Yeah because it would be good for people to go to work all high and shit... Yeah let that pharmacist do marijuana so he fucks up a prescription and kills someone...

Would you let a pharmacist work drunk?

No, genius. That doesn't mean beer is illegal.

It should be legal for people to do on their off time, and the only reason it isn't is because the government can't make any money off it, due to pot being damn near the easiest plant in the world to grow.

Yeah, so let's make alcohol illegal, too. Same with any prescription medication, as it can alter one's performance at work.

VInce McMahon doesnt care about other people as long as he is making money... Let them kill themselves, its not his fault.

Marijuana has effects on the body, it shouldn't be allowed. I wouldn't want any of my workers using it.

i think alcohol should be illegal.

Too many DWI and deaths and other nasty things caused by it.

Also, it basically is posion, and does no good for the body.

There's a nifty little device called a vaporizer.

Tends to erase most negative side effects of weed.

You know, if weed were legal...it occurs that vaporizers would be cheap and easily available.

Man, you could buy one, get high as fuck, and not have to deal with side effects. Sure would be nice.

Its negatives out weigh whatever supposed postives it has

Doesn't really matter. It shouldn't be illegal even if it was complete poison. Lots of people manage to drink responsibly. And if the morons want to be morons, that's their right.

We tried banning alcohol once. For 13 years. It didn't do so well.

With your logic, we should just make everything illegal because "lots of people [would] manage to [insert word] responsibly.

That last part shows that people are idotic morons generally speaking and generally are highly addicted to pure posion.

On what scale?

On the scale of facts.

It severely damages the liver, posioning and eventually causing it to no longer fuction. Without a liver, we die. See, as you probably know, the liver filters almost everything we ingest, from food to drugs, at some point, Without this filtering system, everything we have in the body would eventually cause us to die.

It impairs the brain. While "under the influence", it impairs our judgement, vision, coordnation, and disrupts our emotional states. Therefore, under this state, a person would be more likely to be harmed or killed, due to these factors, and the taking of the risk of driving, which you know requires all these things to be stable in order for drving to be done safely. Think about all the people who have innocently died due to some drunk idiot driving a car and then hitting their car and killing them.

-"Dr. Kenneth Mukamal, an internist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and assistant professor at Harvard Medical School in Boston, was the lead author of a New England Journal of Medicine study examining the roles of drinking patterns and heart disease that found, after 12 year of follow-up, that men who consumed alcohol between three and seven days a week had fewer heart attacks than men who drank once a week."

-"A lower risk of diabetes has been seen in women and men."

-"More recently we've done some work on moderate drinking and dementia. We looked at a group of older adults in the United States - average age was in the mid-70s - and found a reduced risk...There is also evidence that moderate drinking may prevent silent strokes or other subtle types of brain injury that we know over time can predispose to dementia. I think it's still an area where we need some more investigation."

Overall recommendation: "I would say that for people who are drinking moderately and are able to control it and don't have any of the absolute reasons why they shouldn't be drinking alcohol, that there is no evidence now that that's a bad thing to do.

Beyond that, I don't think right now we have enough evidence to say that anybody should take up drinking just for any particular benefit unless their doctors recommend that they do so."

There are some more facts. But who has determined the things you have deemed as "negative" to be "negative"?
