So will they forget that Bryan and Brie are married?

When Bryan was hurt, they used Brie to keep him going. Had her often lead the "yes!" chant. Had Stephanie constantly pick on her. They contantly brought Bryan's name up all summer in that feud, which kind've made it feel like he was still around a bit even though he wasn't.

Then Brie randomly turned heel for no reason with zero explanation. One week she was Nikki's unwilling servent.....the next week she was her buddy again.

Now Bryan is back. So are we supposed to forget that he and Brie are married? Will they keep them completely separate on TV?

No one was going to forget Bryan. They just took advantage of his popularity (and rightfully so) to advance Brie and Steph. It worked in some ways and failed in others.

And yes, they are likely going to ignore Brie and Bryan's relationship. We will all have to assume that they are keeping their personal and professional life separate. It is annoying but we also some how buy that matches conveniently never end during a commercial break on live TV.

@GSB, How great would not only a match ending but a title change during a break? People would be beyond pissed. Hilarious!

They will let the Rumble play out and then revisit the Bryan and Brie saga. Eventually they will need his star power to make her relevant again. She has been cutting interviews about his return on dot com and the app.

It's happened on an episode of RAW, where a match ended abruptly during one of the commercial breaks, and they replayed the ending when they returned. Whether it was a legitimate mistake no one knows, but yea it was a piss off. Commercial breaks are too long during the matches and should really stop. Kind of a pain when they get back to the action and everything has changed around, and your wondering what the hell happened. Of course it's replayed for you, but it's not the same.

Regarding the Daniel Bryan Brie Bella situation. There was no need to bring up their relationship on RAW. No one forgot about Daniel Bryan when he was gone, and it was a cheap way to keep his wife relevant. I watched one episode of Total Diva's just to see what the fuss was about, and it was almost all about them as they were planning their wedding at the time.

If you think about it it's kind of ridiculous that most times they ignore the relationships on the actual shows, Nikiki Bella/John Cena, Brie Bella/Daniel Bryan, yet Total Diva's is all about that.

I guess we are suppose to forget or just not think about it. It is kind of a joke the way they are playing the Nicki and Brie story out, Nicki hates Brie, Nicki makes Brie look like a fool by being her slave. Then Brie is Nicki's best friend again, so this Brie is the same one who is talking about her husbands return. I felt sorry for Brie and at the same time thought she was cute, but when she went back to being Nicky's best friend she get's on my nerves. The same thing is happening with John (face) and Nicki (heel), well it seems a bit different because Brie and Daniel's relationship is out in the open. They will probably have Brie turn her back on Nicki and face her for the Title at WM31, you love to hate the twins when they are heels but when they turn face it is tough to like them.

With talk of acknowledging these relationships I just had a very terrifying thought. Cena will seemingly do anything for the E and if pushed we might get a wedding headlining a major event. Match Made in Heaven - Match Made in Hell II featuring John and Nikki saying I do.

Cena-Nikki is different though because they're not even married(right?) and their relationship has never been openly acknowledged on TV....let alone made the focal point of a big storyline.

Making Brie/Bryan's relationship part of the storylines may not have been the best decision......you can't just expect people to completely forget it. But with Bryan back, Brie would just get in the way if they were to put them together on screen.

And I agree, the Bellas make terrible faces. Brie isn't a good heel either. She served a purpose as Stephanie's and then later on Nikki's whipping girl. Beyond that.....she brings nothing to the table.

The only way that should EVER even be considered is if Cena goes heel, and they want to really piss everyone off by trolling them with an obnoxious Cena-Nikki wedding. That might work as the smarks and marks alike would absolutely hate it for different reasons.

Anything else? No way.

If Cena and Bryan were to feud again, I think that would be the only time that the Bellas would be involved on with their men on tv. Nikki and Brie at eachothers throats about who is better.

Other than that, I don't expect they'll ever make much mention of Bryan and Brie again and certainly not John and Nikki.

Will they ignore it? Probably but, all things considered, isn't that a good thing?

I mean, all most of us do about the Divas are bitch about what a waste of time they are due to Vince McMahon being either unable or unwilling to use them in meaningful ways. When Brie was part of Bryan's storyline with Kane, most of us derided the slasher horror film angle that was going on, rightly so because it was lousy, so why draw attention to the fact that Brie's currently a heel when it's not necessary? John Cena's been banging Nikki Bella for the better part of 3 years now and they haven't used that fact in any meaningful way.

Brie's worked hard to improve her game and she can and has put on some decent matches. As I said, however, Vince either isn't interested in having the women of the main roster advanced to the point of being relevant female competitors, he doesn't know how to, doesn't want anyone who might know how to go a head and do so or whatever. So, as a result, keep Brie apart from Bryan and don't let his career momentum be dragged down.

I think the only way Brie becomes a relevant aspect of Bryan storylines is if he and Cena begin feuding, which could bring Nikki into things as she's involved with Cena. Personally, I'd love if Cena & Bryan feuded at some point, but I'd love it even more of all the "Total Diva" bullshit was left completely out of it. If they wanna use it as part of the plot for an upcoming season of Total Divas, then that's fine; just keep that shit off WWE television so we can have a proper feud without all that soap opera garbage mucking things up.

It's odd to me that sometimes WWE will acknowledge real life relationships/Total Divas stuff such as Tyson Kidd and Natalya being married and make it part of a storyline/angle, same with Brie and DB, yet have Nikki flirting with Tyson Kidd. WWE creative have done a woeful job of storytelling, providing sensible explanations for heel/face turns (if any explanation at all) and in-turn have done a fantastic job treating us like idiots with selective memory syndrome.

The examples that come to my mind off the top of my head are booking Dean Ambrose to totally forget about Seth Rollins and focus solely on Bray Wyatt, after making it his mission to make Rollins life a living hell. Reigns and Ambrose not being booked in more matches together post-Shield split. Ambrose laid down promos talking about how Reigns was his best friend and that they'd still have each other's backs and both wanted a piece of Rollins, but we've not seen them in the same ring for a long time. I know Reigns health issues may have been a part of that, but I personally loved Ambrose and Reigns working together. Erick Rowan turning face with absolutely zero explanation or build, just randomly pushed into a hole that needed filling. Brie randomly turning heel and supporting her sister after a feud between them that dragged on for a longggggggg time. Then cutting a babyface promo backstage after Daniel Bryan's Royal Rumble announcement? Wow.

Another heel turn for Big Show/Mark Henry which literally nobody gives a damn about. Last one I can think of before this gets too long, Alicia Fox now teaming with the babyface divas in pointless tag-team matches after a semi-successful heel run where she built a little momentum for herself, the whole psycho bitch angle where she taunted the crowd/announcers/ringside crew etc. Whether it's a Total Divas thing I dunno. Only thing I can think of is because Paige turned on her. Regardless, the lazy booking has been too prevalent this year, and it's a shame.

Thats WWE logic. :)

And no, after he comes back full time and they decide for Brie to turn on Nikki they will probably accnowledge it again. ;)

I think Brie will forget anout the marriage. While she might have a kind side to her, I think Bryan is a novelty. Her overwhelming personality is that of a trashy partygirl. That's what's she's been since early adulthood, the girl who we've heard enjoyed casual sex, anal sex, threesomes involving her sister and other nasty stuff. Sooner or later that side of her will come back to the fore, because we can never change who we truly are at our core.

Except on Total Divas.

I am sad I know that, all I know about TD comes from the OSW review, I swear.

/thread

I mean the fact that Undertaker burned down his house and killed his parents and Kane still teams up with Taker or when The Rock threw Austin off the bridge and now they respect each other shows how little WWE cares about logic.

But Brie and Bryan marriage may be acknowledged from time to time just like when Austin's marriage to Debra was conveniently needed
