Should Vincent Kennedy McMahon be considered for the Hall of Fame?

Vince McMahon is the greatest promoter in Wrestling history. This is not a debatable topic. He's wrestled and been a referee in some of the greatest matches during the attitude era. He's also one of the best commentators in WWE history. He's also been manager for many different superstars. His storyline creativity has had track record of being pretty darn good. His creativity in characters has been on the mark at times. So his career is amazing.

The question is should Vince McMahon at Wrestle-mania 30 or any Hall of Fame ceremony be inducted? and who should induct him?

There is no question. He is the reason we get to watch wrestling on television as opposed to having to know when the live events are coming to our cities. People hate him for many things and say he hurt wrestling, but Mr. McMahon is wrestling. I would guess that Triple H inducts him, or his daughter.

Yes, definitely. The only weird thing about it is that Vince would basically be inducting himself into the Hall of Fame. Which is just kind of weird. But to answer your question, yes, Vince should go into the HoF.

As for who would induct him, I would have to say Shane and/or Steph. Maybe even HHH.

Well of course Vinnie Mac should be in the WWE Hall of Fame. The guy's name is synonymous with the WWE. I have absolutely no doubt he will be added to the Hall of Fame eventually.

That being said, it will likely not happen until McMahon retires...or dies. I doubt he'll add himself while still an active member of the company.

Is this even a question? Mr. M is just good anyway you look at him... just like you just described... and i think Bret Hart should induct him.... hahaha:lmao:

but in all seriousness it should be Steph and HHH...

Yes, most definitely. He took the business from small areas, and took it to the world.

Honestly, why has no one suggested the great protagonist to McMahon's antagonist character? The perfect person to induct Mr. McMahon is the beer swilling, trash talking, rattlesnake himself, Stone Cold Steve Austin.

I most definitely think Mcmahon should be inducted, but I think it should be some time after he has been gone from the show. I would say in maybe 5-10 years, or at Wrestlemania 30! That would be a huge milestone.

I never really liked that JR and Lawler got inducted a few years back while they had still been commentating and (Lawler) wrestling. I think it makes it much more meaningful if they get inducted after they have retired.

McMamhon Wrestlemania 30! Who's with me?

without a doubt yes Vince should b put into the HOF! hes the best promoter in wrestling history,he made WWE the biggest company in wrestling, hes done great with many storylines over the years and ill b shocked if vince doesnt go into the hall of fame ever IMO it will happen after triple h and steph r fully running everything and vince has stepped down...my guess would be steph and/or shane would induct him

The McMahon family should be inducted period. not just Vince
They all played a huge part in WWE's success and entertainment over the decades.

Without question. The biggest Yes I can give. I do think it will be after he steps away, which might be posthumously.

For the sake of my sanity, I hope he goes in posthumously. I can already see the ungodly amount of smarks losing their shit all over the internet saying how he inducted himself just to stroke his own ego and how he took away a spot for someone more deserving.

Honestly, he should already be in the Hall. He is probably the most important person in the history of professional wrestling. I only say he should go in after he passes because at least then, he obviously didn't induct himself and no one can bitch about it.

ABSO FING LUTELY!!! WM30 would be the perfect time, and maybe either HBK or Austin to induct him, or Linda/Steph/Shane. Vince McMahon is wrestling. Long may the King reign.

Yeah I can only really see Vince McMahon going into the WWE Hall of Fame directly after he passes away.

The internet would go crazy about him putting himself in over someone like Sting or someone else, just an example. The fact of the matter is, Vince McMahon already is considered for it, it's his company, he turned professional wrestling into what it is today on a global scale. Bringing in crowds of up to 90,000 in the US and having a hell of a lot of people watching around the world.

Not only for just being Vince McMahon the business man, he's also been involved in some pretty massive stories and feuds with the whole Montreal Screwjob, vs Steve Austin, Corporation, Corporate Ministry, teaming with Austin, vs DX. He is more than worthy for the hall of fame, no doubt.

without a doubt Vince should be inducted at some point, most likely after he passes on. he revolutionised the wrestling industry by taking it from the northeastern territory to a worldwide organisation and he changed the wrestling business forever. i know he has done some stupid things in the past (XFL, WBF) but nothing can take it away from his legacy on the wrestling business

- took wrestling from the regionals to nationals and beyond

- was the first wrestling promoter to syndicate WWF/E television shows across the united states, leaving other promoters furious

- the first to sell wresting events on videotape through his coliseum distribution company

- was the first wrestling promoter to tour nationally

- created the groundbreaking event WrestleMania (Howard Finkel came up with the name)

and there are a few points

I would wait until he steps down from the WWE altogether but in my opinion there will never be a more deserving name for the Hall of Fame than Vincent K McMahon.

He is the biggest reason why most of us still watch wrestling today, say whatever you want about the current product but I can't think of too many people on this planet that gave myself more entertainment than that man. For all he's done for the wrestling business, bringing it to new heights TWICE and considering the global juggernaut WWE has become there is absolutely no way you couldn't put Vince in the HOF some day.

Vince is the reason for mainstream wrestling today and is the reason there is a HOF and whether you like or dislike Vince, you have to admire and respect all he's done for wrestling and sports entertainment. He's done more than Austin, The Rock or Hogan so there should be no question if he should get in.

For who should induct him I would go with Austin, when I think of McMahon I think of Austin because of their groundbreaking feud. If not Austin then HHH or Steph.

Should Vince be in the Hall of Fame of the company he turned into a worldwide phenomenon? Uhhh, yeah I sure as hell think so. Like people have been saying, I don't think he will go in until after he has passed on. I don't think he would WANT to go in until he passes away. The way I see it in my head is that we have some incredible video packages of Vince leading up to it, Austin inducts him, and the entire McMahon family (Steph, Shane, Linda and HHH) accepts on his behalf.

On a side note, if you haven't seen the McMahon DVD, I strongly recommend that you get your hands on it somehow. It is very, very entertaining.

Short answer yes. Long answer, your damn right he should be inducted!

Reason's. Oh, I don't know. Owning the biggest wrestling company in the world for the last 30 years, creating the annual Wrestlemania. Creating sport's entertainemnt as we know it. His fued with Austin, one of the any best fued's of all time. Being a booking genius.

Yes, he will definatley get into the Hall of Fame. That's like asking does God belong in Heaven.

Im surprised he's not in it already. He's made the WWE absolutely huge, not just as a wrestling/sports entertainment brand, but all over the world. WWE is known on Sky Sports in the UK, known in Spain, Portugal etc. Vinnie Mac has done a heck of a job here and has made stars out of the wreslters. The Rock, Cena, Austin, Miz are all out there doing chat shows and movies. Miz is on TMZ, Rock is a hollywood star arguably and Cena and Austin are building their way up to that. A great example is Wrestlemania week: Almost every big chat show in USA have a WWE wrestler on to promote the event so that is just half of why Vince should be in the HOF.

The other half is that he owns the company :p

Yeah he should go in to the HOF, but like many other have said it should be after he steps down or passes to go into his own HOF.

son-in-law or Steph should do it, or in a weird twist HH or Brett Hart would be unique as Hogan got his fame from Vince and Vince wouldn't be where he is without Hogan. Brett just for the simple Screwjob angle would work for me too.

No doubt, VKM deserves to be in the Hall. From a business standpoint as well as a character stand point he deserves it. Vince is hands down one of the greatest business men ever. In my opinion, he's a genius. He invented the Hall, and he made wrestling what it is today. He's a former WWE and ECW champion, and he's won a Royal Rumble for Christ's sake. His feuds with Austin, Bret Hart, Triple H, HBK, John Cena, Undertaker, Ric Flair, the list goes on.. It's just that simple.

Of course, but not know. Just for the sake of idiots hollering about Vince being inducted because of his ego. I don't need to explain what Vince has done for pro wrestling, whether or not if you agree with him, he was one of the driving forces that put wrestling on the map.

As to who will induct him, who better than his wife and children? They've also done a great deal for WWE and they have papa to thank for that.

If Drew Carey is being inducted for a 2 minute cameo in the Royal Rumble how should Vince not be inducted. Everyine has already stated the massive impact hes had on making wrestling a global televied phenomenon.

People often forget that as much as Austin it was Mcmahon actively getting himself involved in the storylines often subjecting himself to embarassment that signalled a turning point in the Monday Night Wars in my opinion any storyline in which Vince involves himself in becomes more interesting.

He has also kept WWE at the top of the pile for decades now which is no mean feat considering how other great organisations like WCW have fallen.
