State of the Union LD

Too bad that Republicans who work towards immigration reform get censured by their own party.

Okay, just the one that I know of, but when it's John McCain of all people that speaks volumes.

Notice that the GOP didn't move on immigration. If they don't want to ever win a national election again, keep sitting.

Yes but I'm a very blue person in a red state.

He mentioned Kentucky as I was talking about that. Beshear is a very nice guy. I worked for him a few years back.

Gotcha. Just made me chuckle. I'm not even from here, but I'll take these mild winters over what I had to deal with back east.

Obama's got to rank among the greatest orators in American history. No matter whether I agree or disagree with what he says, I can't help but be rapt while he's saying it.

This is all that needs to be seen.

I had my doubts as soon as I saw it was on Yahoo
Same here.

The State of the Union was fairly unremarkable I thought. The official Republican response to the State of the Union was just stupid though. Not once did she mention ANY of the great plans Republicans apparently have. Never did she propose policy or offer a plan.

In order to propose policy or offer a plan, you have to have policy or plan ideas. I'm pretty sure Republicans have no plans right now other than oppose anything Obama is in favor of.

AP wrote it, not Yahoo. One would have to read it to know that, though.

AP isn't too good for much past your basic inverted pyramid story.

The GOP response was the same thing it always was: Obama's policies suck, we won't say how they suck or what we'd do to replace them, jobs jobs jobs, healthcare just isn't working and we have an example of how it isn't but we have no alternative for it, vote GOP!
