Seth Rollins has been Brilliant!

L@RISANO

R.I.P Mustang Sally :( :( :(
After what happened last night, it is clear that the booking for Seth Rollins since he became the WWE's Most Hated has been absolutely spot on given how other booking decisions have gone.

Last night, Rollins beat Orton with a roll-up pin out of nowhere, and even though it was a brilliant move by Rollins(he did beat Orton fair and square, after all), yet, as a viewer, you couldn't help but feel bad for the same Orton who just a couple of weeks ago was still an Authority lapdog.
You just sat there hoping that the same Orton would get up and RKO Seth's Ass(as he did do after).

Rollins has been booked in such a way that he keeps on building heat for himself regardless of what he does, and to be honest, he reminds me of HHH's booking around a decade ago, when, regardless of what HHH did, I just absolutely hated the guy...and that same feeling comes now when I see Rollins(especially his :wtf: "witch-like cackle").

Hopefully, Seth Rollins the hated Traitorface, comes out of Wrestlemania 31 as a nailed-on Main Event Top Heel, hopefully succeeding Randy Orton in the position, because he is doing a damn Good Job Every Single Night!

Cheers. :)

Somewhere, I've always felt that Seth Rollins could've been the least pushed out of the 3 Shield members. Instead, he's in middle of a push of his lifetime. He has immense talent inside the ring, but as a heel, he just seems to have come into his own.

I do agree that he's (I think) the most hated heel in kayfabe terms. I mean he's not annoying, but brilliant at that shortcut stuff. I truly believe that after Wrestlemania, he can take the mantle of becoming the no 1 heel in WWE.

when do you guys think seth rollins will cash in his money in the bank contract? I feel perhaps wrestlemania 31 but that would kill roman reigns moment or the Monday after but that would still kill roman reigns's moment in my opinion. perhaps on money in the bank ppv?

If Roman Reigns does wind up facing Brock Lesnar at Mania31, then I'd hope a Seth Rollins cash-in happens at Mania itself(Ideal,lMO) or on the Post-Mania RAW(not ideal, because Rollins'll probly be cheered by the usual smarky crowd).

I say that because, I can't see Roman in the way he has been booked as an Invincible Superman simply waltzing into Mania 31 and defeating the Big Bad Brock and getting cheered wildly for his efforts, thus, a Rollins cash-in and title win would give Roman some time to engage in a chase against an even hotter Seth Rollins post-Mania(After all, the money is always in the chase!)

With regards to Roman Reigns himself:
My preference at this point is Roman Reigns vs HHH(End of Authority storyline).

If not, then:
Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar, with Reigns winning and then taking over the mantle of New Monster Heel in the WWE, and perhaps becoming the New Heyman guy(but still keeping his Special Ops Entrance from the crowd, ofc.)

Or the above mentioned Seth Rollins Cash-in Scenario on Roman Reigns at Mania 31 itself to spoil what should be a golden moment for Reigns.

Its easy to hate seth rollins. His hair is stupid with the blonde which makes him effeminate. His voice isnt commanding its bitch made. He plays the chicken shit heel good. I can never see him as a good guy. pissed he keeps going over but we need guys to hate. Maybe he'll get xpac heat soon.

Also seth was always third fiddle to the other members and now hes booked towards the top.

I'm actually a HUGE Rollins fan. He's from Davenport, Iowa, which is like an hour away from me, and I was a big fan even before I'd realized that. I told all my friends that Tyler Black, later Seth Rollins, was going to be HUGE, and no one listened to me.

That said, I never thought of Rollins as the type to be a heel. I thought he'd be this huge Jeff Hardy-like face. My initial reaction to him turning was "what the hell are they doing?" But after talking it out with my friends, I realized this was a mega push. Triple H essentially chose Rollins to be his right-hand man, which shows incredible confidence in Rollins. To Rollins's credit, he has exceeded expectations by far. Rollins has stepped up and is essentially the top heel right now.

I agree, he's really stepped his game up as THE top heel in the company right now, but I also think in time he'll be a great face when the time eventually comes to turn him, though I'm sure that won't be for a while yet. Watching his work in the indies and in FCW/NXT as a face, his matches alone would get him over with the crowd, and like Ryan said, to me he's got that Jeff Hardy kinda thing going for him, in my eyes. I also think he's quite underrated by some with his mic work. Not saying he's golden on the mic, but he seems very comfortable on there at least. I think we'll be seeing Seth at the top of the card for many years, face or heel. :)

Oh man, I haven't truly hated a heel (kayfabe wise) in a long time, but Seth Rollins is just so good at playing his role and last night showed that perfectly.

When Rollins hit the Curb Stomp on Ziggler, I (along with everybody else in the building) nearly lost my shit because for a second I thought he was legit going to win the IC title, and than when Orton came out, the pop was massive. I don't really mark out too much because I find it difficult to get super-invested in many wrestlers, but Rollins has easily hooked me. Rollins is easily the best true heel in the business right now and I for one can't wait until we see a heel Rollins title run.

This is from last year:

And I bring this up for a reason. Seth Rolllins, when he came in with The Shield was prolly the most forgettable piece of the trio. But around THAT ^time, his promos started becoming better, his work was more evidently kamikaze. Watching him (and from the Journey To Summerslam- Shield mini-doc), it was evident that he has a bit off a chip on his shoulder. Hence, I feel, he plays this role so well. That smug golden boy who feels entitled coz he knows he is good.

Rollins got better, and I'm glad he is maybe in the Top 3 Heel list at the mo'.

Very brilliant, and quite remarkable. Seth Rollins has done something that's not easy to do in this era. WWE is finding themselves in front of 'smarky' crowds more & more. The crowd is often willing to get behind anyone, heel or face, providing they entertain. Right now, Mizdow is my best example of this. On Raw, Miz faced an Uso. The crowd was decent, but when Mizdow took a superkick, the crowd turned on the Usos.

Miz deserves kudos as well, as he's been great, but this is a Rollins thread, and this is my point. Rollins is highly entertaining, a great high flyer, gifted athlete and solid on the mic. Even in front of smark crowds, Rollins is still subject to proper heat and 'You Sold Out' chants. Since he's turned on the Shield, I don't yet recall any crowds cheering on Rollins. This run of Seth is remarkable, indeed.

Cheers, Seth Rollins!

While think Rollins is doing great as a heel, I also look forward to his eventual babyface turn. As a babyface, he'll be even more dynamic inside the ring. Often times, during the various six man bouts we've seen The Shield involved in, Rollins' ring time has stolen the show. Kind of like Bryan, Zayn, Neville and some others, he has a high energy sort of pace. He doesn't do a lot of high flying or anything, but there's just a lot of energy in what he does.

IF Roman Reigns ultimately faces Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XXXI for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and wins, I think that's when Rollins will cash in his MITB contract. Rollins will be tired, sore, probably half dead, kayfabe, from his match with Lesnar, he'll be celebrating, Rollins will come up from behind & nail him with the briefcase, cash it in, deliver the Curb Stomp and capture the title that'll lead to them feuding over the title through the summer.

I'm enjoying Rollins' work immensely and believe he's carving out a real identity for himself as a single......so all's well.

Still, here's a shout out to the other guys and gals in the locker room who must look at the pushes being given to Seth and his two ex-Shield buddies .....and wonder why they can't get the same treatment.

There have been so many performers over the years who made the WWE roster but never really had a chance to stand out of the pack.....and, notably, never got the kind of attention and direction given them by the writers that these guys are getting.

I think it's terrific that three young guys are being given the chance to become the generation that will lead us into the next decade..... yet I can feel for the ones who, with a similar push......which is an enormous push.....could have achieved the same fame that's making us think Rollins, Reigns and Ambrose are the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Hell, since breaking up as a unit, has any of them even lost a match cleanly? That's a push.

Has Seth Rollins been brilliant? Yes, he has.....but, given the chance, there are others who could have been brilliant, too. Just sayin'

I think Seth Rollins is the future as they've been saying on TV. All three members of the Shield are going to be big, and I've known that for a while. I've known ever since I first saw Tyler Black in ROH that he had that "it" factor. I just thought it would be in reverse order. A year ago, I would have said that Ambrose would be the heel and Rollins would be the face. But alas, that is not the case, and it is working perfectly.

Rollins gets it. He toned down his in ring style as far as his high flying goes. With the exception of a few spots in his longer matches of late, Rollins has avoided high flying moves because those are babyface moves. Rollins is doing everything he can to be a real heel. Not a tweener, not a heel that wants to be cheered, but a heel. He does everything he does to get boo'd. And it's working. Seth Rollins is doing it right. And when he does turn babyface, because it would be a waste not to, and he does put all the flying moves like the flips and suicide dives back into his moveset, Seth Rollins will be just as over as a face as he is as a heel. And then maybe he'll do that crazy mosh thing again with his entrance.

I personally think Ambrose goes too far with his "lunatic" role and Reigns isn't good enough at his "badass" role. I think Rollins is a perfect medium and far superior to his former Shield counterparts. Though, I'm a little worried at the thought of him standing alone. He's the only member of The Shield who hasn't held a true singles career.

I can definitely see Rollins cashing in at Royal Rumble on Lesnar, leading to Rollins vs. Reigns for the title or Rollins vs. Reigns vs. Ambrose for the title. It's the only way to keep Lesnar looking strong.

Rollins has been fantastic thus far. To be the only heel after The Shield was no doubt a difficult a task. Just attacking them with a chair wasn't enough - The Shield were far too loved for people to forget.

Rollins has been able to overcome all the affection coming his way from The Shield days. There has been enough minor changes to keep the momentum going. Stuff like his new ring-gear would have helped that. Of course, associating himself with The Authority helped move him along but soon he may get his chance alone and I'm optimistic. His mic-work has improved as his in-ring work. Sure, he isn't perfect in either aspect but he is getting there.

Now Orton has seemingly turned and Brock isn't around very often it can be said Rollins is the number one heel on the active roster. That is some responsibility and he is clearly up to the task. My ONLY issue is him doing the suicide dive. Far too many wrestlers use this move as it is and Rollins definitely doesn't need it. It pissed me off (more than it should) but he should stop doing using it. Other than that, Rollins is wonderful.

He's definitely exceeded my expectations. I honestly thought prior The Shield breakup he would have been lost in the shuffle.

I'm hoping they put the Reigns/Rollins feud on the back burner and start it after WrestleMania...after he cashes in on Reigns when he wins the WWE WHC from Brock

I can't wait until he cashes in because I've been enjoying him as a heel. Personally, I think that next year is Rollins' year (The Year of Rollins). Some people may not like his gear but I liked it from the start because it's quite futuristic and he said myself that he didn't want to look like anyone else. Also, like MCMG said about the suicide dive; I feel the same way. What ever happened to the baseball slide in WWE? The last time I seen someone do it was Jericho recently. I think it would be a good addition to replace the suicide dive in his move-set.

Many people want to see a Triple-Threat between the ex-Shield members for the WWEWHC at WM31, but I rather wait until at least Summerslam because I think Rollins should have a decent reign as champ. If it happens at WM31, I hope Rollins come out on top. You will then have a situation where both Ambrose and Reigns are chasing him next year. It could also lead to a possible situation where Ambrose or Reigns win the MITB next year (most likely Ambrose).

Rollins is doing good , but I have a feeling that oncehe turns face he'll be lost in the shuffle just like many good heels before him ( Miz , Ziggler etc )

Just for you, love your pic xP

Anyway, Rollins is great at what he does. Someone once mentioned that he takes so much of his heel style from so many different legends that you can tell he idolizes these heels. As long as he can keep this up till Mania, I think he'll be fine. Here's why

Royal Rumble: Reigns wins
Wrestlemania: Reigns loses to Lesnar in a tough match but Rollins cashes in on Lesnar. He'll get a huge pop and be able to go face. It's an idea

Great heel and provided great foil for reigns and ambrose to play off

Could be best wwe heel since Y2J in my opinion, his ring work is excellent and he could be a wonderful heel champion when the time is right, id have him cash in on cena at rumble, lose belt at elimination chamber then have his big mainia fight with ambrose
