speaking of steroids, if you go to wwe.com, they now have a long article trying to convince people it had nothing to do with steroids...guess they're trying to protect themselves. they even state that benoit's action were 'deliberate' and that he passed the last wellness check in april.

I can't believe some of you are still holding on to the notion that Benoit is an innocent man in all of this. HE COMMITTED MURDER. Stop ignoring the facts and saying that "well it's not over yet." Yes it is. We pretty much know what happened. Whether he had roid rage and snapped or he just decided hey, what the hell, I'm gonna kill my family and then myself, he still did it. It's sad and hard to believe I know, but the truth is he committed this act. I don't want to believe it myself but we have to accept it.

Yeah, I really REALLY don't want to believe it either but all the major facts are pretty much known by now. We all want to know why but the truth is we will most likely never know why Benoit felt he needed to commit these acts. He may have been the greatest technical wrestler of all time but no one will remember him for that now. He'll just go down as a wrestler who lost it, killed his family and then off'd himself.

We watch these wrestlers ever since we are little and we really believe that Hulk Hogan can take out giants and that Hulk Hogan can end a global war on terrorism just because HULK A MANIA WILL RUN WILD ON YOU...

We thought Chris Benoit was a good family man who commanded respect. He was a very talented wrestler-- however his wrestling skill as of today means nothing. He will forever be remembered in the same vain as O.J. Simpson, Charles Manson, and members of that sacred fraternity of those who committ cold blooded murders. Chris Benoit was crazy. Plain and simple. He had anger issues, and the fact that in 2003 his wife sought a divorce and help re-enforces the fact. Benoit was psychotic and his actions this weekend prove it. I love how people are tryin to make an excuse that he killed his son to not have him endure the loss of two parents.. or whatever. Fact is, he took his son's life. There is no "maybe" no "if" no excuse.

His legacy has forever been altered. He'll be remembered for the cold blooded killer he is and should not be remembered fondly. I cannot mourn Benoit's death anymore.. I can't watch anymore of his matches.. He was nuts and unfortunately he took two innocent people with him.

The WWE has to continue on with business. Perhaps "has to" is the wrong choice of words. But, from a business perspective, issuing a statement to try to distance themselves is to be expected. If they hadn't said anything, it would have made them look like they are hiding something, a cover up of some nature. This is new territory for them, one of their own being accused of a crime this horrific.

There isn't really anything else the WWE can do now. If they keep Benoit on there, it will look like they are giving the thumbs up to a murderer.

Unfortunately, Benoits wrestling legacy is all but gone. It's a damn shame, but the WWE is going to do everything in their power to bury Benoit, and pretend he didn't exist. You'll probably see the Crossface and Diving headbutt on the banned moves list.

With all of the fingers pointing at Benoit, it makes sense for now. Maybe many years down the road, Benoit will get what he deserves as a wrestler, but for now, you have probably heard the last of Chris Benoit on WWE tv.

Benoit will NEVER get the recognition he would've deserved based on in the ring ability because he squandered all of that by killing his wife and his seven year old son. That will not be forgiveable. The WWE is doing the right thing. Pretend he doesn't exist anymore. He doesn't deserve to be praised anymore, i dont care how many ***** matches he may have had.. all of that means nothing now.

He wasn't a hero. Should've never been viewed as one. I admit, when I was a kid, I was all about Hulk Hogan as my "hero" but the truth is, Chris Benoit had demons.. ugly demons.. and he wasn't the great guy we all thought he was. It's a damn shame and ya, it hurts. It just teaches me to show my son that those guys on TV, whether it be baseball players, basketball players, pro wrestlers.. just aren't heroes..

As I said...the darkest day in wrestling. A beloved member of the wrestling community, commits the most reprehensible crime imaginable, the murdering of his own family. I don't know where the WWE goes from here. I do know Benoit was one of Vince's favorites, I wish I knew what was going on inside his, chavo's, malenkos and mysterios mind right now.
