It would, however, make me wonder what the fuck is wrong with you.
I'm a psychology major, you have to be somewhat crazy to study crazy people.

Okay, here we go, my unbiased thoughts on the prison and the "culture" of the forums.
I've been a member for a little over a year and a half, though I've lurked the forums semi-regularly since 2007, it wasn't until January 2011 that I felt the need to start posting...I can't remember what topic it was, but something caught my eye and actually moved me enough to create an account and write a response
Since then, I've usually stuck around the Spam Zones because, to be quite honest, I think the Spam Rules are too strict and rather than get myself in trouble, I just read topics rather than post, and for the times I do take the time to post in a Non-Spam section, I think my answer through and attempt to justify it as best I can.
Here's the thing, while my personal OPINION is that the Spam Rules are too strict, I didn't make them, the admins/owners of the site did, I signed up for THEIR product, and I agreed to THEIR terms of use of said product, since I agreed to their Spam Rules, I have to follow them, even if I think they're stupid.
I think of it this way, posting on the forums is like having a Driver's License. Driving is NOT a right, it's a licensed activity, and with any license, there are terms of use of it. In New Jersey, where I live, this means, I have to have auto insurance and obey all traffic laws, regardless of whether or not I agree with them.
On the forums, this means I have to follow the Spam Rules and all those other rules in the rule book, and honestly, I did just that, before I made my account, I read the rules completely, and since then, I've done my best to follow them.
Having read the rule book, I find it HILARIOUS when prisoners complain about being bullied by the staff for 3 reasons.
1) The rules clearly state that the staff pretty much decide anything at their discretion of the interpretation of the rules that they wrote.
2) If you hate it so much, there's no reason to stick around. If you want a wrestling forum site that has less rules, pay the $10 to Go Daddy, register your own URL and start a forum with less rules...
3) I have never had a "negative" interaction with a staff member...EVER. I think Slyfox trolled (or used his line by line quote thing where he argues each sentence individually) me once in a spam thread where he picked apart an argument I made 6-7 months ago, but I didn't take it personally, get all ********* and fight back. I laughed it off and moved on with my life.
I'm kind of a regular in the Ask-KB thread because I respect his willingness to listen to questions and answer them, and until recently, I never cared about anything pre-1998 in wrestling, sometimes I think KB facepalms at some of the stupid stuff I've asked in that thread...like having him explain to me Honky Tonk Man's record setting IC title reign in the late 80s/early 90s
That said, I have no opinion on the quality of work the admins and mods do on account of never having been a part of it...I guess that they do a good job though and here's why
1) There are lots of members...I think it's like 10K, you don't get that many people to join if the product isn't good
2) I've never had a problem. You don't fix what's broken, but if nothing ever breaks, then the product is really well made.
3) I keep coming back. I love reading the non-spam threads, even if I don't feel the need to respond, I still love reading about the topics being discussed.
On the Prisoners:
Every one of you is here for a reason. Ironically, most of you are too dense to realize what you did to get yourself into trouble.
TJ Crybaby Troll: You are absolutely a troll and your denial of trolling is in fact a pathetic attempt at trolling. If you're gonna troll and get away with it, it helps to have a functioning brain that can think. You think Slyfox got his power by trolling? He got it by thinking, the trolling for him is a bonus.
Let me tell you a little story about me and spam rules. One time, I had a question about spam and proper thread making rules, I PM'd KB asking him the question, he sent me a response. I took his response, read it, and did what he said. Shockingly, I stayed out of trouble.
Jenks: I honestly don't know your story, you were already a prisoner by the time I got around to joining. I can't say who's right or wrong, but from what I've seen the admins are very fair...but they also have power, support from non-mods is meaningless. Stop clinging to it.
To all the prisoners:
You're not cool by airing your complaints about the staff publicly, you're just pathetic.
Anyone who hates the forums can leave at any time. Anyone who doesn't like the rules can go to any of the other sites which have less rules.
Also, none of you here is the voice of the voiceless. I'm not a mod, I'm just a voiceless peon who read these forums, and I refuse to be represented by someone with half the intelligence I have.
What any of you "rebellious" prisoners are trying to do is bound to fail, you know why? Because if you actually had a chance of succeeding in over throwing anyone, one of two things would happen...
1) you'd have gotten a staff position because you would be able to convince the current staff that things needed to change
2) you'd be completely banned so no one else would get ideas of rebelling.
Neither of those things is happening. Which means, you've already failed.
What you fail to realize is that, on a private website like this, there are no freedoms of speech or expression, you're PRIVILEGE of posting on this website is COMPLETELY 100% at the discretion of the Mods. You agreed to their rules when you signed up, you agreed to the possible consequences of going to Prison.
This is no different than someone who breaks traffic laws while driving, they too can lose their license or go to Prison.
So, stop whining, click the "log out" button and go find another site.
Now, before I get accused of kissing ass...I have 0 desire for a mod role...I like what I do...I like logging in, reading some topics, tossing a question or two KB's way and occasionally doing a Live Discussion thread. This is something that would never change.
Best part is, if any prisoner disagrees with this assessment, they only further prove Slyfox right, and I find that hilarious.
