Speculation Regarding the Death of Chris Benoit

this situation seems stranger all the time. i would love for the police to come out and say they are looking for someone else but i think this would already have happened if they had evidence.

however i do believe if the wikapedia info is true someone (maybe wwe) knows more than they have disclosed

Well, despite the fact that I don't believe there is a third party, I think the "killer" would monitor what Benoit was texting, stopping from sending such messages to friends. Otherwise he'd probably be the worst killer in history. As it is, he's not doing a great job - he can't even manage to exist for crying out loud!

While i'm pretty positive Benoit did this, there are something that do remain very questionable.

1. The Wikipedia thing, it's just kinda creepy that some kid would put that up jokingly, but happen to live in Stamford, Ct.

2. The Text Messages: If Benoit was as hammered as he reportedly is, how the hell did he do those text messages with no spelling check. I know for one, if i'm that drunk, I'm not spelling everything out, i'm usng shrt cts lke dis.

3. A Statuette of Benoit next to Daniel: That's just fucking weird. Now it could have been a toy the kid had, but if someone put a toy of Benoit next to him, that's saying, Hey that Chris Benoit did it. If Benoit did do it, and then place a figure of himself there, I am convinced without a doubt he had a huge mental problem.

The "It's not Benoit because he didn't leave a note" is not a good argument.. remember he was a quiet, introverted person who always kept all his problems very secret. He didn't leave a note because that's just him continuing to keep his problems to himself.

Also remember, texting on cell phones, most of the time the cell phones have automatic spellcheck and t9 predictive text, which could explain why his text messages were spelt correctly.

Wouldn' t think someone who killed their family first before suicide would leave a note, as it would look pretty self evident why he commited suicide. And not heard of many murderers leaving notes to explain their crimes.

WIKIPEDIA

"News of Nancy Benoit's death was inexplicably posted on Wikipedia 14 hours before the police discovered the bodies. This was initially reported on Wikinews and later on FOXNews.com. The original posting reads: “Chris Benoit was replaced by Johnny Nitro for the ECW Championship match at Vengeance, as Benoit was not there due to personal issues, stemming from the death of his wife Nancy.” The phrase "stemming from the death of his wife Nancy" was added to the English Wikipedia's "Chris Benoit" article at 12:01 a.m. EDT on June 25,[107] whereas the Fayette County police reportedly discovered the bodies of the Benoit family at 2:30 p.m. EDT (14 hours, 29 minutes later). The IP address of the editor was traced to Stamford, Connecticut, which is also the location of WWE headquarters.[108] After news of the early death notice reached mainstream media, the anonymous poster accessed Wikinews to explain his seemingly prescient comments as a "huge coincidence and nothing more".[

This wikipedia thing is very weird. I've noticed they've suspended posting about benoit due to vandalism.

Strikes me as strange that if there was a note posted on wikipedia about the death of Nancy, 14 hours before the police found the body, no one picked up on it.

Could it be that either all of the above posting from wikipedia is the result of a hoax? (have no idea how it works)

or Is it possible that whowever posted the part about benoit being replaced by nitro due to his wife's death actually posted it after the events but found some way to pre-date it so it looked like it was done before?

Either way it dosen't really make Benoit look any more innocent in my opinion, but perhaps someone else new about it.

I don't think the Wikipedia editor really knew of the crime, otherwise he would have known that Chris and Daniel were also dead. It is a strange coincidence but these things do happen.

I believe the statement in that it was a tragic coincidence. To be honest, it makes the most sense for it to be a lucky - or, as it turned out, unlucky - guess. Saying it is anything more is just creating contorversy where there is none.

Question:How did someone get in the house? Both Benoit and the dogs are there. The house has a gate.People may have to be let in.Someone gets in the house but Benoit being a wrestler.Doesn't fight them. The person that gets in the house stays over night. With Benoit in the house.Kill Benoit's wife and waits around to kill his son. Then the person hangs Benoit in the basement. The whole time this other person is killing the other two people in the house. The person lets Benoit text his friends. But Benoit forgets to say in the texts message.Oh someone is killing my family.

Going back to the Kevin Sullivan Accusation. Ex husband stopping by to see the new house. No forced entry. Benoit Drugged. Im not saying it did happend and dont want to blame kevin its just strange, ex wife Nancy Benoit and ex wife Sensational sherri. You cannot say that it shouldn't raise an eyebrow. It does tie together the text messages, the having to rush home from being on the road for a family emergency, the fact Nancy was tied up, and people have been murdered by hanging a time or two. Expecially when trying to make it look like a suicide. Chris was on top Kevin was washed up. Kevin openly never liked Chris. And everyone says why would Chris kill his son that he loved so much. Well with the "No witnesses" Concept Kevin would have to kill his kid. Lays some beer cans and wine bottles around. Its textbook set up. Someone is in on it with Sullivan and rights the info from stanford conneticut to wikipedia not thinking, just knowing the wife was dead and not informed about chris yet. Im sure Sullivan knows people that work for the WWE.
----(Sullivan is among those blamed for the 2000 departure of Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, Eddie Guerrero and Perry Saturn from WCW, though by no direct action of his own. After the departure of Eric Bischoff and Vince Russo, the resulting chaos led to Sullivan's promotion to head booker. This move infuriated a number of WCW wrestlers, given Sullivan's history of professional rivalries (notably Benoit) and poor decisions. Sullivan booked Benoit to win the WCW title at Souled Out 2000 in a desperate attempt to quell the uprising, but Benoit, Malenko, Guerrero and Saturn would quit the night after, immediately signing with the WWF. Sullivan would be fired before WCW's sale in 2001.)

Im not saying Benoit didn't do it but Ive seen the story done a million times on tv and movies. Not that hard to believe. Just as weird of a story as the one we know.

The following is from Wikipedia.com:

The anonymous individual responsible for suggesting, 14 hours before police discovered the body, that WWE wrestler Chris Benoit's wife was dead is confessing, saying his/her comment was a "terrible coincidence."

In a post made at 12:26 AM EDT Friday morning to the talk page of a Wikinews article headlined as the "Death of Nancy Benoit rumour posted on Wikipedia hours prior to body being found", the user admitted to writing that Nancy Benoit was dead at the Wikipedia article page for Benoit came from information that was garnered from "rumors and speculation online." Freakishly, the post turned out to be true.

The IP Address of the individual making the apology was identical to that of the one who posted the Nancy Benoit rumor, a strong confirmation of the admission's authenticity. The lengthy apology was not signed, with the individual claiming, "I am just an everyday individual who posted a wrongful remark at the time that received so much attention because it turned out to actually happen."

Wikinews originally broke the story about the suspicious edit after receiving a tip from Wikipedia administrators. The fact the edit originated from a computer in Stamford, CT (the site of WWE headquarters) appears to be another coincidence.

The anonymous editor left a lengthy apology to the Wikimedia community, explaining, "I hope this puts an end to this speculation that someone knew about the tragedy before it was discovered."

Wikinews is continuing to follow the story, but the anonymous user has declined an interview.

Below is the full, unedited apology:

"... Hey everyone. I am here to talk about the wikipedia comment that was left by myself. I just want to say that it was an incredible coincidence. Last weekend, I had heard about Chris Benoit no showing Vengeance because of a family emergency, and I had heard rumors about why that was. I was reading rumors and speculation about this matter online, and one of them included that his wife may have passed away, and I did the wrong thing by posting it on wikipedia to spite there being no evidence. I posted my speculation on the situation at the time and I am deeply sorry about this, and I was just as shocked as everyone when I heard that this actually would happen in real life. It is one of those things that just turned into a huge coincidence. That night I found out that what I posted, ended up actually happening, a 1 in 10,000 chance of happening, or so I thought. I was beyond wrong for posting wrongful information, and I am sorry to everyone for this. I just want everyone to know it was stupid of me, and I will never do anything like this again. I just posted something that was at that time a piece of wrong unsourced information that is typical on wikipedia, as it is done all the time.

Nonetheless, I feel incredibly bad for all the attention this got because of the fact that what I said turned out to be the truth. Like I said it was just a major coincidence, and I will never vandalize anything on wikipedia or post wrongful information. I've learned from this experience. I just can't believe what I wrote was actually the case, I've remained stunned and saddened over it.

I wish not to reveal my identity so I can keep me and my family out of this since they have nothing to do with anything. I am not connected to WWE or Benoit at all in anyway. I am from Stamford as the IP address shows, and I am just an everyday individual who posted a wrongful remark at the time that received so much attention because it turned out to actually happen. I will say again I didn't know anything about the Benoit tragedy, it was a terrible coincidence that I never saw coming.

I hope this puts an end to this speculation that someone knew about the tragedy before it was discovered. It was just a rumor that I had heard about from other people online who were speculating what the family emergency Chris was attending to. I made a big mistake by posting this comment on his page, since all we had were what we thought was going on and nothing about what actually was going on yet, and sadly what happened turned out to be my speculation at the time. I assumed wiki would edit out my information, which they did, so thats why I didn't go back to edit it out myself.

I know I keep repeating it but I feel terrible about the mainstream coverage this has received, since it was only a huge coincidence and a terrible event that should of never happened. I am not sure how to react, as hearing about my message becoming a huge part of the Benoit slayings made me feel terrible as everyone believes that it is connected to the tragedy, but it was just an awful coincidence. That is all I have to say, I will never post anything here again unless it is pure fact, no spam nothing like that. Thank you, and let this end this chapter of the Benoit story, and hopefully one day we will find out why this tragedy ever actually happened."

This is what I thought happened and I am not surprised by this. Some guy just got bored and decided to make up shit about the Benoit "Family Emergency" but it turned out to be true.

This pretty much ends speculations on somebody else doing the crime because this was the most bizarre thing that came out of the whole situation.

not all speculations now about the speculation of a man that has 2 dead ex wifes in 2 weeks period. It is annonomous. and do you have the link to the quote by chance?

http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Chris_Benoit_mystery_editor_confesses:_claims_"terrible_coincidence"

^^^ That's the link.

About the Kevin Sullivan theory. It does seem strange that both his ex-wives died in a two week period and he did have a hatred against Benoit, but my concern is: was he close to the Atlanta, Georgia area? If he does not live far from that area than he definitely should be investigated, but from what I have known he lives miles away from the Benoit residence, unless he took a flight there and back. If he took a flight, it would be documented and the investigators would know that by now. I really don't think Sullivan had anything to do with this.

Good point. He lives in Florida. Now lets put our detective hats on and find out where he was that weekend! His gym is Froggy's Fitness in the florida keys. Does anyone have the balls and ask questions. hmmmm

Wow...
I'm almost at a lost for words, I was hoping the Wikipedia psychic would be a dumbass that actually was confessing to the murders, ha.
Yes, I'm still trying to hold on to the fact that Chris Benoit didn't do this heinous crime, when I'm probably wrong.
Now.. I do have a q question, I read this on here and just wanted to know where the info was posted.
Someone mentioned that Benoit left a stautette near his son's body?? That's new to me, but lately I've been trying to back away and just wait till the investigation is over before I read more into it.
Right now.. I'm thinking Benoit did it but like someone mentioned there's always this tiny 1% that he didn't.

HHH angle...I am the same way. I was in disbelif for 2 days. Then when I finally realized that a huge Idol of mine turned into a piece of shit and murdered his family started to move my head back on track and moved on with my life. Then the wikipedia thing...then the Kevin Sullivan link. Now im back to wanting to make sure of the truth.

I might have mentioned this before, but I don't think Kevin Sullivan is in any condition to perform such a flawless crime. He's a lot older now and not in the best shape. Top that off with being in a different state at the time of the crimes, and it eliminates any possibility of Sullivan as the culprit.

Tell that to rick Flair. He is older than Sullivan and I would beg to differ that someone, no matter what the age, are strong enough to do this. Im in ok shape and I would belive that Flair could whoop my ass at 60. And I dont know about flawless. The police has not released everything they know. all we would need is one fingerprint or one strand of hair. Its just something to question. And you have no idea where he was that weekend. So you cant say he wasn't there.

About this Kevin Sullivan theory, you guys need to remember that Kevin Sullivan hadn't seen or spoken to Benoit or Nancy since 96, 97. Thats a decade. He had moved on, got a new wife, owns his own business( a gym I believe right?) and is living a happy new life. So why the hell would he come over to Atlanta to see their house? Oh and the house wasn't new, Benoit had owned it for years before. So it doesn't make sense why a man who had moved on from the split with Nancy and had severed all ties with her would just stop by one day saying "Hey there, just came by to say hello or check out the house!". People are only bringing Sullivan's name into this because of his falling out with Nancy, he may play a crazy motherfucker on TV, but Kevin Sullivan did not do, no way in hell. There would be some sort of shred of evidence that he did it, yet there's nothing. All evidence points to Benoit. Give it maybe two weeks before everyone here finally admits Benoit did it.

No not at all. We are bringing him up because of his ex...Nancy and his ex...Sheri. BOTH DEAD IN A 2 week period. And the fact he lost his job with WCW because of Benoit leaving to WWF and the heat the two had durring the WCW days. And is it laid to rest? who knows. You wouldn't think Chris would have been called home from being on the road for a murder murder suicide either.

And Im not saying Benoit didn't do it. Im just saying that its a strange story and the link to Sullivan, or anyone for that matter would make sence of the things that didn't make sence. Such as, Why was nancy tied up? Why did he kill his son that he loved so much? Why would he send out messages on how to get in his home? Why was he called home from being on the road? All of these things would make sence if the family was being held hostage.

Maybe something happened to Sullivan in his recent life that made him snap. Kill off his ex wifes and families that burned him in the past.

The room is called Speculations to the Benoit case.....

Is it hard to believe (if confirmed the time of deaths) that Nancy killed Daniel? I could be wrong, but is the times of death being disputed anymore, or is it completely proven that Nancy died first?

Without a shadow of a doubt, med examiners on the scene observed body temps and decomposition that proved she did die first. Everyone needs to stop questioning what professionals tell us. It leads to speculation. You will end up like this mystery wiki editor, who went along with rumors he had heard, and went and posted it on Wiki. In one crazt coincidence, it ended up happening a little later.

It wasn't that I was questioning what the "professionals" told us, it had just been brought up recently and I wasnt aware of the final statement.
