Situation

You're going to have to fill me in on the details, bro...moms and significant others getting catty with each other always makes for good times.

You know what just happened...I wrote good times in my previous post, and it made think of the song by Chic, and now I am listening to it on youtube. These truly are good times.

It is only semi-based on my real life. My girlfriend and my parents have only met a few times, despite us dating for 3 years next month. Girlfriend believes there is tension, and I don't know about about my mother.

But for those relationships where you have been dating a girl fro about 6 months, and you really feel like she is the one. You take her home to meet the family, and there is tension between the two. You feel they may never be able to be around each other. You don't want to cut your family off, but you don't want to break up. What do you do?

try to find common ground between your gf and your family.

if say for example your mom and gf both like shopping then well tell them to go shopping togethere, that way your mom could get to know her better without all of the tension because they are doing something they both like and maybe it is their way to relieve stress or something like that.Since that would for example be their way of relieving stress then they arent going to get stressed.Maybe that way she will get to know her better and maybe change her feelings on her and get rid of the tension.

Yes.

Unless of course you want your Mom hand-picking the one girl you wanna sleep with for quite possibly the rest of your life. Here's an idea.. let her continue to lay out your clothes, hand-feed you, and fucking bathe you while you're at it.

Of course you fucking continue the relationship. If my Parents, either of them, had a problem with a girl "I" liked.. too fucking bad. They aren't me, and they aren't trying to make the relationship go somewhere.

I respect opinions from my Parents. But an opinion isn't something I have to follow.
