Smimpact?

shattered dreams

Hexagonal Hedonist
Mick Foley was on the smodcast network promoting RAINN recently. Smodcast is the online radio network that filmmaker Kevin Smith (Silent Bob) has put together. One interesting tidbit was that Smith and his wife were pushing for a match to fund raise for RAINN with Jason Mewes (Jay) and someone. Foley said he was going to try and set something up with Showtime Eric Young.

It sounded like it was pretty much going to happen although you never know with this type of thing. No guarantees that it would be in TNA, Mick didn't mention TNA in the interview as best I remember, even though he was even asked at one point if he still wrestled. However, this sure seems like something that the powers that be should try to bring to impact. Mick got a fair amount of press from his lawn cutting for RAINN endeavor and this would certainly be more newsworthy than that. Not to mention the promotional opportunities for someone with as strong an online presence as Kevin Smith and the Smodcast Network.

So what do you think? Hope this comes to TNA? Or do you still hate any celebrity involvement?

First off, I don't know if I want to see a match because it's likely to stink, but a short Screamin Jay/ Showtime Eric comedy bout played purely for laughs could be acceptable.

However, as I'm a big Jay and Silent Bob fan, I'd love to see Smith incorporate wrestling (in particular TNA) into a movie storyline. Being pretty much the poster boy of the demographic that the two Clerks films were aimed at, I'd love to see this, as I could really see this work in interesting people of a certain age to try out wrestling again. Come on who wouldn't laugh at Jay going all 'snootchie bootchies' on Velvet or (better still for comedic effect) ODB:lmao:

It would be cool... I would really love to see Jay manage someone or have a partner to limit his involvement in the actual wrestling... But, it would be funny and cool as hell to see Jay and Silent bob in TNA...
