South Park Season 15 discussion

"Nothing beats a blowjob on football sunday". Broadway Bro-down was IMO the best we've seen this season, Larry Feegan is my new favorite character, the song that he sings for shelly had me dying.

1% was pretty funny, I loved that Cartman had to kill off his stuffed animals through Polly Prissypants in order to grow up. But I'm still recovering from all the laughing I did while watching Bro-down

This weeks episode:
You know how those History Channel specials use reenactments to dramatize events in history? And how sometimes those efforts make the events seem a little less than historical?

Well, Trey Parker and Matt Stone noticed too. This week's "South Park," called "A History Channel Thanksgiving," spoofs the phenomenon.

In the episode, the boys watch a Thanksgiving special on The History Channel that convinces them aliens were involved in the original Thanksgiving feast. But, as Comedy Central reports, "questions remain: was the first Thanksgiving dinner haunted? Is alien technology responsible for stuffing? The truth could change Thanksgiving for everyone."

Tonight's episode didn't quite live up to the standard that the rest of the recent episodes have set. Had a few funny moments and the history channel angle was funny but in general in was a pretty forgettable episode. :disappointed:

That was hilarious, if you watch ancient aliens you realise how spot on they got it.

It's just missing George T!

And I forgot there was a Dune reference and a giant shot taken on Green Lantern, pretty good episode.

I missed the other two planets they had on the map but apparently one was from Starvin Marvin in space.

Another hilarious episode to end what was a great season. I thoroughly enjoyed every episode of the second half.

Great episode. This was definitely my favorite episode of the season. I really thought the adoptive, abusive, agnostic parents were a really creative thought and although SP could not answer my spiritual misunderstandings regarding Dr. Pepper, I feel better knowing that I am not alone in my dilemna.

But could someone explain to me if there was any significance to Kenny being eaten by a giant bird? Was it just a new way to kill him and bring back an old gag (and make Cartman the poorest kids at school again) or was there something about the giant bird that I should have picked up on from an earlier reference?

Earlier on the Agnostic parent says something like "There could be a God or there could be a giant reptilian bird". Generally Kenny gets killed once a season.

I loved how quick Cartman changed after that. I loved the mocking of how Cartman says stuff.

Apparently the foster family were called the weatherheads (Leslie weatherhead was a christian agnostic: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leslie_Weatherhead)

The exact quote is:

"There is no point in believing in a deity that created the Universe and we do not as a people know what or who created everything. It could be a giant reptilian bird that controls everything, but that is not certain, so do not mock it."

I hope we see Mr Adams again but use it with different things going on.
