For either member of Legacy, nothing should be rushed. I might sound like a broken record saying this, but it's true. Neither dude is anywhere close to ready to main event and trust me, if everyone's proposed Orton/Dibiase feud happens, Ted will fail and be set back years, just like Orton was. I would like to see this team of Cody and Ted stay together for a while and eventually Cody turn face as on occasion you see a comic sensibility in him (remember him singing his dad's theme song in front of Ted Sr.?) Teddy junior, however, screams heel. Mainly because he's flat and boring. Boring helps you as a heel if you let it, look at Orton. Now, Ted may go face for the short while with Cody so a face promotes the movie, but it wouldn't surprise me to see them get the tag titles, then lose them to some heel team and have Ted turn on Cody and those 2 will feud. That would be a more logical way to go and it wouldn't rush either man to anything they aren't ready for.
As for why Cody gets the PPV spot over Ted........he's been in the WWE longer (by almost a year) and he has an amateur background from his days as a high school grappler. He is trusted more in the ring than Ted, plain and simple. This fact has been obvious over time, but due to countless Ted man-crushes, it gets overlooked. The dude is excellent in the ring, great matwork, and hits a moonsault about as clean as anyone I've seen. The kid is good and he's only 24. He's got a bright future, and if you aren't seeing it, I don't know what you're watching. I like the Evolution comparisons people are making because I think both Cody and Ted will get every opportunity to be major players in the company. I would just like to see them both grow into their own characters while still in the tag team. Think Edge and Christian here as when they left the brood you saw their funny side and saw more potential than just vampires. As Cody and Ted break away from Orton, hopefully we get more of a sense as to who they are as a team and individually.
