Fuck erbody but me
I'm really becoming a fan of this guy. I am geniunely pleased with the progression he has made since his stint in WWE. He get's better every week, in every way. He is improving his mic skills by miles, and the dude is pretty fun to watch in the ring. In this thread, I not only want your thoughts on Matt Morgan, I'm curious what you think Vince thinks when and if he sees the progress he's made. Do you think the E wants him? Do you think he could succeed? Discuss.

Matt Morgan is great where he is. Vince had his shot and blew it. Just like he did with a lot of other big stars on T.N.A. And the stars WWE let go just keep coming. Soon we gonna see Mr . Kennedy & Umaga in T.N.A. But I think in the near future we'll be seeing Matt Morgan with gold. Vince has got to be pissed off when he see the talent he let go. Even more now since Raw is going to hell.

I'm also be coming a fan of the guy. Like you said he is getting better in everything. I just love watching his matches now as he is great in the ring. His promos are getting better now. Vince probably is wishing he did something with the guy instead of giving him some stupid gimmick.

What can I say about Matt Morgan? The guy's got wrestling chops out the wazoo, he's a solid mic performer, and the guy can seriously emote and sell while in the ring. I think this is often an overlooked skill, people are often just concerned with whether a wrestler wins or not. Morgan is still interesting and enjoyable to watch even when he loses, because despite the physical size of this guy, you can feel for him when he gets a few good shots. Furthermore, TNA seems to be keeping the push for him in a two steps forward one step back sort of way.

I've always enjoyed Morgan. I liked the stuff he did with Abyss, I've liked the bits where he was trying to get into the Main Event Mafia, he may not have been one of the major "icons" of TNA, but he's been climbing and scrambling up the ladder and has really made a name for himself. Just look at how many posts and discussions there are here about him.

However, I think TNA is the best place for him. On the WWE, he'd just get lost in the shuffle with all the other superheavyweights, or he'd be ruined by their creative team. He's pretty much the giant of TNA and I'll bet he'll stay there.

I sort of disagree on that last part Karnage. I think the dude has everything it takes to be a star in the E. He can work the mic well. Not to mention his solid ring work. However, I think the most important attribute he would have in the E would be his size. We all know Vinny Mac has wood for big guys and loves to push them to the top. But unlike a lot of those Giant types, he has one thing that is essential (usually) to being a ME player- charisma.

He's ok. I don't think his in-ring work is all that great. But he can be carried to a decent match.

As far as Vince goes, I don't think he really cares. If Vince wants him he will wind up back in WWE someday.

I'm in the minority I guess. While I think Morgan has a great look, is decent on the mic, and is decent in the ring, I just don't care for him(personally). Somethings off about him to me. Maybe it's he's inability to carry other wrestlers(he doesn't have good matches with guys who are unable to help the work load).

But I do like how much he has improved over the years. He must be doing something right, since he's one of the few "newer" guys that TNA is pushing. The thing with Morgan that I think get's him far is his look. He's a big guy that looks legit in the mainevent fighting guys like Angle & Sting.

I don't think Vince is really upset or distraught that he let Morgan go, but I think if Vince doesn see some potential and use in Morgan, he'll be snatched up. And I'm sure Morgan would go back, even if it means years in the mid-card division.

I guess time will tell if Morgan has what it takes to be a big player in TNA, but for now I'm just happy seeing some "new blood" in the mainevent, and am happy that he's progressing.

I am really a big fan of Matt Morgan and I have been since his WWE days when he was severely misused. I don't think Vince will lose any sleep over it, but Morgan had too much untapped talent to let slip away and Vince let him go and now Matt is a big fish in TNA right now. To me, he's a 7-ft version of Goldberg except better on the mic. Goldberg had the better physique, by the way, has Morgan lost some of his ab muscles recently or is it just me?

Another thing about Morgan and that is supposedly Nathan Jones is coming to TNA eventually. Can you imagine both of them teaming up OR Jones going up against Morgan and Jones being revealed as the guy the MEM wants rather than Morgan?

Either way, I really like Matt Morgan and I think TNA is using him very well. He is going to be a main-event guy for a while.

I change my opinion on Morgan as often as I change my underwear - weekly. I stole that from Jake, but hey, I steal most things from Jake.

Right now, I'm on the fence. I watched, like, an hour and a bit of iMPACT! the other night and Morgan was pretty decent on it. Maybe he has a future.

If he does, he'll have to get less sloppy. His selling isn't that great, even for a big guy that's supposedly nigh on invulnerable. I've seen him straight up ignore people attacking him from behind before. Also, his jeans don't fit properly. I can't take someone seriously if their jeans don't fit properly.

I suppose there must be something in him though - it can't all be TNA fans exaggerating how good he is, can it?

I think Matt is difinitely doing a much better job than when he first started in this business. His match with AJ was by far one of his best matches ever and his Mic Skills have been improving although he still needs some more work. I do see him making it far in TNA but i'm not too sure about WWE. I think IF Vince even notices Matt, he will never admitt that he was wrong about him or that he made a mistake by letting him go. Just look at Christian. Yeah he's doing alright in ECW but I don't see him doing much of anything else in WWE cuz Vince doesn't see him as a main event kind of guy. The same goes for Matt Morgan. If he were to go back to WWE in the future, Vince would only use him as a midcard or top midcard superstar and be stuck there for the rest of his career.

Matt Morgan IS A BEAST! I loved his time in WWE though I hated the gimmick they stu-stu-stuck him with. The man's a blue chip, the one TNA needs to crank up bit by bit and could hit the jackpot with. What does Morgan not have? He's got the look, the size, the athleticism, the in-ring skills, and the charisma to go far. Let's pray TNA holds onto him, unlike Christian. I don't want the blue chip to become a woodchip.

Matt Morgan went from a studderer in WWE, to a guy who in the 3 years that he have been in TNA he have worked his way up the ladder, and i think he can be a Main Event player in TNA for years and i think he will be the TNA World Champion at some point in his career. I think if Morgan was a free agent Vince would sign him in a heart beat, so he has an actual big guy that can wrestle and i think he would get rid of Khali.

I like Matt Morgan. I think his potential to be the next big bad ass like the Undertaker is his destiny. I think the only problem right now is TNA can't seem to decide what they want to do with him. He's face, he's heel, he's face, he's heel c'mon people let's pick a side or at least make him some sorta tweener. Someday he'll be in the WWE. It's inevitable. It will happen. When it does I hope they right people are in Vince's ear so Morgan can continue to show off his ever elevating skills. If it sounds like I'm marking out I kinda am. I just like people with talent and Matt Morgan has talent. Just needs direction.

I don't really like the Tweener side of Morgan either. I know they are teasing a feud with him and Kurt, but I want him to come out full force as a face to take on the Mafia. Morgan is getting over week by week. I believe if he stays healthy, he has nowhere to go but up. I don't really know what WWE was thinking letting this guy go, or thinking that a stuttering gimmick would be entertaining. Didn't that gimmick start with Bubba Ray and now its passed to Goldust. Oyy Vey. I'm excited to see where Morgan goes in the company, every match I have seen in the past few weeks have all delivered.

I was originally against the Matt Morgan push. I thought it was too early and to me, he just never came across as a top contender main event level guy. That all changed last Thursday. He came across as BELIEVABLE main eventer. I always thought it would be AJ who gets the big rub from the MEM angle, but it could very well be Morgan.

I'm lovely Morgan as of late, he's come a long long way since his months as Cornette's bodyguard, his debut match in TNA was just last year at lockdown, and he's already been built up as a believeable main eventer, the aftermath of this MEM storyline will produce many new stars, Hernandez, AJ Styles and Samoa Joe (on another level I mean), Eric Young, Morgan, Abyss, future looks great imo

Vince would be pissed he lost what....what did he lose? A star on a 1.2 rating show? I'm confused here. Has Morgan headlined a PPV with more than, i'll be generous, 25,000 buys? WWE isn't TNA. WWE is in the business to make money. And right now Mysterio, Hardy (if he stays), HHH Shawn DX, Cena make him a TON of money. I don't even see a legit top spot for Morgan if he returned tomorrow. Not saying the future won't change but right now Morgan would be nothing on Raw. Morgan MIGHT be feuding with the IC title on Smackdown? Probably in ECW.

Only way you piss Vince off is he isn't the top dawg anymore. And right now he has 3 shows that are making more money than TNA. But of course some of you might be right. As he counts his millions from merchandise alone, he could be sitting there angry and pouty over letting the uber special sooper dooper Matt Mr Wrestling Morgan go

Morgan is the hot thing right now, but what is awesome one moment doesn't always last. However, I think that Morgan will stick in the Main Event. He is from the WWE, he is huge, he has a great look, and he is way over with the fans.

There isn't much more he needs to do. Sure, he could get better in the ring, but I think he's pretty good right now. After watching his third match with Styles, I'm convinced that he has the ability to be great in the ring. He just has to work on being more consistent. Also, his mic work could use a little work. It is much imporved over the last year or so, but it could always get better. The point is guys like Morgan don't come around all of the time.

As for the WWE, I'm sure the WWE would like to have him, but I don't think Vince will be losing any sleep over it.

I think TNA totally dropped the ball not giving him the title at Hard Justice. Yes, some superstars are best finally gaining it after multiple opportunities. But with the Originals/Frontline vs Main Event Mafia war going on right now, it would have made an interesting angle if a neutral won it.

Morgan would play that tweener role, a guy who is just out for himself before eventually joining one side and giving them the obvious advantage being the champion.

Nevertheless, I do think Morgan will win the TNA title sometime. He has the look, ring skills, and mic presence. Infact, I can go as far to say that the man is a brilliant all-rounder, he's even got youth on his side relatively.

In TNA, he is getting the push he deserves and I'm pretty sure it will end up with the TNA Title.

While I do think he should have been given the title at Hard Justice, looking at it now... it hasn't hurt his credability whatsoever and I think its hard to halt his momentum now. I'm a fan.

I have to agree with this, maybe WWE have noticed him, but right now, I can't see Morgan being high on their radar. I'll be honest and say I didn't really like Morgan at first either, but i'm warming to him. For his size and youth, he's definitely a good wrestler. He has a phenomenal look and gets better on the mic as time passes. If TNA passes up pushing a man whose been declaired genetically perfect by NASA...well...they're as dumb as the WWE for blowing their chances at a gold mine talent. He's been through the shit ringer and back and I can still see potential in him. Is there room for growth? Definitely, but I don't expect, nor do I want him doing moonsaults. That's not what I want out of a big guy like Morgan. I like seeing dominance, I like seeing absolution, and I like seeing it and believing it and that's what you get with Morgan. He's a powerhouse, and not every powerhouse has to be Bam Bam.

Morgan has definitely shown progress as of late, his mic skills are better then earlier in the year but he isnt as good as Jericho or Rock, so they can improve. Dont get me wrong tho, he isnt as bad as Hulk Hogan. As far as his in ring, I think his move set needs some upgrade and editions but he definitely gets his big man moves off nicely. Probably could use a better ring attire logo and tattoos, you know to catch the fans eyes. Over all the best part is he is still young and with all the veterans in TNA to help him, he is going to be a top star for TNA in no time.
Vince is notorious for letting talent go without being properly used, but then later on down the line the wind up back on the wwe payroll. Im glad Vince late him go because now TNA has him and he can be built up as a TNA guy but if he does go back to wwe, i want them to push him to moon and beyond so he can leave and come back home. TNA!!!!

OH yea.. almost forgot Mr. Andersons 90 days are up this week i believe.
