Look everyone their is a lot of work to be done on this. That's all im saying. Things do change when more information comes into play. We all know what it looks like and what they said. I just hope people will keep an open mind about this until all the facts are available.

the fact is mate i'll hold on to hope as long as I want. You may think its all figured out but some things dont add up. the txt msgs, the bibles, reports say mrs benoit was bleeding from the back of the head yet the same reports say she died by strangulation. It does not make any sense. So as i said before, BENOIT IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY!!!!!

Honestly Friggin ECW Champion, like that means anything??? The guy was a former WWE champion. Honestly a step down. If you really look at his career over the last couple years theres no doubt he may have been going throught depression.
Ok, so Benoit is probably a murderer. Nothing adds up right, but ok...
But it's possible (highly unlikely) that maybe he really didn't do it. I mean, there was a girl raped and murdered in her dorm on my campus, and the campus community told all the students that there was no foul play, and to not worry, she just died of some freak heart thing. Then two months later they are arresting some guy for rape, murder, B & E, etc. etc. And they had told us NO FOUL PLAY. They did this, so they say, to lull the murderer into a false sense of security.
Now I highly highly doubt that the Benoit case is anything like what happened at my school, but it IS possible.
So. Be respectful, until we know for 100% sure what is going on. Just because they made a press conference about what they believe doesn't mean it's 100% true until every piece of evidence is gone over by a crime lab, and everything is put into place.

Bilo is right...no matter how many old wrestling DVDs or biographies you read. Benoit will always be remembered more as a coward and a maniac. Especially by non-wrestling fans, which, believe it or not is the majority of the population.

Ok, I rarely post here, mostly just read. I've followed the story since it broke. I watched the press conference on CNN. Maybe they picked the worst possible guy from the sheriff's office to speak to the media, but if he is indicative of the competency level of the people investigating this, I'll wait until all the forensic evidence comes back from the crime lab before saying with 100% certainty that Benoit did this. We don't have a full veiw of the timeline here, first it was Saturday for Nancy, Sunday for Daniel, and Monday for Chris. Now it's Friday for Nancy, Saturday morning for Daniel, and either late Saturday or early Sunday for Chris. If Chris wasn't home on Friday(and I'm not saying one way or the other), that leaves some room for doubt. Until we actually know the timeline for the deaths, Chris's whereabouts in relation to the timeline, and when the text messages were sent in relation to the time of death, there isn't any way to know for sure what happened.
On the subject of the text messages, someone mentioned earlier that sometimes text messages show up quickly or many hours later. That's true, but unless the "sent" folder on Benoit's phone was erased, it should exactly when the messages were sent(at least that's how my phone works).
The most likely scenario is Chris snapped for some reason and killed his family then himself. It is however entirely plausible(while not necessarily likely) that someone was holding Nancy hostage, forced the call to Chris then killed her, then Daniel was killed before Chris came home. Chris comes home, his family is dead, and then he kills himself. I'm not saying that's how it went down, or even that it's likely that it happened that way. It is however one possible scenario that could have unfolded, and until we know a more exact timeline as well as other facts it's impossible to say with absolute certainty what happened.

As of now, Benoit is guilty and that's a terrible thing to say. Unless something else is found or comes out exonerating him, we have to accept what has happened. It is a terrible tragedy and a woman, 7 yr old child and one of our former heroes is dead. Absolutey and utterly sickening.

IMO, he did do it, im not gonna try to fight against facts, though i am a huge benoit fan, and even though he did this, im still a fan of him in the ring, what he did was unforgivable, and though in person he might be a piece of shit, i respect him as one of the best wrestlers there ever was, and R.I.P to his family

Fact is let's say Benoit didn't do it why would he just come home and hang himself. Not call the cops or any of that. That is just bullshit. I would have given him the benefit of the doubt if it was say all done with a gun and the gun was placed in his hand or something. But where he took his own life it really has no other way of adding up then him killing the family. especially with the personal reasons phone call and text msgs.
