Speculation Regarding the Death of Chris Benoit

if benoit did this he can burn straight in hell. How in the blue hell can you kill your wife and seven year old son, YOUR FREAKIN SEVEN YEAR OLD SON, that you supposedly love so much. It makes me sick to my stomach last night i was out of it because i thought he and his family had been murdered, but now i find out he strangled his wife and smothered his young son in his bed, then hung himself like a little pussy. If you have a problem and are having thoughts like that, you know what you can do instead of killing people? Walk out the front door, open your car door, drive down to the nearest help center, get out of your car, walk inside and get some help, plain and simple

I said it before Xfear, if this was a steroid case, we can expect some releases very, very soon...
I want to see if Mysterio says something about this when he returns...he's very emotional, but i think from now on, everyone musto go on like if nothing really happened....this of course, is the saddest thing. Poor WWE, they are in a deep shit-hole....

Guys it makes sense now: Nancy call Benoit to the office to break the news of her divorce petition. he killed her in an act of rage...he then leaves the body there and lock the office..spend the day with his son like thinking about what he did...Then he killed his son as a act of him being scare....then his concience kills him...

The divorce petition was filed and dropped in 2003, unless you think she filed a new one, which we have no evidence of.

I sincerely hope that they continue to mention Benoit on WWE tv this week, even with the news coming out that he killed his family and himself, still, don't treat us fans like we're fucking idiots, we know Benoit died, and for you to have programming as normal and not mention it, is so insulting I can't even fathom it. Have the balls to mention what is already known by almost all wrestling fans worldwide. If WWE acts as though Chris Benoit never existed, I can't even fathom how angry I will be. The man may be a murdering piece of crap, but if they stop showing his matches on WWE 24/7 I'll be pissed. Anyways, remember atleast this isn't the first wrestler to murder, a wrestler murdered Bruiser Brody in the 80s in Puerto Rico and got away with it. Not very well known to younger fans probably.

What I want to find out most is,

What did Benoit say in the text messages to friends on Sunday?
and What was the real reason Benoit had to fly home from Texas, prompting him to murder his family? The fact that he flew home proves that this was not premeditated murder. :(

A divorce petition doesn't seem likely. Even though a divorce is serious, I doubt his wife would call him and have him fly home before a house show to break the news to him.. logically wouldn't she wait until after he got home from the show?

Jonny, It's your right to ramble incoherently.

But can you atleast try to not capitlize every first letter?

Its Killing My Eyes.

Thanks Buddy.

+1

this is really going to hurt the WWE, they really are stuck between a rock and a hard place. You know that some assholes are going to be holding up f*cked up signs about Benoit. They can't just ignore it.

I think the real problem here will be that WWE did a tribute show about him before this came out. You know if the media is going to want to attack the WWE they will use that for fuel to shut it down or turn families away from it.

No i mean maybe benoit was at his house for the day i dont know how wrestler schedule work and then she called benoit to their house office(where she was found) and broke the news there maybe for more of a private conversation between the two...but i dont know...

I'd like it if everyone stopped playing CSI by trying to peice together a murder scene you've never seen and never will see. Let's stick to storylines, that's what we are good at.

Nobody cares if it "all makes sense to you now." It doesn't make sense. None of it, and it never will. In never makes sense to take the life of another, especially a child. So please, you David Caruso wannabes, spare me. If this is how you cope, then I am glad I am not you.

I dont see how WWE can be blamed for this, it's the same principle of say Joe Schmo works for i dunno, Burger King for example. He goes home kills his family. Are Burger King to blame because they are his employers? Not really. It's the same here, it's not WWE's fault all this happened, they only employed Benoit, they didnt go to him and say 'Benoit, this week go home and kill your family, and when ur done kill yourself'. So for that WWE are completely innocent this time

hey is my opinion i can say whatever i want buddy...Everyone is doing the same thing! so take a chill pill if you dont wanna hear then get out of this forum then...

I am just in shock. I was a huge wrestling fan in the mid 90's and those matches with Malenko and him were outstanding. I still remember the best of 7 match with Booker. I thought it was a bit much, but he proved me wrong. You can never get bored watching one of his matches!!!

I can't remember who said it last night..."He couldn't talk, but he was a hell of a wrestler." That was the absolute truth. His wrestling skills made up for everything else.

I don't want to believe he murdered them, and I will wait for the final report.

This is absolutely horrible. The fact that Benoit committed this dispicable act is unreal. I feel saddened and angered at the same time. I hope there is an answer for why he did this, although it will never be excusable. One of my heroes has committed the worst act possible and nothing will ever be the same again. Terrible, just terrible.

I disagree. A few people will probably say this, but I think alot of people will understand that it was probably the honorable thing to do. The Chairman realizes a top, veteran is dead so he gives him a tribute show. Which brings us back into the whole debate we already had about the character and the man. His in ring legacy vs his personal life. Should his in ring ability still be honored because of a serious mistake he made? Or should his legacy be punished for it?

It's basically a big mess.

Personally, I think something was going on with him. For whatever reason he did this in an act of desperation, had a guilty conscience then offed himself.

What also bothers me is the early posts saying, "I'm praying that the wife did it, then chris hung himself!"

Like that would make anything any better lol..

The fact of the matter is that three people have died.

We lost a veteran and a legend, a former valet, and a son that had barely gotten to live.

But back to the topic at hand.. Speculation.

I speculate that he was going through a rough time, which I hope to find out. I think he killed his wife then realized he had to kill the rest, went back to TX with a guilty conscience, flew home, then finished the job.

But either way, it's a tough world.

My prayers.

-Tang.

I totally agree, but if this turns out to be steroid issue the shits really going to hit the fan between the WWE and the media

Irish, if you want to be "spared", then why enter a speculation thread? You're right, none of us will ever fully understand why exactly Benoit may have murdered his family. But, everything happens for a reason, and for many of us, especially big fans of Benoit (including myself), want to at least get an idea of why something so tragic could happen to a seemingly wonderful person and his family.

As a side note...wweshop.com has removed all of his merchandise this is very very sad people one of my favorite wrestlers ever to go out like this is just nuts.....

sorry man, but this thread is named SPECULATION thread about Benoit, maybe some people are over reacting to the news, but let them be. I just speculated about a possible cause of death (steroids) and i'm not David Carusso. So, chill out and wait for more news, just as the rest of us. :)

Although it's despicable what he done, i think i would have had a bit more respect for him as a person if he didnt go out the cowards route and faced the conceqiences (or however it's spelt, lol) of his crime like a man.

watch fox news apparenmtly there is supposed to be a press conference on the whole benoit situation by the police. im not sure when though as they wernt that specific

I definitely see what you're saying, but I don't think this is likely. He would have had to kill his wife, fly to Texas leaving the son alone with the wife's body, then fly back out and spend another day with the son before killing him. This doesn't seem like a probably scenario as surely the son would have found his mother's body while Benoit was gone, and I wouldn't think Benoit would have been dumb enough to leave him there like that.

This whole case is just so bizarre.

Jeremy, you make a fair point, and I accept it. Far better construction than wordvivo's peer pressure arguement. I don't know man, I just think it's going too far. People at computers trying to extrapolate where he was at what times and such. But you are right, maybe I am in the wrong place for this feeling. I just think we should be focusing on what we know, and keep our fantasizing to the storylines.

But don't get the wrong idea- you're right about what you say.
