Going on 10 years with WrestleZone
For those of you who do not follow the Amateur, College, or Olympic wrestling scene, Cael Sanderson is the greatest wrestler who has ever lived. Better than Dan Gable, better than Alexander Karelin, better than Kurt Angle. Sanderson is the only man in NCAA history to be undefeated in college and win 4 national championships. (Cael was 162-0, Gable was 161-1 losing his final match) Cael also won the 2004 Olympic Gold in Freestyle wrestling.

With the success in the sport of Kurt Angle, the success that Brock Lesnar WOULD have had, and the success Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas COULD have, should the WWE seek to further legitimize Professional Wrestling by going after Cael Sanderson? Do you think Cael would ever entertain it?

Despite the fact WWE & WCW called him [Kurt Angle] after his win at the Olympics then bringing him into the WWE & eventually becoming a WWE champion, if the guy isn't a fan of professional wrestling, I say stay out. There's too many guys these days who are just in the business for the money and has no knowledge of it's history nor was even a fan of it prior to being signed. If by any chance he grew up as a fan of professional wrestling and would love to take a part in it, then I say why not but it would take alot of work including years of training to transfer into a professional.

I think they should leave him alone, yes he might be the best amature wrestler, but he might not be the best pro wrestler, it also depends on how old he is and even if he is interested

DaVinci, to answer, Cael is 28 right now and is only 3 years removed from an Olympic Gold. Think about it - an answer to Kurt Angle in TNA?

Cael has a very respectful and lucrative job as the Head Wrestling Coach at Iowa State University, one of the better Division 1 programs in the country. He'd be tough to pry away from there, and there's no promise he wouldn't do like Lesnar did and decided two years in that he should go elsewhere.
