HBK's "holy" parody of Taker's entrance and outfit was really awesome. Do any of yall think it would be a cool idea for him to keep doing that a little longer? Maybe through Backlash or something to continue the feud while continuing to come out as the "Holy-Taker" or whatever nickname it would end up getting, until he gets a win in a rematch at backlash? He could go back to being HBK again after that. Just an idea I think would be cool.

What are yall's thoughts on that if it did happen?

NO this feud is over. we don't want the match from Mania ruined. because if it happened again it would not get the allowed time and not be as special as the one at WM. we have seen what these two can do now. a rematch would piss fans off because it would be the same match unless they threw in a gimmick of some sort. only this time would be Shawn winning the match. to answer your question No this feud is over plus Shawn wanted some time off after WM witch is why we did not see him on Raw this week. Vince will grant hi that time after that performance. plus Shawn is only part time wrestler like Taker.

No lets close the door on that feud now both men look to be taking time off now anyway so when they return they should have moved on.

I would hate to see a rematch between these two. It would be dragged and ruin it. Wrestlemania was a classic...let`s keep it that way.

I agree with all of you thus far. A Rematch would ruin the magic that was left in "The Greatest Wrestlemania Match of All Time". But i would love to see Shawn keep doing that gimmick. It would be real cool.

And Shawn isnt part time, Shawns full time. He's always on Raw and at every PPV.

good point when it comes to the feud needing to end because the match on sunday was a classic.... I was more curious about whether or not people would want to see more of "The Holy-Taker". What if both of them had taken some time off to recover, shawn comes back as the Holy-Taker and gets a lot of wins then taker finds out and they have the rematch but by then it could be around summerslam or something. The feud wouldn't have to continue now, I just think it'd be cool to see Holy-Taker again, although if he never does that again then it was still awesome.

I'll pass. I'm relatively sure that the gimmick was simply as part of Shawn's mind games with Taker and without being in a feud with Taker, it doesn't actually serve a purpose. And on the grounds that having this feud continue right now would be a horrible idea, I'd just as soon say "Drop the gimmick."

I see both sides. The gimmick was nice as hell, but the only point that helps it make sense is the feud with Taker.
Maybe a re-match at next years WM.
Taker wants to go 18 - 0, Shawns wants to win his last match.
Could be interesting.

No.
The Holy-Taker was awesome, but only for this feud, and continuing the feud wouldn't be good. The match ruled, it was Wrestlemania, the gimmick was great, the feud was good...LEt's just leave it alone and not drag it out.

If you cant outdo what was done on Sunday, or if theres no gold on the line, it would be pointless to have another match. What they did on sunday was an absolute masterpiece. With both of them set to retire in the near future, the ONLY way id have them lock up again is if They were fighting for the belt. Continuing the gimmick would only continue the feud, so HBK needs to drop it.

I completely agree with you, but sadly this hasn't stopped the WWE from doing this in the past. Vince had Shawn and Razor have another ladder match at Summerslam to name one.

I think both Shawn and Taker are going to be taking some time off anyways and probably won't come back til after Backlash or maybe just make a quick appearance at the draft and if they are drafted theyll prob just show their graphic.

WWE should just leave as is we don't need two guys with 10 minute ring entrances.

No I don't think he should continue to use it. His program with the undertaker is over and them having a rematch at backlash would only but a damper on the awsome match they just had at mania. I think its time for both of them to move on at this point as they both showed what they can do with each other

Hell in the Cell Part 2 for a belt next Wrestlemania. First one had Kane do the run in. This time, I want a decisive winner. Im sorry but they have another one up their sleeve. If Michaels is done next year and Undertaker wants to go 18 - 0, throw the HITC stip in the mix plus HBK's last match win on the line. On top of that, Taker walks in Mania with the belt. Will he walk out with it? How bout that? No good either?

This year Wrestlemania match was amazing. No the fued should not continue. And no they should not have a match next Wrestlemania. All that would serve is for Michaels to lose to Taker, thus giving a 'rub' to someone else who is soon to leave the company, or for Michaels to win and end the streak...which no one wants, not even Vince McMahon himself. Honestly, I understand the idea of putting someone over in your last match, but with a loss at this year's Mania, I think Michaels should go over at WM 26 in his last match.

And to answer your question, Michaels 'Holy-Taker' gimmick only made sense and was any good because he was feuding with Taker, without that going on it would be pointless.

No, absolutely not. He'll never do that again. Just like he'll never fly down from the rapters again.

I was also thinking a match at Mania 26 would be great. That should be the only time they wrestle against each other again.

This time without my usual lack of punctuation.

1. Perhaps the Over Taker would be his nickname in the outfit. Corny, yes. Lame, yes. Logical, sadly yes. Just the same only good if used against the Undertaker.

2. Maybe I had too high of hopes for their Mania match. Maybe I looked upon the match as though I were a talent scout too much and not enough as me just being a fan. Maybe I'm too picky. Still yet another maybe the screen I looked at the match from wasn't big enough and I should consider re ordering it with a giant H.D. TV. Getting to the point. I don't think their match was THAT good. Both Shawn's and Mark's (the undertaker) falls had awkward, clearly mistaken, landings when falling to the outside. Whilst Shawn just landed wrong. The camera guy was either too far back or Mark didn't fly far enough, either way you can't tell me they meant for him to give himself a flying tombstone. Also a few of the submission holds seemed very sloppy. For instance the figure four seemed all wrong. Aside from the odd submissions and falls I do agree it was a great otherwise flawless match that did live up to the hype. Certainly stole the show. Unquestionably a top 10 mania match ever. But I have yet to see, if wrong on this I apologize, anyone mention the matches flaws aside from Mark's fall. Perhaps it's one of those things it would take a while for people to bring up. In example, Shawn vs Bret immediately after the match and for seemingly months after, you wouldn't hear a complaint on the match. However, years later some argued that the match had too many rest holds and was slow or boring. Mind you, I disagree with that assessment as I'm sure many of you do. Never the less my point is this: due to the aforementioned noticeable flaws, I feel there is yet room for improvement. Why not let them have a 3 P.P.V. in a row or every other one kind of thing happen. It's a great feud that didn't get that long a run in the 90's, plus since it was so long back why not another. I'm not saying lets make a H.H.H. H.B.K. never ending thing out of the matter. Just 1 or 2 more. Perhaps a best out of 3 with Undertaker getting the last win, not that they should treat it as a best of 3 thing, but just for us at home keeping score. They can do better. All that story line is right there, be a shame to end it before you have to.

All that said, I agree with most on this thread in that there should be no Wrestle Mania 26 rematch. If Shawn goes out with a win let him beat H.H.H. As long and overdone as that feud was it never did get to be at mania. If Shawn is to go out with a loss let him lose to Dibiase Jr. set him up to do the same to the Undertaker to retire him. Then after Taker is 19-1 and retired, Dibiase can have a feud with Orton over who's the better legend killer or something.

All that said, for those who are angrily preparing your reply, I add Kane's my second pick to end the Undertakers career. I reiterate, maybe it was just my T.V.'s poor quality and the match was better than I gave it credit for. Either way they didn't top Angle Michaels. So they still have a barrier to break in terms of greatness, and don't give me the "but the Undertaker cant wrestle like Kurt" cuz I'm not saying he has too, I'm just saying you can always do better.

no its done, there no need for the gimmick regardless of a rematch or not. This will be probably the last time they feud. They only did the match because it was the best option for the undertaker this year... he's beatin almost everyone else worth while at wrestlemania. The only thing that would piss me off is if they have him work with Cena next year and Cena ends his streak... they've tried to do everything else to put the guy over as the best thing in the business today. If Shawn didnt beat him than NOBODY should end his streak. Regardless, the feud and the holy taker gimmick is over.

"Getting to the point. I don't think their match was THAT good."

You must have some pretty high standards. There both in their 40's and made both main events seem boring. No its wasn't as good as Shawn and Kurt but in my opinion, it was the best pure wrestling match of 09.

The gimmick is dead, the feud is most likly over, but I wouldn't be shocked if we see something between these 2 when they come back. However I was shocked that we didn't at least have some sort of comments from HBK or Taker on monday or on smackdown. I know both were due to take time off after Mania, but I thought something should have been done to put an end to this (aside from the match) which makes me think we'll see something again.

I don't think Shawn Michaels should do that. He has gone almost 16 years with that gimmick, it would be weird seeing him differently. Besides, I don't think they should ruin that WrestleMania match by having another one so fast. They should wait a few monthhs and maybe do it at Summerslam. :undertaker2:
