I've always respected Sly. He always has something to say that isn't popular with the locals, but it's always been true. Sometimes, I disagreed with some of his comments, but when I actually thought about it, his points made sense and he presented them accurately and intelligently.
He can explain in great detail why ROH isn't God's gift to wrestling, what made ECW a horrible promotion, why TNA isn't as bad as the critics think, or why the then WWF's attitude era wasn't all it's cracked up to be.
The problem is the naysayers don't like to admit their wrong, so they desperately cling to their opinion no matter how many times he counters back with something far greater. I always enjoy watching his disputes, because everyone gets so riled up about what he says. It's a shame there aren't people like him on other forums.
I've never known anyone who could produce more thought-provoking arguments than him. Whether it's WWE, TNA, ROH, ECW, WCW, or any other wrestling promotion in general, Sly is always right on the mark about everything he says.
