificult to name 5 WWE wrestlers that wouldn't have used SOMETHING performance enhancing.

Personally, I think WWE are doing all they can to be anti-drugs these days, if the Welness Policy is as stringent as we're made to believe.

The wellness plan is helping, but i bet there is alot of stuff going on we dont know about.
Anyone who thinks the WWE or any sport for that matter will ever be completely drug free is decieving themselves.

To ban every performer that had used steroids would leave them with no viable inductees.

Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan, and others have all admitted use in the past.
Those are arguably the two biggest names currently in the HOF.

Look at this year.
I doubt anyone needs to be reminded about the Von Erich tragedy.
