Speculation Regarding the Death of Chris Benoit

To me this sounds like there was someone else in the house holding them hostage and offing them one at a time and made to look like a murder-suicide

I have read a lot that Nancy died on Saturday, Daniel died on Sunday and Benoit killed himself on Monday. On Raw Chavo stated that he spoke to Benoit on Sunday so he can't have died on Saturday.

I can't believe this has happened. When I watched RAW last night I was in a state of shock that Benoit was dead but now it seems that this is the story, I have no sympathy at all. I bet JR wishes he could take back his quote from RAW to Benoits other kids about him being a great man.

They said there were no signs of anyone else being in the house and they confirmed that he did it.

They confirmed that they DIDN"T BELIEVE there was anyone else but the possibility still exists because now you have a definitive timeline

Nancy was killed SOMETIME on Friday
Chris got a message Friday about a family emergency
Chris left Texas Friday NIGHT for home
Danny was killed Sat morning
Chris died Sat NightIf someone

Topped with the fact Nancy's hands and feet were bound he probably got called by a coerced Nancy to lure him home and then spent 24 hours in terror.

I'm sorry and anyone can agree or disagree with me if they'd like to because IMO, WWE is at fault for some of this while I'm watching this news conference. What happened to the steroid bans when Eddie Guerrero died? What happened to the testing to make sure that their athletes weren't doing this to themselves? What happened to WWE actually caring about their superstars? They've pulled Chris Benoit's merchandise, tributes and what not off of the website... why? I think it's because they found out that steroid could've played part in this tragic event and want nothing to do with the questions that might be asked. They're trying to cover their ass before anything else develops. Atleast that's how I feel.

I'm really confused. Pope said Nancy died sometime Friday but Chris didn't even go home until Friday night and probably stumbled upon her and her attacker. There apparently was a struggle and someone bound her hands and feet. This sounds really suspicious I don't think Chris did this. Why the hell would he bind her hands and feet?? Makes NO sense

Guys, it is way to early to be blanketing Chris Benoit is a murderer. For fuck sake, what happened to innocent until proven guilty.

Sure, the signs point to it, but you never fucking know. For all we know, this might be a half assed police investigation because they think it is open and shut.

The Details concerning the deaths are sketch at best. If it is proven that Nancy died on Friday, but Benoit was in Texas on Saturday, what then? Don't be so quick to cast out judgment. Wait for this damn thing to take shape and then pass judgment.

No, I think they removed Benoit things because he MURDERED his wife and child. WWE is not to blame for this, Benoit is.

ya im confused, I dont even think they really know what happened, I mean this is what they have, until the house is searched for motives, texts are recovered, and exact times of everything are in place, this is the most reasonable way to explain how the deaths happened. but something had to happen besides roids rage here.

Chris didn't even leave Texas until Friday night. Nancy was killed SOMETIME on Friday.

News conference notes from Fayetteville, GA:

From: WGGL shown on Fox News

- Lt. Pope: WWE called police officials at 2:30PM on Monday over concern for Benoit’s well being. Police found all three bodies in the home. “Double Homicide Suicide” is the official ruling.

- It appears Benoit killed his wife on Friday, his son shortly after, and likely hanged himself either late Saturday night or early Sunday.

- No suicide note was left behind.

- Asphyxiation is the official ruling for Benoit’s wife and son deaths.

- Benoit was previously arrested for a DUI.

- A lot of prescription medication was found in the home, legal prescriptions.

- Police found anabolic steroids in the home.

- No comment from police regarding a possible motivation.

- He killed himself several hours, but no more than a day, after killing son Daniel.

- Police is unaware of prior domestic violence.

- District Attorney Scott Ballard stated that a Bible was placed near each murder victim.

- Benoit bond Nancy’s hands and feet and she was wrapped in a towel. Blood was found near Nancy’s body.

- In 2003, a temporary restraining order was sought but later dropped.

- Benoit made no attempt to hide the bodies.

- The DA himself has not heard from WWE.

- Daniel was found in an upstairs bedroom. Benoit’s wife was also found in an upstairs family room, and Benoit hung himself in the weight room in the basement.

- The toxicology reports are still pending. It will probably take more than two weeks for the reports to be finished.

- Benoit apparently called WWE stating that Daniel was coughing up blood, thus likely the “personal reasons” for missing weekend house shows.

You can still hold on for hope if you want, we all know by now that Benoit did it. They're the professionals so I'll listen to them. The guy who held the press conference was telling us what he was told. You can think it was half-assed all you want, the truth has been let out.

You can't get a definitive time on a text message. I have gotten texts 20 hours after they were sent and I have also gotten them within minutes. They are unreliable for most cell phones as far as getting them the minute they are sent depending on your connectivity

Everyone is saying Benoit is a piece of shit, and Benoit isnt a man and etc. But why cant anyone recognize him for what he was famous for? He was famous for wrestling, not murdering his family. I understand this is a speculation thread, and people have emotions running high after a wrestling great has passed in the most brutal of manners, but he should be given credit for his undevoted dedication to the business and his overall talent. I might be the only one thinking this, but my Benoit avatar and my Benoit sig will stay where they are. Not because i feel like being an asshole and pissing everyone off like other people on here, but because the man was a legend in the ring, the man was utterly devoted to his business, and as far as i see the man was leaps and bounds ahead of competetion in the ring. Again, I know this is a speculation thread, and i speculate he is a murderer, but a great wrestler.
