so Cody beat Ted

Respect My Authoritay!!!
not really sure if this means a whole lot but cody did pin ted last night on raw. now ted did go on to pin orton but now cody is on the bragging rights card and ted is not.

now right now i dont see this as a big deal but it does leave ted in a strange spot

thoughts??

I think that this is the start to the much anticipated Ted face turn. With the Marine 2 coming out in if i remember right November i could see him turn face soon. With what happened at the end of RAW i think that all 3 members of Legacy will implode leaving Randy and Ted to main event and Cody back to jobbing yet again.

I don't think either of them are in any sort of danger in terms of losing the spots they have earned. Yes Ted isn't in the match but I could still see him playing a part in the PPV whether that's helping Team Raw or helping Orton. I think it makes the most sense to have Cody in the match because with the Marine 2 coming out and a possible feud with Orton, Ted has plenty going for him. Without this match Cody has nothing going on right now, so this is a good way to keep attention on himself.

Yeah, it is definitely a strange spot that they have put Cody in.

However, here is how I see things panning out for the future just now:

- Triple H and Cena have a good match next week and it leads to a decent feud after Cena beats Orton at Bragging Rights.
- Orton gets pissed off at Ted and they begin to feud. Obviously Ted is going to be turning Face and who better to put him over than Orton?
- Cody goes on to feud with Michaels as a separate entity from Ted.

I think this makes the most sense of all the feuds that are possible at the minute because I certainly don't see Orton feuding with Cena after the Iron-Man Match.

I think that its pretty obvious with the marine 2 coming out that Ted DiBiase Jr. will have a face turn, but at the same time Cody Rhodes will too. Just think about it, over the past few weeks both DiBiase and Rhodes have been getting fed up with Ortons antics, and Rhodes doesnt like how Orton disrespects Dusty Rhodes. The two of them (DiBiase and Rhodes) could have a facce turn and feud with Orton and possibly someone else. (Dont know who, but it sounds good. Possibly a returning Booker T, Edge, or someone else in a trade of some sort.) Hell Rated RKO resturns, and they feud with the face team of Legacy. That'd be great and throw the tag titles in there too.

The way the end of the show happened, I'm thinking that it leaves Cody and Randy kicking Ted out of Legacy, and the feud starting between the two. Cody gets to stay as a heel, because he wasn't the one who pinned Orton, and since Ted did get the pin, it makes sense for him to be the face, still feuding with Orton's pawn.

The best way for it all to end, is for Ted to convince Cody to leave Orton, and they work as a tag team again, as faces. It'd make sense for them to both turn, so they can get the belts off Jerishow, and give us a real tag team division.

The simple fact of "If Orton Loses He Will NEVER Face Cena Again" easily tells me that Cena is going to SmackDown! They cant have them on the same show and ignore each other. Ted turns takes on a big Face role on Raw, DX stays doing what it is they're doing and feud with JeriShow. This leaves on poor Cody Rhodes. I think he will stick heel, maybe during Orton's celebration they beat down Ted? IDK, Cody hangs around the IC/US title and stays there for life while Ted and Randy go on to bigger and better things.

DiBiase has the look and all to be a WHC and if they turn him into a face and actually put him over against orton (doubt it) but ive grown to like Ted and enjoy watching him wrestle he needs to break away from that toothpick of a tag partner named Cody Rhodes who ive never liked.. I hope good things are to come in Teds future

love the idea of shawn facing cody. this could be an amazing push for cody and ted if it works out like you said

and with cena feuding with HHH maybe we can finally see the HHH heel turn we all want so badly

and then we can all happily see HHH v HBK at mania!!!!! haha

It's pretty obvious that Legacy is on the train to Splitsville, and it's even more obvious that Cody will be the one breaking away and turning face. Which I for one don't necessarily agree with, simply because Cody is terrible on the microphone and isn't ready to be on his own yet in my opinion.

I'm interested to see where the Legacy storyline goes though. That's something I haven't been able to say in a while about a WWE angle.

Am I the only 1 who thinks that Cody is gonna be the "Batista" of this group...I mean while everyone is expecting Ted 2 be the next big thing much like Orton was during his evolution days its been Cody who has been better in the ring, on the mic(lisp and all), n gets waaaay more heat. I understand that Ted has the look but if u ask me, I think that Cody will be the bigger star when its all said and done much like Batista was once he got his turn...

the way i thought it should play out was having ted and cody turn face ala beer money in tna because they earned DXs respect... and help team raw out and then beat out team jerishow but i dont think that will happen now i think cody will turn on ted and help orton eliminate ted from legacy

Cody is the real dark horse here. We all know he and Ted will turn on Orton. Ted is the future, but now it looks like Cody is gonna break out to. Even with that lisp, he's good on the stick and can work a good match. I agree with Cody being the Batista of the group as he'll possibly break out sooner than you think!

For either member of Legacy, nothing should be rushed. I might sound like a broken record saying this, but it's true. Neither dude is anywhere close to ready to main event and trust me, if everyone's proposed Orton/Dibiase feud happens, Ted will fail and be set back years, just like Orton was. I would like to see this team of Cody and Ted stay together for a while and eventually Cody turn face as on occasion you see a comic sensibility in him (remember him singing his dad's theme song in front of Ted Sr.?) Teddy junior, however, screams heel. Mainly because he's flat and boring. Boring helps you as a heel if you let it, look at Orton. Now, Ted may go face for the short while with Cody so a face promotes the movie, but it wouldn't surprise me to see them get the tag titles, then lose them to some heel team and have Ted turn on Cody and those 2 will feud. That would be a more logical way to go and it wouldn't rush either man to anything they aren't ready for.

As for why Cody gets the PPV spot over Ted........he's been in the WWE longer (by almost a year) and he has an amateur background from his days as a high school grappler. He is trusted more in the ring than Ted, plain and simple. This fact has been obvious over time, but due to countless Ted man-crushes, it gets overlooked. The dude is excellent in the ring, great matwork, and hits a moonsault about as clean as anyone I've seen. The kid is good and he's only 24. He's got a bright future, and if you aren't seeing it, I don't know what you're watching. I like the Evolution comparisons people are making because I think both Cody and Ted will get every opportunity to be major players in the company. I would just like to see them both grow into their own characters while still in the tag team. Think Edge and Christian here as when they left the brood you saw their funny side and saw more potential than just vampires. As Cody and Ted break away from Orton, hopefully we get more of a sense as to who they are as a team and individually.

It was refreshing to see Rhodes pick up the victory, in my opinion he deserved it...I think he's just as qualified as Dibiase to go on and be the 'break out' star of Legacy (despite what the majority of the IWC seem to think) as his in ring work and mic skills are improving all the time...certainly, I feel he is the more interesting of the pair at the moment.

However, this win doesn't necessarily mean WWE are focusing on Rhodes to be the star...there's a reason WWE have decided not to include both members of Legacy on the RAW team at Bragging Rights, just because Dibiase isn't featured on the card (yet) doesn't mean he will not play a role (possibly a greater role than Rhodes even) on the actual night. They may be planning on him to interfere in the Orton/Cena match or something along those lines...but I wouldn't rule Dibiase out just becuase he lost to Rhodes on RAW.

Overall, I think both Dibiase and Rhodes will enjoy future runs as main eventers on RAW, certainly this is apparent from the way WWE are grooming them. I think they want both of them to succeed rather than focusing on one becoming a 'bigger' star than the other (at least that's what I hope)...WWE most likely want another Orton and Batista from this Legacy group in Rhodes and Dibaise.

I actually don't care for this as much as Ted pinning Orton. When that happened, I almost jizzed, because that's a sign that WWE is trying to push Ted and maybe turn face. It's a breath of fresh air to see a Lecacy member pin the WWE champion, and their leader. Now I think Cody was put in the tag team match instead of Ted because Ted pinned Orton. They each did something good on Raw, 2 big wins, but of course Ted's is alot bigger and is taken way more seriously by me. I don't care that Ted isn't in the tag team match, he pinned Orton. Good enough for me.

Next week on raw we will see the full break up of Legacy. Triple H and Cena will go at it in a good match and Orton will interfere. Cody and will come out and they will destroy Triple H and Cena and Shawn will come out with a chair and Ted will come out after him and they will be in the ring staring each other down. Orton and Cody will come in and corner Shawn. Ted will take out Orton and Shawn and Cody will just stand there shocked. Ted and Cody will leave Orton will get up get hit with the sledgehammer, run into Sweet Chin Music, and then into the Attitude Adjustment. DX and Cena will be standing there and Ted will run back down and give him DreamStreet or whatever his finisher is and the show will go off the air. Its a week before a PPV, something dramatic has to happen.

The Legacy will not break up next week because if u haven't noticed since its inception its bin Randy and Cody and Cody is extremely loyal to Randy...its bin Ted who has always mouthed off.....so I look 4 Randy and Cody to kick Ted out of The Legacy...

well sorry to inform you but u got your facts wrong there john cena made the stipulation that if he lost he could never challenge orton for the title and if he won orton could not challenge him for the title but orton called that off and said i want u gone so i i win u leave raw and if u win your the champ
