Yeah, I know. I'm VERY late to the party on this one. I've revived my Netflix account for finally giving it a try. I know some of you have been recommending it for over 2 years now.

Anything in particular I should be on the lookout for? I'm one episode in as of typing this.

Same boat. It looks interesting enough, just haven't gotten around to starting it yet. Same goes for:

• Game of Thrones
• Walking Dead
• Breaking Bad
• Dexter
• Sons of Anarchy
• Star Trek Enterprise

I have a lot of shit to watch.

The show is fairly average until Aztec Warfare, which I think is episode eight. The first few episodes do a good job of setting up the characters, but nothing really matters until Aztec Warfare.

Two episodes in. Puma and Mundo are great! Sexy Star also impressed me. I'm already hooked. Thanks KJ, Yaz, and the rest who kept recommending it.

Season 1 & 2 Lucha Underground was probably what kept my love of pro-wrestling going. Great matches and even though they kind of threw away a lot of the magic they had they still put out great content. Aztec warfare is great. Angelico, Ivelisse, Son of Havoc versus The Crew (Eps. 29 S01) is a great match. Pentagon Jr. Versus Vampiro in a Cero Miedo match is my favorite from season one(Eps. 39). Mundo vs. Puma (Eps. 32) is an epic. Fenix vs Mil Muertes and their Grave consequences match is one to really pay attention to. Then the return to grave consequences "Graver consequences" where Mil faces off against Matanza is insane. Lot's of good stuff in the first 2 seasons.

Seven episodes in now.

The Ladder match between Mundo, Puma, and Big Ryck was awesome. Sexy Star remains my favorite so far out of the people I hadn't seen before in other federations. Drago and Pentagon have gotten my attention as well. I'm taking it about one episode per day or so. On the lookout for the Aztec Warfare episode that Yaz mentioned. I'm probably getting close if it's not the next one.

How does one enjoy sexy star when she's billed as incredible and overcoming adversity continuously by Striker?

I tend to ignore the commentary. I got so used to doing that with Michael Cole that I must not have noticed that he said it so many times. I like Striker, but again you can thank Cole's inability for that too.

Sexy Star to me was way over exposed on the show. She is good but not great. Big fan of Mil Murtes, Killshot, Pentagon Jr, and The Mack.

I wait for it to come on Netflix too since I do not have cable. Good fun show overall.

I think back when the original episodes were airing, you were onto this way before the rest of us.

She never really faced much adversity until Marty and Maripossa, which was a great match, but Striker, in retrospect, really over did it.

I would have been onto from the start because I hate the whole concept.
1. If you truly believe that women are capable of doing anything then its not an incredible feat.
2. The only thing about her character is thats she is a woman. She's one dimensional and if she had a penis you couldnt do the character, most of the other characters on the show could be applied to both a male or female if you wanted to.
3. The bullshit women can do anything is so overdone by just about every show or movie these days

Was never a fan of Sexy Star right from the off either.

What made Sexy Star's presentation worse by LU and Striker was that they tried so badly to capitalise on the popularity of Bayley and her push to the nxt title which was under way at the time.

It was so blatant and completely not in-keeping with the character (or lack thereof) that Sexy Star had portrayed. As A11oftheLights said, she was claimed as being an underdog with no actual evidence that she was an underdog.

Sweet, that makes six of you !

Is she booked the same way in the rest of the world as she is in LU?

She tries to have that done. Then asks for more money and bails after kicking other women in the face if she doesn't get her way. Then goes online to say she was mistreated and the wrestling community bullies her.

I wish I was making that up.

Remeber her shoot on Rosemary? Makes it seem like she is that way all the time. Crazy part is how she is pushed so hard when she is an average wrestler who's name is sexy star but is neither sex nor a star.
